It’s time to go over how pitchers fared after already looking at the top hitters. Here are the writeups from Monday (hitters and pitchers).

Guardians 5, Tigers 4

Xzavion Curry started for Cleveland, but made it just 4 1/3 innings. He allowed two runs on four hits and a walk, while striking out one.

Cade Smith pitched next and got the win after striking out three of the five batters he faced. Nick Sandlin, Hunter Gaddis and Scott Barlow earned holds before Emmanuel Clase earned his 30th save on the season.

Five Detroit pitchers were used in the contest, with no pitcher going more than two innings. Joey Wentz worked two frames and got the loss after allowing three runs on three hits and two walks, while striking out three.

Marlins 6, Orioles 3

Kyle Tyler worked the first 4 2/3 innings for Miami, allowing three runs on nine hits and two walks. Tyler struck out five batters.

Andrew Nardi was credited with a hold, A.J. Puk got the win after tossing two scoreless innings and Tanner Scott picked up his 17th save after striking out two in the ninth.

Albert Suarez fell to 5-4 after giving up six runs on eight hits and a walk over two innings. He struck out three batters and saw his earned run average balloon to 3.48.

Cardinals 2, Pirates 1

Lance Lynn started and worked the first five innings for St. Louis. He didn’t allow a run on four hits and three walks, while striking out a pair.

John King and Andrew Kittredge earned holds before JoJo Romero was charged with a blown save. Ryan Fernandez got the win before Ryan Helsley claimed his 33rd save. Helsley struck out all three batters he faced.

Paul Skenes was dealt his first loss, but still pitched very well. He allowed two runs on four hits over 8 1/3 innings. Skenes struck out eight and walked none. He’s got a 1.93 ERA for the season.

Padres 4, Nationals 0

Randy Vasquez tossed six scoreless innings for San Diego. He allowed four hits, while striking out one and walking none.

Adrian Morejon earned a hold before the Padres scored and took away the save situation.

DJ Herz took the loss after allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over five frames. He struck out four batters.

Mets 3, Yankees 2

Jose Quintana struck out six over five innings and got the win for the Mets. He allowed a run on three hits and five walks and is now 5-6 on the season.

Adam Ottavino, Alex Young, Dedniel Nunez and Phil Maton earned holds before Jake Diekman claimed his fourth save of the year.

Luis Gil started for the Yankees and worked the first five frames. He allowed a run on four hits and a walk, while striking out six. Gil’s ERA now sits at 3.10.

Michael Tonkin pitched next and took the loss after allowing two runs in 1 1/3 innings.

Rays 4, Blue Jays 2

Tampa Bay used six pitchers to get through the contest. Tyler Alexander pitched second and got the win after tossing three scoreless innings. He allowed three hits, while striking out four and walking none.

Manuel Rodriguez, Kevin Kelly and Jason Adam earned holds before Pete Fairbanks got his 19th save.

Jose Berrios took the loss after allowing three runs on three hits and six walks over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out five and is now 8-8 on the season.

Phillies 3, Twins 0

Zack Wheeler started for Philadelphia and worked seven scoreless innings. He allowed three hits and two walks, while striking out seven. Wheeler has a 2.55 ERA for the season.

Gregory Soto earned the win after getting an out in the eighth. Matt Strahm picked up his first save after striking out two in the ninth.

Simeon Woods Richardson started and pitched six scoreless frames for Minnesota. He allowed three hits and one walk, while striking out five.

Jhoan Duran took the loss after allowing three runs in 2/3 of an inning.

Brewers 1, Cubs 0

Colin Rea started and worked five scoreless for Milwaukee. He gave up four hits and two walks, but struck out eight to work out of any trouble. Rea has a 3.60 ERA on the season.

Elvis Peguero got the win after working a scoreless frame. Jared Koenig got a hold and Trevor Megill worked a scoreless ninth to claim his 20th save.

Jameson Taillon took the tough loss after allowing a run on four hits and three walks over 7 1/3 innings. He struck out three and still has a 2.96 ERA this season.

Rangers 3, White Sox 2

Jon Gray struck out five over 7 2/3 strong innings for Texas. He allowed a run on four hits and no walks.

Josh Sborz earned a hold before Kirby Yates got the final two outs to grab his 18th save.

Garrett Crochet fell to 6-7 after allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out seven batters.

Diamondbacks 6, Royals 2

Jordan Montgomery improved to 7-5 after working the first five innings for Arizona. He allowed a run on three hits and a walk, while striking out a pair.

Alec Marsh took the loss for Kansas City. He allowed five runs on five hits and two walks, while striking out six.

Red Sox 6, Rockies 0

Cooper Criswell tossed seven scoreless innings for Boston and improved to 4-4 with a win. He gave up five hits and one walk, while striking out four.

Ty Blach took the loss and fell to 3-6 on the season. He gave up six runs on seven hits and a walk, while striking out one.

Athletics 8, Astros 2

Osvaldo Bido struck out six over five solid innings for Oakland. He allowed a run on four hits and no walks and is now 2-1 on the season.

Jake Bloss took the loss after allowing five runs on six hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out five along the way.

Angels 5, Mariners 1

Jose Soriano earned the win for Los Angeles and is now 6-7 on the season. He surrendered just one run on three hits and three walks, while striking out five. Soriano has a 3.51 ERA for the season.

Ben Joyce earned a hold before the Angels scored and took the save situation away.

Logan Gilbert took the loss and fell to 6-6 for the season. He allowed five runs (just one earned) on four hits and a walk, while punching out eight. He has a 2.72 ERA for the year.

Dodgers 5, Giants 2

Landon Knack earned his second win after striking out six over five frames. He gave up a run on two hits and two walks.

Brent Honeywell Jr. and Blake Treinen earned holds for the Dodgers. Alex Vesia allowed a run in the ninth before Evan Phillips came on to get the final out and his 15th save.

Jordan Hicks took the loss for San Francisco and is now 4-7 on the season. He gave up four runs on three hits and five walks, while striking out seven.
