Hunter Gaddis emerges as a premier setup option during a month-long scoreless streak

Gaddis has been virtually untouchable of late, posting a perfect 0.00 ERA over his last 13 games with 14 strikeouts across 9.7 innings of work. The second-place Guardians currently sit at 52-48 and just one game back of the division lead, relying heavily on Gaddis as a primary high-leverage arm. With Emmanuel Clase still away from the team and Tim Herrin recently hitting the injured list with an elbow issue, Gaddis is locked in as the number one setup man in the bullpen.

Under the hood, our models suggest some caution despite the recent dominance, as his 1.56 WHIP on the season is significantly higher than his career norms and indicates he has been navigating heavy traffic. While his 3.00 ERA is an asset, it outperforms our season projection of 3.90, suggesting some regression could be looming if his control doesn't sharpen. However, his 10.00 K/9 rate remains elite and provides a stable fantasy floor for managers in need of strikeout volume from the relief corps.
