Allen Signs with Colts
Wide receiver Keenan Allen isn't done yet. He signed a one-year deal worth up to $8.32 million with the Indianapolis Colts.
Allen is heading into his 14th NFL season, and appears to still have some gas in the tank. He got in 17 games with the Chargers last season, catching 81 of his 122 targets for 777 yards and four touchdowns.
His best days are well behind him, but he can still be a decent option in a team's passing game. The Colts needed more pass catchers, so this could work out well for Allen.
Alec Pierce and Josh Downs are the top wideouts for Indy, and now Allen is projected to start alongside them. Pierce is still working back after offseason surgery, so the need for a wideout in Indy was even higher.
Signing Allen knocks Ashton Dulin, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Anthony Gould off a potential starting role, though one of them still could start, or play a lot, if Pierce is limited or out early in the season.
I think Allen is a decent fantasy option looking at the team's wideouts overall. In time, we should get an idea of where Allen is going in fantasy drafts, but he should at least be worth roster spots in deeper leagues. He could be drafted late in standard leagues, and stashed in case he takes off with his new team.
This signing is a boost to the Colts in the real world, and for Allen in fantasy football. It doesn't alter a ton for Downs or Pierce, but it certainly knocks the “other” wideouts down a peg or two, as Allen should fill the WR3 role at worst.
Hall Out 2-3 Weeks
New York Jets running back Breece Hall is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a groin injury. He is expected to be ready for week 1 of the regular season though.
Hall is the clear RB1 for the Jets. Braelon Allen, Isaiah Davis and Kene Nwangwu are the other running backs on the roster for now.
The 25-year-old Hall has over 1,300 total yards in each of his past three seasons. He's scored 22 touchdowns over that span, and been arguably the Jets' best offensive player.
His ADP is 32, which is already a pretty fair mark. It could fall a bit after the injury news, maybe setting up some draft steal value if Hall plays all regular season. So I'd be watching his draft status and trying to capitalize on the injury news and get him a bit later than that.
There's some risk involved, but right now, Hall looks to be good to go for the regular season. Allen's ADP (185.25) should rise after this news, but he's still a better deep-league fantasy asset, and not someone to roster in many standard leagues.
We'll reassess things as the season nears, and we get a better idea of the status and outlook for Hall. The Jets aren't likely to be good in 2026, and an injury to their top RB and one of the best players doesn't help matters.
Monangai Out Multiple Weeks
Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai is out multiple weeks with a knee injury.
We discussed the injury a bit in Monday's roundup, but now have a definitive timeline, so we can address things a bit further.
He's going around pick 91 overall, and this injury issue should drop him even lower. I already liked Monangai's ADP because I think he and D'Andre Swift split the Bears' backfield pretty evenly in 2026. Take Monangai later in your redraft league drafts, and hope this injury issue doesn't linger.
Swift's ADP (pick 53) could rise after this news. I think his ADP was a bit early already, and if it goes up even more, I really would be skipping Swift. If he falls into the 60s, or later, that's when I'd start considering Swift. Don't let Monangai's injury move your opinions on Swift all that much.
If Monangai's injury lingers, or worsens, it could be Roschon Johnson who serves as RB2 for Chicago. The Bears also have Brittain Brown on the roster for now.
Tyson Out 2 Months
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Jordyn Tyson is another guy we discussed a bit on Monday. He is out approximately two months with a hamstring injury.
The first-round pick had injury issues in college, and now already has an injury before his NFL career kicks off. That's definitely concerning, and it should alter your fantasy view of the rookie.
Tyson's ADP is 80.5, which was a solid mark. It needs to drop after this injury news, and maybe even as far as the 100s. Know that regardless of where you draft Tyson, there's risk in rostering him in 2026.
However, as the team's clear WR2 behind Chris Olave, it's hard to not be somewhat excited about Tyson yet. Speaking of Olave, his ADP of 28.25 should go up a bit after the Tyson injury news.
Look for rookies Bryce Lance and Barion Brown to maybe factor in more, along with Devaughn Vele and others, especially if Tyson is limited or out early in the season.
This is a real-world blow to the Saints, and it could be detrimental to the team's playoff chances. The NFC South is weak, so that helps, and if quarterback Tyler Shough takes a step forward, he and the offense could be fine without Tyson.
Miller Signs with Cowboys
Pass rusher Von Miller is joining the Dallas Cowboys on a one-year deal worth $5.5 million - it could be worth up to $7.5 million.
The 37-year-old can still produce a bit, as he showed over a 17-game season with Washington in 2025. He had nine sacks, 26 combined tackles, 15 QB hits and six TFLs.
He has a little IDP value going into 2026, especially if he can rack up as many sacks as he did a year ago. Miller will likely be a rotational guy, not getting a ton of snaps or starts, but being on the field for passing downs, which gives him fantasy value.
His signing could hurt the outlooks for the likes of Rashan Gary, Donovan Ezeiruaku and rookie Jaishawn Barham a bit, as Miller will steal some snaps and production from those other pass-rushing linebackers.
It's a smart real-world move for Dallas, which needed more depth there and on defense. It doesn't move the needle a bunch, but it should help the Cowboys push for a playoff spot.
Smith Lands with Falcons
Pass rusher Za'Darius Smith is joining the Atlanta Falcons on a one-year deal worth $6 million - it could be worth up to $8 million.
Smith is 33 years old now, and had retired in October of last season. Atlanta has a need for pass rushers, so Smith is signing, and he could end up starting.
James Pearce Jr. got an eight-game suspension a couple days ago, while Jalon Walker tore his ACL and is out for the upcoming season. So Atlanta is down its top-two pass rushers, creating a need for Smith.
He's already projected to start for the Falcons, so that gives Smith some IDP value. He's past his prime, and shouldn't be expected to produce a ton, but he could be worth utilizing in a few leagues at least.
Samson Ebukam and Azeez Ojulari were the projected starters before Smith was signed, and Bralen Trice and Cameron Thomas are among the depth options. The LB pass-rusher room went from a huge strength to a massive weakness, so signing Smith is a decent boost to that room.
It will help the team in the real world, but not move the needle too much. We'll see if anyone can take advantage of the extra opportunities with Walker and Pearce out.
