Fantasy Baseball Week 23 Projections and Waiver Wire Hitting Options
Looking at week 23 fantasy baseball projections to identify some possible streaming options.
A new week of fantasy baseball is here, so we will begin the week by looking over projections for hitters to maybe find some waiver wire adds or streaming options.
We only mention players who are below 90% rostered. Let's dive in!

Second Basemen
Luke Keaschall is projected for 27 fantasy points over the coming week. He's owned in 74% of leagues and has six games scheduled.
Over his first 25 MLB games and 103 plate appearances, Keaschall has a .337 average and .427 on-base percentage. He has eight doubles and two home runs among his 30 total knocks, along with 15 RBIs, 11 runs scored, seven stolen bases and 12 walks and strikeouts.
Otto Lopez is set for 24 points over seven contests. He's rostered in 28% of leagues.
He's hitting .240 and getting on base at a .309 clip across 112 games and 463 plate appearances this season. Lopez has 17 doubles and 11 homers among his 101 total hits, and also has posted 59 RBIs, 53 runs scored, 11 stolen bases, 39 walks and 66 strikeouts.
Jeff McNeil (25% rostered) is set for 23 points over seven games. Ozzie Albies is also projected for 23 points over seven contests, but is owned in 85% of leagues.
Bryson Stott (75%) has seven games scheduled and is set for 22 points. Nick Gonzales (7%), Brandon Lowe (87%) and Luis Garcia Jr. (43%) all are projected for 21 points - of that trio, only Gonzales has seven games this week.
Jeremiah Jackson (6%) and Jackson Holliday (72%) are each set for 20 points over seven contests.
Third Basemen
Alec Bohm is projected for 22 points across seven games. He's rostered in 86% of leagues.
He's played in 99 games and gotten 414 plate appearances and sits with a .282 average and .331 OBP. Bohm has 14 doubles, nine homers and two triples among his 107 hits, while also having 46 RBIs, 43 runs scored, two stolen bases, 25 walks and 69 strikeouts.
Caleb Durbin (19%) and Mark Vientos (48%) are each projected for 21 points across seven contests.
Durbin has a .249 average and .326 OBP across 107 games and 390 plate appearances. He has 20 doubles and eight homers among his 85 total knocks, while also producing 44 RBIs, 48 runs scored, 11 stolen bases, 23 walks and 38 strikeouts.
Vientos has played in 90 games and gotten 349 plate appearances so far. He's tallied a .238 average and .284 OBP, along with 77 total hits, 43 RBIs, 31 runs scored, 20 walks and 80 strikeouts. Among Vientos' hits, he has 16 doubles, 12 homers and two triples.
Matt Shaw (62%), Matt Chapman (80%), Brett Baty (38%) and Miguel Vargas (30%) are all set for 20 points this week. Shaw and Chapman have six games, while Baty and Vargas could play up to seven.
Catchers
Agustin Ramirez is set for 25 fantasy points across seven games this week. He's rostered in 85% of leagues.
Ramirez has a .232 average and .288 OBP across his first 105 MLB games and 455 plate appearances. He's posted 27 doubles, 18 homers and a triple among his 97 total hits. Ramirez also has 57 RBIs, 56 runs scored, 10 stolen bases, 27 walks and 89 strikeouts.
Drake Baldwin and Ivan Herrera are each set for 23 points across seven possible contests. Baldwin is at 44% rostered, while Herrera sits at 65%.
Baldwin has a .277 average and .342 OBP across 93 games and 325 plate appearances in his rookie season. He has 12 doubles, 13 homers, 57 RBIs, 35 runs scored, 82 total hits, 26 walks and 54 strikeouts.
Herrera has delivered a .279 average and .355 OBP over 77 games and 322 plate appearances. He has 10 doubles and homers among his 79 total hits, along with 47 RBIs, 33 runs scored, six stolen bases, 28 walks and 67 strikeouts.
Gabriel Moreno (23%) is projected for 22 points over seven contests. J.T. Realmuto (80%) and Yainer Diaz (89%) are each set for 21 points, with Diaz having six games and Realmuto seven.
Carson Kelly (40%), Carlos Narvaez (12%), Austin Wells (39%) and Kyle Teel (13%) are all projected for 20 points this week. Only Kelly has six games this week - everyone else in this group has seven.
First Basemen
Alec Burleson is owned in 67% of leagues and is set for 23 points over seven games.
He's got a .285 average and .336 OBP across 118 games and 455 plate appearances. Burleson has 118 hits, including 20 doubles, 15 homers and a triple, along with 59 RBIs, 45 runs scored, five stolen bases, 33 walks and 61 strikeouts.
Spencer Horwitz is projected for 23 points over seven games as well, but is owned in just 16% of leagues.
He's played in 78 games and gotten 307 plate appearances and sits with a .256 average and .326 OBP so far. Horwitz has 18 doubles and six homers among his 71 total knocks, along with tallying 36 RBIs and runs scored, 28 walks and 60 strikeouts.
Paul Goldschmidt (61%), Ben Rice (71%) and Nathaniel Lowe (36%) are all projected for 22 points over seven contests. Andrew Vaughn (72%) and Warming Bernabel (23%) each sit at 21 projected points - Vaughn has seven possible games this week, while Bernabel has six.
Michael Busch (80%), Romy Gonzalez (13%) and Christian Walker (74%) all are set for 20 fantasy points this coming week. Gonzalez has seven games, while Busch and Walker have six each.
Outfielders
Jakob Marsee is projected for 35 points over seven games. He's rostered in 76% of leagues.
Marsee is hitting .346 and getting on base at a .416 clip across his first 23 MLB games and 89 plate appearances. He has 10 doubles, three triples and four homers among his 27 total hits, along with 23 RBIs, 12 runs scored, seven stolen bases, 10 walks and 21 strikeouts.
Dylan Beavers is set for 31 points across seven games and is rostered in just 20% of leagues.
In his first eight games and 34 big league plate appearances, Beavers has a .296 average and .441 OBP. He's homered once and doubled twice among his eight total hits, while also having three RBIs, seven runs scored, a stolen base, seven walks and 10 strikeouts.
Giancarlo Stanton (61%) and Roman Anthony (81%) are each projected for 25 points across seven contests.
Chandler Simpson (56%), Marcell Ozuna (80%) and Cedric Mullins (57%) are among the outfielders with 24 projected points. Simpson is the only one in that trio with six games scheduled.
Nick Castellanos (82%) and Sal Frelick (74%) are each set for 23 points across seven games. Trent Grisham (39%), Ceddanne Rafaela (77%) and Bryan Reynolds (69%) are outfielders set for 22 points this week - all of those guys have seven scheduled games.
Luis Robert Jr. (66%) is set for 21 points across seven contests. TJ Friedl (65%), Jesus Sanchez (10%), Lawrence Butler (83%), Andy Pages (87%), Jung Hoo Lee (60%), Ramon Laureano (79%), Dylan Crews (49%) and Kerry Carpenter (74%) are all projected for 20 points across six games.
Shortstops
Carson Williams is the top-projected shortstop for the coming week. He's rostered in 21% of leagues and has six games on the schedule.
In his first two games and eight big league plate appearances, Williams has three hits, including a double and home run. He also had three RBIs, four runs scored and one walk, stolen base and strikeout.
Xavier Edwards (85%) is projected for 27 points over seven contests.
In 113 games and 512 plate appearances this season, Edwards has a .291 average and .350 OBP. He's tallied 20 doubles, four triples and two home runs among his 135 total knocks, while also producing 34 RBIs, 64 runs scored, 23 stolen bases, 42 walks and 71 strikeouts.
Colson Montgomery (43%) is set for 26 points across seven games. Trevor Story (84%) is projected for 24 points over seven contests.
Masyn Winn (43%) and Zach Neto (84%) are each set for 23 points this week. Winn has seven games, while Neto has six.
Anthony Volpe (62%) is projected for 22 points across seven games. Chase Meidroth (8%), Carlos Correa (74%) and Dansby Swanson (78%) are all set for 21 points this week - Meidroth is the only guy in that trio with seven games scheduled.
Jose Caballero (36%), Isiah Kiner-Falefa (13%) and Willy Adames (79%) are all projected for 20 points. Adames is the only one in that trio with only six games scheduled.
