Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire: 5 Pitchers to Add Monday, Including Pallante and Senga
From potential saves to Monday starters, these five pitchers are worth a look on the fantasy baseball waiver wire.
Let's open a new week by checking out some fantasy baseball waiver wire/streaming options.
We'll begin with pitching options here. Check back later for hitting options, plus some weekly projections.
Fantasy baseball waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP! The Fantasy Sports Assistant now can answer questions you have after doing team breakdowns or waiver wire analysis!
Martin Perez - Atlanta Braves
Perez has risen 2.74% already today, and he now sits at 39.73% overall.
Perez will get a start against the Twins on Monday evening. That's a pretty solid matchup on paper, but Perez is more on the rise because he's pitched well most of this season.
He has made 19 starts across 23 total appearances and sits with an 8-6 record and 2.96 earned run average. Perez has pitched 106 1/3 innings and struck out 80 batters along the way.
Perez is a good deep-league fantasy option, and probably should be held in those leagues for as long as he's pitching well. He's even a standard league streaming option tonight, especially coming off three straight scoreless starts.
Kodai Senga - New York Mets
Senga is now rostered in 26.03% of fantasy leagues. He was at 8.14% back on August 10.
Senga was a starting pitcher to open the season, but has transitioned to a relief role now. He's earning saves of late, so he's back on the rise as a fantasy asset.
He's made 18 appearances overall. Senga is 0-8, but now has three saves (across his last three outings). He's pitched 49 2/3 innings and has a 7.79 ERA but he has 60 strikeouts and has not allowed a run over five August appearances, which have covered five innings.
Senga is a decent deep-league fantasy add now that he's earning a few saves for New York. It might not last the remainder of the season, especially after Devin Williams is back from injury, but until that time, Senga can be utilized in some more fantasy leagues.
Andre Pallante - St. Louis Cardinals
Pallante is up 2.75% today and is now rostered in 52.07% of leagues overall.
He will start against the Reds on Monday afternoon in the second game of a doubleheader. That's a solid matchup on paper, so Pallante could deliver big.
Over 23 starts in 2026, Pallante is 12-6 with a 3.46 ERA. He's got 92 strikeouts over 130 innings pitched. He's faced Cincinnati twice already this season, winning each time - he's allowed just one run over 13 innings, while striking out 11.
Between his season-long numbers and his stats against the Reds, I really like Pallante in his probable start today. Try him in deeper leagues for sure, and give him some serious consideration in standard leagues as well.
Ben Joyce - Los Angeles Angels
Joyce is up 2.28% so far today, which brings his overall mark to 17.81%.
Joyce got a late start to his season because he was working back from a major injury, but he's looked fantastic in his first five appearances.
He's got two saves and a hold over those appearances. Joyce got the saves in his last two outings, and has yet to allow a run. He's only allowed one hit and one walk, and he has six strikeouts to his name already.
Joyce can be a good fantasy asset when healthy, and he appears to have the closer role already for LA. The Angels don't win a ton, which will hold his fantasy value back a bit, but he's at least worth some deep-league adds/utilization, and if he keeps pitching well, he could eventually work into some standard leagues.
Walker Buehler - San Diego Padres
Buehler has been added in 3.04% of leagues - he sits at 20.09% overall now.
He will make a start against the Mets on Monday afternoon. That's a good matchup on paper, and he's pitched well of late, giving fantasy owners another reason to add and utilize him.
Buehler has a 4.88 ERA over 24 starts this season. He's 7-5 and has 100 strikeouts over 114 1/3 innings pitched. Buehler has allowed three or less runs in five straight starts, posting a 3.20 ERA and 2-0 record in that span, while also striking out 19 over 25 1/3 innings.
Buehler is trending up of late, and the matchup today is a chance for him to keep rolling. Try Buehler in more deeper leagues, and hold him until his numbers fall off. He could even be worth trying in some standard leagues today, but he's a true streamer in those leagues.
