Padres 3, Nationals 0
San Diego’s Dylan Cease threw a no-hitter in the team’s win over Washington. He struck out nine batters while walking three. He needed 114 pitches to get through the game and lowered his earned run average to 3.50.
Ha-Seong Kim drove in all three of the team’s runs and had two hits. Donovan Solano had two knocks and a run scored, while Xander Bogaerts had a hit, walk and run scored.
Lane Thomas walked two times for Washington.
Patrick Corbin took the loss after allowing three runs (all in the first inning) on four hits and three walks, while striking out seven. He’s 2-10 with a 5.26 ERA this season.
Orioles 7, Marlins 6 (10 inn.)
Baltimore blew a six-run lead but prevailed in extra innings over Miami.
Colton Cowser hit a three-run home run for Baltimore. Anthony Santander and Connor Norby hit solo shots for the Orioles. Cowser also walked and scored a second run. Norby and Santander added a second hit each.
Ryan Mountcastle had three hits, an RBI and a run scored for Baltimore. Austin Hays added two knocks.
Corbin Burnes started for Baltimore and surrendered three runs on six hits and a walk over 7 1/3 innings. He struck out five and now has a 2.45 ERA for the season.
Craig Kimbrel was charged with a blown save after allowing three runs (one earned). Yennier Cano picked up the win before Cionel Perez got the final three outs and the save.
Roddery Munoz started for Miami, allowing six runs on six hits and two walks over five frames. He struck out three.
Calvin Faucher took the loss after allowing the unearned run in the 10th.
Josh Bell hit a solo homer for Miami. He had a second hit and RBI.
Xavier Edwards had two hits, a stolen base, two RBIs and a run scored for the Marlins. Bryan De La Cruz had two knocks and an RBI, while Jonah Bride had a hit and a walk.

Javier Baez hit a three-run homer for Detroit. Bligh Madris had three hits and a run scored, while Colt Keith and Justyn-Henry Malloy each had a hit and a walk.
Detroit used six pitchers in the contest, with no arm going more than two innings. Easton Lucas got the win after tossing two scoreless frames. Alex Faedo, Jason Foley and Andrew Chafin all earned holds before Shelby Miller earned his second save of the season.
Gavin Williams took the loss despite striking out nine over six frames. He allowed three runs on six hits and two walks.
Jose Ramirez had a hit and a walk for Cleveland.
Rangers 2, White Sox 1
Marcus Semien hit a solo bomb for Texas. He had two hits total.
Nathaniel Lowe also had two hits for the Rangers. He walked once and scored a run too. Robbie Grossman and Andrew Knizer had two knocks each. Josh Smith had a hit and a walk, while Corey Seager had a hit and was plunked by a pitch.
Max Scherzer got his second win of the season and struck out nine over six frames. He allowed a run on three hits and a walk and will carry a 3.57 ERA into his next start.
Jacob Latz and Jose Leclerc earned holds before David Robertson claimed his second save of the season.
Jonathan Cannon fell to 1-5 after allowing two runs on eight hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out one.
Brooks Baldwin was the only Chicago player to reach base twice, walking on both occasions. He scored the team’s only run.
Rays 13, Blue Jays 0
Brandon Lowe hit a solo homer for Tampa Bay in its rout of Toronto. He had four hits, two walks, three RBIs and two runs scored in total.
Amed Rosario had three hits, two stolen bases and two runs scored for the Rays, while Isaac Paredes had two hits, a walk, four RBIs and two runs scored. Alex Jackson had two hits, was plunked by a pitch, drove in three runs and scored twice.
Richie Palacios and Taylor Walls each had a hit and two runs scored, with Walls walking twice and Palacios once. Josh Lowe drove in two runs on a hit.
Taj Bradley got the win and improved to 6-4 on the season. He struck out seven over six scoreless innings, while surrendering just two hits and one walk.
Chris Bassitt fell to 8-9 after allowing three runs on five hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out six and has a 3.78 ERA on the season now.
Spencer Horwitz had a hit and a walk for Toronto.

Francisco Lindor stayed hot with a two-run homer for New York. Jeff McNeil had two hits and an RBI. Pete Alonso walked and was hit by a pitch.
Luis Severino started for the Mets, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out six along the way.
Phil Maton got the win after firing a scoreless 10th inning.
Chris Sale allowed two runs on two hits and a walk over 7 1/3 innings for Atlanta. He struck out nine and has a 2.68 ERA this season.
Pierce Johnson allowed the unearned run in the 10th and took the loss.
Austin Riley and Matt Olson had two hits each for the Braves. Marcell Ozuna walked twice and scored a run.
Athletics 6, Angels 5
Daz Cameron and Lawrence Butler hit a two-run homer each for Oakland, while Brent Rooker added a solo blast. Butler had two total hits, a stolen base and two runs scored.
Max Schuemann had two knocks, a stolen base and a run scored for the Athletics. Shea Langeliers had a hit and a walk. Tyler Nevin had a hit and was hit by a pitch.
Ross Stripling got the win despite allowing five runs on six hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out three.
Scott Alexander, Austin Adams and Lucas Erceg earned holds before Tyler Ferguson got the first save with Mason Miller out with an injury.
Kenny Rosenberg took the loss after surrendering six runs on six hits and a walk over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out one.
Kevin Pillar had two hits, a stolen base and a run scored for Los Angeles. Luis Rengifo drove in two runs on a hit.
