Jesus Sanchez | Fantasy Outlook

Jesús Sánchez's blistering hot streak makes him an essential fantasy option in Toronto's outfield.

Sánchez is absolutely tearing it up, batting .471 with a 1.236 OPS over his last five games, including celebrating his 500th career hit. He has firmly established himself as Toronto's primary right fielder with Anthony Santander sidelined. His hot bat is a major spark for the third-place Blue Jays (33-36) as they fight to climb the divisional standings.

While his current .296 average is far outperforming his career norms, our models expect some regression closer to his projected .244 rest-of-season pace. Even with expected cooling, his current everyday volume and excellent hard-hit metrics mean he should comfortably blow past his modest eight-homer projection. Ride this wave while he is locked in.

Looking at the rest of the week, the Blue Jays have three home games left against the division-rival Yankees. Sánchez faces challenging matchups, notably going against Cam Schlittler and his elite 1.87 ERA on Saturday, but his supreme confidence makes him matchup-proof right now. He is a clear Start.
