Taylor Walls remains a reliable speed asset for the first-place Rays but offers limited overall offensive impact.

Serving as the everyday shortstop for the first-place Tampa Bay Rays (34-16), Walls continues to provide elite defense but quiet offensive results. Over his last 14 days, he is hitting just .216 with zero home runs, though he has chipped in a stolen base. He maintains a secure grip on his starting role with Wander Franco on the restricted list and other infield depth options sidelined.

Walls' recent run of play closely mirrors his career trends and our season projection of a .214 batting average. While his lack of home run power limits his fantasy ceiling, his solid eye at the plate supports a respectable OBP, and his speed remains legitimate. Expect him to track toward our projection of 13 stolen bases while remaining a batting average liability.
