Mets right-hander Zack Wheeler took a no-decision after he allowed three runs on seven hits (one home run) and two walks with five strikeouts over six innings Saturday at Pittsburgh.
Spin: Wheeler (3-2, 3.83 ERA) has seen his control issues reemerge in recent starts, but in this outing, he was better in that regard, throwing 59 of 94 pitches for strikes. Given that the Pirates are a fairly patient team, that bodes well for Wheeler going forward. He should be safe to use in deeper mixed leagues when he starts as the Mets host the Brewers on June 1.
