Grant Taylor brings electric strikeout stuff to high-leverage late innings for Chicago

Taylor encountered minor turbulence with a 5.19 ERA over his last two weeks, but he has been dominant across the second half with 20 strikeouts in 12.5 innings over the last month. Operating as a pivotal late-inning weapon for the first-place White Sox (76-73), the dynamic right-hander regularly earns high-leverage opportunities. With injuries thinning Chicago's relief corps, his ability to work multiple frames gives manager Will Venable crucial flexibility down the stretch.

His breakout campaign is backed by elite swing-and-miss stuff, pairing a triple-digit heater with a vicious slider to rack up 100 strikeouts in 70.2 innings. He has significantly outpaced our preseason projection of 60 strikeouts and a 3.32 ERA, currently holding a pristine 2.42 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. Backed by seven wins, eight saves, and ten holds, his overpowering arsenal keeps his late-inning value fully sustainable.

Chicago enters a vital seven-game divisional stretch, playing three games in Cleveland before returning home for four matchups against Detroit.
