Abner Uribe | Fantasy Outlook

Abner Uribe nears activation from the injured list to bolster Milwaukee's bullpen

Uribe has been sidelined on the 15-day injured list since August 11 due to a right forearm flexor strain, missing time for the first-place Brewers (81-50). Prior to the injury, the dynamic right-hander posted a spotless 0.00 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with seven strikeouts over 6.2 innings in his last 30 days. He recently threw a successful 15-pitch bullpen session and is eligible to be activated on August 26.

When healthy, Uribe has been outstanding this year, posting a 2.22 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 18 holds across 49 appearances, easily outpacing our baseline 3.34 ERA projection. His dominance builds directly on his stellar 2025 campaign where he logged a 1.87 ERA. His high-strikeout stuff makes his high-leverage late-inning production fully sustainable once active.

Milwaukee plays six games this week, wrapping up a series against the Mets before hosting the Rangers. While our models project three innings of relief once he returns, fantasy managers in weekly-lock leagues should keep him benched until the team officially activates him and confirms his health.
