Clear of Blood Thinners and Primed for a Massive Target Share in New Orleans

Chris Olave enters the 2026 season on incredibly encouraging news, having officially finished his course of blood thinners on June 29. Now fully cleared to resume football activities, the fifth-year wideout is set to command the clear WR1 role in the Saints' offense once again. He is coming off a stellar 2025 campaign where he established career-highs with 109 receptions, 1,233 yards, and nine touchdowns.

With the Saints drafting rookie receiver Jordyn Tyson eighth overall, Olave gains a dangerous running mate on the opposite side to lift safety help, while veteran Alvin Kamara remains a check-down option. Our models project Olave for 86 receptions, 1,100 yards, and seven touchdowns on 136 targets, cementing him as a highly efficient target hog.

Looking at his draft trajectory, Olave's ADP has stabilized around 28 in late June after some early-summer volatility. Fantasy managers are getting a strong value at this late second- or early third-round price tag in full PPR leagues, where our projections view him as an outstanding anchor for fantasy rosters.
