Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire: 4 Hitters Trending Up Fast
Hot streaks, returning players and stolen-base upside highlight today's top fantasy baseball waiver wire bats.
It's time to dive back into fantasy baseball. We will go over some waiver wire hitters here.
Here's Monday's waiver wire hitter article, plus Tuesday's starting pitcher streaming article.
Fantasy baseball waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP!
Travis Bazzana - Cleveland Guardians
Bazzana is rostered in roughly 70% of fantasy baseball leagues right now. He was at 58% just three days ago, so he's rising quickly.
He is riding a six-game hitting streak right now. Bazzana has 10 hits over that span, including three home runs and two doubles. He has seven RBIs, eight runs scored, a stolen base, five walks and three strikeouts in that stretch.
Bazzana is hitting .274 and getting on base at a .373 clip over 48 games and 204 plate appearances in his first MLB season. The former first overall pick has 48 total hits, including 11 doubles, seven home runs and a triple. Bazzana also has 24 RBIs and runs scored, 12 stolen bases, 26 walks and 38 strikeouts.
The second baseman is trending up, and really was a bit overlooked before this recent hot stretch. Bazzana has delivered well since being called up, and he's rightfully being added and utilized in more leagues now.
He needs to be in all deeper leagues for sure, and there's a bunch of standard leagues that should be rostering Bazzana now. Make the move before you miss out on him for good.
Kyle Teel - Chicago White Sox
Teel is up 6.28% today, and he's now owned in 33.82% of leagues overall.
Teel finally got on the field, after missing the entire season to now with an injury that he suffered in the World Baseball Classic. Teel hit fourth and played catcher on Monday. He was 0-for-4, with three strikeouts.
It was a rough start for Teel, but better days are certainly ahead. He hit .273 and got on base at a .375 clip over 78 games and 297 plate appearances in his first big league season in 2025.
Teel should play enough to be a fantasy asset over time. He's a good deep-league asset, and could work into standard leagues if he's delivering enough at the plate.
Add and utilize Teel in deeper leagues today, and be ready to add him in some standard leagues if he starts producing enough at the plate.
Nasim Nunez - Washington Nationals
Nunez is rostered in 44.44% of leagues now after a 3.28% increase today.
Nunez is riding an eight-game hitting streak, and has multi-hit efforts in six of those games. He has 14 hits over that span, including two triples and a double. Nunez also has four RBIs and stolen bases, six runs scored, three walks and four strikeouts too.
He has a .241 average and .323 on-base percentage over 73 contests and 254 plate appearances this season. Nunez has 53 total hits, including four doubles and three triples. He has 24 RBIs, 30 runs scored, 29 stolen bases, 26 walks and 54 strikeouts.
Nunez plays second base primarily, but could also be eligible at shortstop, and maybe even the outfield. The more positions he's eligible at, the better.
Nunez might not be a power threat, but he's racking up hits and getting on base plenty of late. He's likely to top out as a deep-league fantasy asset, but he's worth utilizing while he's hitting well. If you have a short-term need in the infield, at least consider Nunez.
Mickey Moniak - Colorado Rockies
Moniak is owned in about 63% of leagues right now. He's back on the rise after returning from the injured list.
He returned on Monday, but did not start. Moniak got one at-bat after coming on as a pinch-hitter, and he singled in that plate appearance.
Moniak is enjoying a career season through 44 games and 165 plate appearances. He has a .285 average and .339 OBP, plus 28 RBIs, 21 runs scored, a stolen base, 10 walks and 40 strikeouts. Moniak has 43 total hits, including 12 home runs, nine doubles and two triples.
The outfielder starts against right-handed starting pitchers, so he should be in the lineup plenty. Him not being out there against some lefties though holds his fantasy outlook back a touch.
If you need some fantasy outfield help, then adding Moniak now for free in deeper leagues is a move I'd be all over. He should remain a pretty good deep-league asset all season, so see if you can scoop Moniak up off the waiver wire today.
When his bat is hot, he's a standard league streaming option, so those lacking outfielders in those leagues also need to keep tabs on Moniak.
