Top Hitters

Arizona Diamondbacks’ Eugenio Suarez and Detroit Tigers’ Kerry Carpenter posted four hits each on Wednesday.

Suarez had two home runs, a double and a single for his hits. He drove in two runs and scored four times.

Carpenter had two singles, a double and a triple. He drove in a run and scored once.

Kansas City Royals’ Tommy Pham, Arizona’s Ketel Marte, Cleveland Guardians’ Lane Thomas, San Francisco Giants’ Tyler Fitzgerald and Patrick Bailey and Los Angeles Angels' Nolan Schanuel all tallied three hits.

Pham had singles for all three of his knocks. He also walked once.

Marte singled, doubled and homered in his game. He drove in four runs and scored twice.

Thomas singled three times. He drove in four runs and scored once.

Fitzgerald doubled twice and singled once. He drove in a run, scored three times and was a strikeout victim two times.

Bailey had two singles and a double. He went on to score a run.

Schanuel singled twice and homered once. He drove in two runs, scored once, walked and stole a base.

Los Angeles Dodgers’ Tommy Edman homered twice on Wednesday. He drove in four runs, scored twice and struck out once.

Arizona’s Randal Grichuk drove in three runs on a double and a home run. He scored a run too.

Boston Red Sox’s Tyler O'Neill drove in three runs on a home run. He also walked and struck out once.

Chicago Cubs’ Cody Bellinger homered and drove in three runs. He also walked twice and scored a second run.

Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani drove in three runs on a single, a home run and a walk. He stole a base and scored a run.

San Francisco’s Jerar Encarnacion drove in three runs on a single and a home run. He scored once and also was a strikeout victim.

New York Mets’ Francisco Alvarez homered and drove in three runs. 

Arizona’s Adrian Del Castillo doubled and homered on his way to three RBIs. He scored two runs and struck out once.

Detroit’s Trey Sweeney homered and drove in three runs. He also struck out once.

Cubs’ Isaac Paredes singled and walked three times. He drove in two runs, scored once and also had a sacrifice flyout.

Minnesota Twins’ Carlos Santana singled and walked twice. He also scored a run.

Kansas City Royals’ Salvador Perez singled and walked twice as well. He drove in a run and added a sac fly.

Dodgers’ Max Muncy homered and walked twice. He drove in a run and scored twice.

New York Yankees’ Aaron Judge singled and walked two times. He also was a strikeout victim.

Texas Rangers’ Nathaniel Lowe singled and walked twice as well. He drove in a run as well.

Cubs’ Seiya Suzuki homered, walked twice and scored two runs. He drove in one run.

Pittsburgh Pirates’ Bryan Reynolds doubled twice and was hit by a pitch. He scored a run as well.

Oakland Athletics’ Max Schuemann singled, doubled and stole two bases. He also walked and scored two runs.

Cincinnati Reds’ Noelvi Marte singled, walked and stole two bases. 

Dodgers’ Miguel Rojas singled twice and walked once. He also scored a run.

Atlanta Braves’ Jorge Soler had a single, double and walk on the day. He drove in a run as well.

Tampa Bay Rays’ Jonathan Aranda doubled, homered and walked. He drove in a run and scored once.

Angels’ Niko Kavadas singled twice and walked once. He went on to score once.

Top Starting Pitchers

Pittsburgh’s Bailey Falter worked 7 1/3 scoreless innings and picked up a win. He allowed two hits and three walks, while striking out five batters.

Toronto Blue Jays’ Bowden Francis took a no decision despite allowing just one run over eight innings. He gave up a hit and walk, while hitting two batters and striking out one.

Baltimore Orioles’ Dean Kremer took a no decision as well. He worked seven innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks, while punching out seven.

Mets’ Sean Manaea struck out eight over 6 2/3 innings and also left with a no decision. He allowed a run on three hits and four walks.

Boston’s Nick Pivetta allowed a run on four hits and a walk over six frames. He struck out nine and didn’t earn a decision.

Washington Nationals’ Jake Irvin got a win after tossing six innings. He allowed a run on two hits and a walk, while striking out five.

St. Louis Cardinals’ Lance Lynn left with a no decision despite allowing just one run over five innings. He gave up five hits and a walk, while striking out seven.

San Francisco’s Blake Snell was a winner after working five innings. He gave up a run on four hits and two walks, while punching out eight.

San Diego Padres’ Michael King also worked five innings. He allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits, two walks and a hit batter. King took the loss and struck out six.

Yankees’ Luis Gil took a no decision after allowing a run on five hits and two walks over five frames. He struck out five batters.

Cincinnati’s Brandon Williamson also worked five innings and took a no decision. He allowed three hits and two walks, while striking out five.

Oakland’s Joey Estes got a win after working 6 2/3 innings. He gave up three runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk, while striking out two. 

Seattle Mariners’ Bryan Woo earned a win after tossing 6 2/3 innings. He allowed two runs on two hits and a walk. Woo struck out five.

Philadelphia Phillies’ Zack Wheeler also earned a victory. He gave up two runs on three hits and three walks over six innings, while punching out nine.

Kansas City’s Cole Ragans worked six innings and struck out seven, but didn’t earn a decision. He allowed two runs on three hits and three walks.

Tampa Bay’s Shane Baz gave up two runs on three hits and a walk over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out four and didn’t earn a decision.

Top Relief Pitchers

Miami Marlins’ Xzavion Curry worked 4 2/3 scoreless innings out of the bullpen. He gave up two hits, while striking out three and walking none.

Arizona’s Jordan Montgomery worked three innings and got a save. He allowed two hits and a walk, but no runs. Montgomery did not record a strikeout.

Philadelphia’s Carlos Estevez, Mets’ Edwin Diaz, Pittsburgh’s Jalen Beeks, Dodgers’ Michael Kopech, St. Louis’ Ryan Helsley, Detroit’s Jason Foley, Seattle’s Andres Munoz, Minnesota’s Jhoan Duran, Cleveland’s Emmanuel Clase and Oakland’s Mason Miller also earned saves.

Estevez allowed a hit, but still faced three batters in his inning of work.

Diaz faced just one batter to record his save.

Beeks also got just one out. He allowed a hit before getting the final out.

Kopech gave up a run on three walks. He also had a strikeout.

Helsley faced three batters in his inning, striking out one of them.

Foley walked a batter, but struck out two in his scoreless inning.

Munoz struck out two of the three batters he faced in his save.

Duran also struck out two over his inning. He gave up a run on three hits.

Clase struck out two in his inning. He gave up a hit.

Miller worked a 1-2-3 inning, surprisingly with no strikeouts.
