Sidney Crosby | Fantasy Outlook

Crosby anchors top line as Penguins host Jets at PPG Paints Arena

Sidney Crosby continues to defy father time as he leads the unbeaten Pittsburgh Penguins (2–0–0) into PPG Paints Arena tonight against the Winnipeg Jets. The 39-year-old captain has kicked off his campaign in steady form, collecting two assists through his first two games while anchoring Pittsburgh’s top forward line and top power-play unit. Pittsburgh enters as the home favorite in an expected higher-scoring environment, and Crosby is slated to go up against Clay Stevenson (confirmed) between the pipes for Winnipeg. With his primary role locked in, Crosby remains the engine of Pittsburgh's offensive attack.

Our data projects a dependable evening for Crosby, expecting ~1 point, ~2–3 shots on goal, and a small goal chance to yield around 3.5 fantasy points with quality power-play exposure. Looking at the broader schedule, Pittsburgh has four total games on tap this week, leaving three remaining after tonight, with our projections calling for approximately 14.6 fantasy points over that stretch. Given his elite first-line deployment, consistent playmaking, and favorable matchup, deploy the veteran captain with full confidence in all league formats. Today’s action: Strong Start.
