Top-10 Dynasty Baseball Relief Pitchers for 2025: Emmanuel Clase, Mason Miller, Andres Munoz, Felix Bautista, Jhoan Duran and More
Morgan unveils his top-10 dynasty relief pitchers for the 2025 MLB season.
It’s time for another dynasty baseball ranking list. Today, we’ll cover relief pitchers/closers.
Relief pitchers/closers are probably the hardest position to look at from a dynasty perspective, because things can change in a hurry. I’ll do my best to project the top dynasty guys going into 2025 though.
We’ve already taken a look at the top dynasty third basemen, first basemen, second basemen, shortstops, catchers, starting pitchers and outfielders.
Here are the links to the top-10 redraft rankings for 2025: third basemen, first basemen, closers, designated hitters, second basemen, shortstops, outfielders, catchers and starting pitchers.

1. Emmanuel Clase
Clase was my No. 1 fantasy closer in my 2025 redraft rankings, and he’s still my top guy in dynasty leagues.
Clase is going to turn 27 years old this season, and is the best closer in the game. He should remain the top guy for at least a few more seasons, or at least be in the conversation.
Cleveland has a number of talented bullpen arms who set up Clase, so if the Guardians are ever struggling, Clase could become a big-time trade asset for a bigger market. He’s one of the few closers now who is a safe bet to stick around for the next several seasons.
2. Mason Miller
Miller was definitely an option at No. 1, but because of the team he is on, there’s no way I could justify him over Clase. Miller is also 26, just a younger 26 and with not nearly the amount of MLB success Clase has.
He broke out in 2025, striking out 104 batters over 65 innings while earning 28 saves. Miller had a 2.49 earned run average along the way.
Even if he remains with the Athletics for the long haul, Miller is going to be a good fantasy reliever because of his big strikeout numbers. There’s a good chance he gets traded at some point, at which point he’ll get a boost to his fantasy outlook and challenge Clase seriously for the top spot.
3. Devin Williams
Williams is my No. 2 fantasy reliever for 2025, but he drops down a peg in dynasty setups because he’s 30 years old.
That’s not old, but with a shorter shelf life for relievers, it definitely doesn’t help Williams. The trade to the Yankees should keep Williams as one of the better fantasy closers in the game for at least a few more seasons.
He’s not a huge strikeout guy, but can rack up saves while sporting a very low ERA. With a more talented team around him now, I expect Williams to earn his fair share of wins and saves, while posting sub-2.00 ERAs.
4. Andres Munoz
I have Munoz a lot higher on my dynasty lists than I’ve seen anywhere else. Him being 26 years old definitely gives him a boost in my eyes.
With a career 2.65 ERA and 271 strikeouts over 197 innings, you can see more of why I like Munoz. I think 2025 is his true breakout season.
As long as he can stay healthy and keep posting similar numbers, I see Munoz as one of the better fantasy relievers for the next several seasons. I’m taking a little risk ranking him this high after not many big MLB seasons, but I like his potential in the long run to skip over him any longer.
5. Ryan Helsley
I have Helsley as my No. 5 guy after he also ranked at that spot in my redraft rankings.
He broke out in 2024, collecting 49 saves and 79 strikeouts over 66 1/3 innings. Helsley posted a 2.04 ERA and has a career 2.63 mark.
There’s a lot to like with Helsley, but he’s also 30 years old, so I don’t want to place him any higher. He should remain a good/great fantasy option for the next few seasons at least.
6. Josh Hader
Hader is one of the bigger fantasy relievers in the game. He’s also going to be 31 this coming season, and is coming off one of the worst seasons in his career.
In 71 games last season, Hader had a 3.80 ERA over 71 innings. Hader had 34 saves and 105 strikeouts to remain one of the top fantasy closers in the league.
I think Hader bounces back a bit this season, but he’s also on the back nine of his career. He’s got at least a few more big seasons in him, but after last year’s performance, I’m a bit concerned about him moving forward.
7. Felix Bautista
A lot of people forget about Bautista after he missed the entire 2024 season. He was one of the better closers in the game in 2023, and was also pretty good in 2022.
In 2023, Bautista had a 1.48 ERA and 33 saves across 56 games and 61 innings. He struck out 110 batters along the way.
Bautista should return as the team’s closer in 2025, but he’s obviously a risk coming off a major injury. That mixed with him being 29 years old has me ranking him seventh. If he proves he can get back to his 2023 self, I’d consider moving him up a couple spots in my rankings.
8. Jhoan Duran
I really would like to rank the 27-year-old Duran higher, but he’s got competition on his own team now for the title of best reliever.
He’s regressed in each of the past two seasons after debuting in 2022. Duran averages 11.7 strikeouts per nine innings for his career, and has a 2.59 ERA.
I think Duran has a career-best season in 2025, and should remain a good option for a few more seasons, but that little bit of doubt in my head means he gets ranked eighth. A big season could shoot him way up this list going into 2026.
9. Edwin Diaz
Diaz didn’t immediately bounce back to the reliever he was pre-injury, but he still had a pretty good showing in 2024.
Diaz went 6-4, with 20 saves, a 3.52 ERA and 84 strikeouts over 53 2/3 innings. The higher ERA is a concern, as are the low amount of saves, but the big strikeout numbers keep Diaz as an intriguing fantasy option going into 2025.
He’s 30 years old, which is another negative against his dynasty value. I still like Diaz for a few more seasons, and so will your dynasty team.
10. Ryan Walker
Walker got in his first big season in 2024, and it’s enough for me to place him in the top-10 dynasty closers.
The 29-year-old went 10-4 with a 1.91 ERA and 10 saves last season. He struck out 99 batters in 80 innings of work.
Even if he isn’t a full-time closer, Walker can help out fantasy teams. He should open the season as the Giants’ closer, and he has the chance to be one of the biggest fantasy surprises if he retains that role all season.
Honorable Mentions
There’s a number of relievers who I considered here.
The closest to the top 10 were: Alexis Diaz, Raisel Iglesias, Robert Suarez and Pete Fairbanks.
Some other intriguing names to me are: Jordan Romano, Justin Martinez, Abner Uribe, David Bednar, Jeff Hoffman, Porter Hodge, Ben Joyce.
A few more names to keep an eye on: Griffin Jax (who I was referencing in the Duran writeup), Bryan Abreu, Hunter Gaddis, Lucas Erceg, Edwin Uceta, Cade Smith, Camilo Doval, Matt Brash, Jeremiah Estrada, Matt Svanson and Troy Taylor.
