Reds 9, Braves 4

Frankie Montas started for Cincinnati but didn’t get the win after only lasting 4 1/3 innings. He allowed four runs on 10 hits and three walks, while striking out six batters.

Sam Moll pitched next and got the win.

Allan Winans took the loss after surrendering seven runs on six hits and two walks over 2 2/3 innings. He struck out three.

Pirates 5, Cardinals 0

Martin Perez moved to 2-5 after working six scoreless innings. He allowed four hits and five walks, while striking out a pair.

Matthew Liberatore fell to 2-3 after giving up five runs on four hits and three walks over three innings. He struck out three along the way.

Twins 5, Phillies 4

David Festa was Minnesota’s bulk pitcher, allowing a run on four hits and two walks over 4 1/3 innings. He punched out seven.

Jhoan Duran got the win after working a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

Aaron Nola started for Philadelphia and struck out six over six frames. He allowed a run on six hits and three walks.

Orion Kerkering earned a hold despite allowing three runs - with Matt Strahm being tagged with a blown save. Gregory Soto was eventually saddled with the loss.

Brewers 3, Cubs 2

Bryse Wilson was Milwaukee’s bulk pitcher in the contest. He allowed a run on a hit, while striking out three and walking none in four innings of work.

Jakob Junis got the win after working three scoreless innings. Joel Payamps picked up the save, striking out two of the three batters he faced.

Justin Steele worked the first 5 1/3 innings for Chicago, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks. He struck out four and has a 3.08 earned run average on the season.

Tyson Miller pitched next and was charged with a blown save. Hector Neris allowed a run in the top of the ninth and took the loss.

Rockies 20, Red Sox 7

Cal Quantrill improved to 7-7 after allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks over six frames. He struck out three.

Nick Pivetta took the loss and fell to 4-7. He was tagged for eight runs (seven earned) on 10 hits over 2 2/3 innings. Pivetta struck out six and walked none.

Astros 8, Athletics 1

Hunter Brown improved to 9-6 after striking out eight over six innings. He allowed a run on eight hits and a walk and has his ERA down to 4.00.

JP Sears fell to 7-8 after allowing eight runs (seven earned) on nine hits across six innings. He struck out three and walked none.

Angels 2, Mariners 1

Griffin Canning struck out six across five innings in his start for Los Angeles. He allowed a run on four hits and three walks.

Hans Crouse earned the win before Luis Garcia picked up a hold. Carlos Estevez got the save, his 20th of the season.

Luis Castillo started for Seattle, striking out seven over six scoreless innings. He allowed five hits and two walks.

Collin Snider earned a hold before Gregory Santos was charged with the loss and blown save.

Marlins 6, Orioles 3

Edward Cabrera started for Miami, allowing three runs on three hits and four walks across 5 1/3 innings. He struck out six batters along the way.

Huascar Brazoban was charged with a blown save. Andrew Nardi pitched next and got the win. Calvin Fuacher got a hold before Tanner Scott earned his 18th save of the year.

Chayce McDermott worked the first four innings for Baltimore, giving up three runs on five hits and two walks. He struck out three.

Jacob Webb later took the loss.

Guardians 2, Tigers 1

Tanner Bibee tossed five innings for Cleveland, allowing a run on two hits and a walk. He struck out four and now has a 3.50 ERA this season.

Hunter Gaddis eventually picked up the win, and Emmanuel Clase worked a scoreless ninth to grab his 31st save.

Jack Flaherty pitched six strong innings for Detroit. He allowed an unearned run on three hits and two walks, while striking out six. Flaherty’s ERA is down to 2.95.

Beau Brieske took the loss after allowing a run in the eighth.

Padres 12, Nationals 3

Matt Waldron picked up his sixth win after allowing three runs over six innings in his start for San Diego. He allowed four hits and two walks, while striking out four.

Mitchell Parker took the loss, allowing six runs on seven hits and three walks over three innings. He struck out five.

Mets 12, Yankees 3

Sean Manaea pitched 4 2/3 innings for the Mets, allowing two runs on three hits and four walks. He struck out four.

Adam Ottavino got the next out and the win.

Gerrit Cole took the loss after surrendering six runs on eight hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out four.

Blue Jays 6, Rays 3

Yariel Rodriguez struck out six over 5 2/3 innings in his start for Toronto. He allowed two runs on two hits and a walk and now has a 3.69 ERA.

Brendon Little pitched next and was charged with a blown save. Genesis Cabrera later got the win after working an inning.

Zach Eflin worked 5 2/3 innings for Tampa Bay, allowing two runs on six hits. He struck out four and walked none.

Jason Adam eventually took the loss, allowing four runs (two earned) in an inning of work.

Rangers 10, White Sox 2

Nathan Eovaldi moved to 7-4 after striking out 10 batters over seven frames. He allowed two runs on four hits and no walks and now has a 3.31 ERA.

Jose Leclerc earned a hold before the Rangers pulled away.

Chris Flexen took the loss and is now 2-10 on the season. He allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks, while striking out three.

Diamondbacks 8, Royals 6

Ryne Nelson worked six innings for Arizona, allowing four runs on nine hits and two walks. He struck out two.

Joe Mantiply got the win after working a scoreless inning.

Michael Wacha started for Kansas City, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out just one.

Sam Long and Hunter Harvey earned holds before James McArthur was tagged with the loss and blown save after allowing five runs in an inning of work.

Giants 8, Dodgers 3

Robbie Ray earned a win in his season debut for San Francisco. He didn’t allow a hit over five innings, but allowed a run after a pair of walks. Ray struck out eight.

Ryan Walker and Tyler Rogers earned holds before the Giants scored more runs and took away the save situation.

Tyler Glasnow took the loss after giving up two runs on four hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out four along the way.
