Dodgers
The two Los Angeles saves over the past week each went to Tanner Scott. He's the clear closer in LA right now, and with how much winning the Dodgers do, that makes Scott a good fantasy asset.
Alex Vesia and Kyle Hurt are the top setup men for now. Edwin Diaz is still expected to be out a while, so expect those three to keep holding things down at the end of close wins.
Brewers
Three different Milwaukee relievers earned saves over the past six days.
Closer Trevor Megill pitched three times. He earned a hold back on Saturday, then got a win on Monday before claiming a save on Tuesday.
Joel Kuhnel got a save on Wednesday, when the Brewers' bullpen was down its top-three arms. Kuhnel also earned a save on Monday in an extra-inning game.
Chad Patrick got a save on Sunday, but that was a multi-inning relief appearance. Patrick got a win on Wednesday.
Abner Uribe and Aaron Ashby are the top setup men in front of Megill, who has a firm grasp of the closer role. It was a weird week, but things belong to Megill for now.
Braves
Raisel Iglesias earned a save on Friday, but then took a loss on Tuesday. He's the clear closer in Atlanta, especially with Robert Suarez injured.
Dylan Lee is the top setup man in front of Iglesias now. Suarez is usually the one working in the eighth innings of leads otherwise.
Phillies
Closer Jhoan Duran only got one save over the past six days. He got it on Wednesday, after not earning decisions on Saturday or Sunday. Duran is a good/great fantasy asset now that Philly is winning a lot.
With Brad Keller out with an injury, Orion Kerkering and Jose Alvarado are the top setup men for the Phillies. The closer role is clearly Duran's though.
Cardinals
Closer Riley O'Brien had a save on Monday across two total appearances over the past six days. He's been a good fantasy asset this season, and I expect that to continue, as long as St. Louis keeps winning enough.
George Soriano and JoJo Romero are the top setup men, and Ryne Stanek is also a pretty trusted guy. Unless O'Brien is hurt though, he looks to have the closer role locked up right now.
Cubs
With Daniel Palencia on the injured list, along with several other pitchers, no Chicago reliever earned a save over the past six days.
Jacob Webb got a crack at a save, but blew the lead and took a loss instead. He didn't earn a decision on Wednesday.
Caleb Thielbar and Phil Maton are the top setup men ahead of Webb. Hoby Milner, Ryan Rolison, Trent Thornton and Gavin Hollowell are other relievers who earned holds over the past week.
Webb looks like the best option for saves for now, but it's something to monitor closely until Palencia is back in the mix.
Padres
Mason Miller had a stellar week. Over three appearances, he earned saves on Saturday and Monday before claiming a win on Tuesday. Miller is the top fantasy reliever in the game, and is a high-end fantasy asset as a result.
Adrian Morejon and Jason Adam are the top setup men for Miller. Morejon earned a hold and a win over the past six days, while Adam got a save on Wednesday with Miller down after working the previous two days.
Marlins
Pete Fairbanks had a great week, and is on the rise as a fantasy asset as a result for the red-hot Marlins. Fairbanks earned saves on Friday, Saturday and Wednesday across four appearances. He's a good deep-league fantasy asset, and could be a standard league option when in grooves like he is now.
Lake Bachar earned a save on Sunday after Fairbanks had worked the previous couple days. Calvin Faucher, Anthony Bender, John King, Cade Gibson and Michael Petersen are other relievers with holds or wins over the past six days.
When Fairbanks is healthy and available, he'll get every save chance. With Miami winning more of late, it makes the “others” in the bullpen deep-league fantasy assets.
Diamondbacks
Closer Paul Sewald pitched twice over the past six days, but didn't earn decisions in either contest. He's the go-to closer, but Arizona isn't winning enough close games of late to support him as a fantasy asset.
Kevin Ginkel and Jonathan Loaisiga are the top setup men in Arizona right now. Ryan Thompson and Brandyn Garcia are other relievers with positive results over the past week. Garcia earned two holds and got the team's only save (on Tuesday).
Keep tabs on things, but I think Sewald still has a firm grasp of the closer role.
Nationals
Clayton Beeter was trending up after saves on Saturday and Monday, but he's trending down now after blowing a save on Tuesday. He appears to be the clear No. 1 option for saves at least.
Gus Varland and Orlando Ribalta are some setup men, while Richard Lovelady, Brad Lord, PJ Poulin and Mitchell Parker have all factored into things over the past six days.
Ribalta, Lovelady and Lord all have a loss and blown save over that timeframe, which is why I'm confident in Beeter the most out of the Nationals' pen. Keep tabs on things until someone is really settled into the closer role for Washington.
Pirates
The only save across the past six days went to Carmen Mlodzinski in a multi-inning effort. Closer Gregory Soto pitched just once on Sunday, and didn't earn a decision.
Dennis Santana and Yohan Ramirez are the top setup men for now. Each has some deep-league fantasy value, but it appears that Soto is the best fantasy reliever in Pittsburgh right now. The team needs to win more to make Soto more than a deep-league option.
Reds
The only save the Reds got over the past six days went to Tony Santillan on Sunday. He took a loss in an extra-inning game on Monday. Santillan appears to be the closer in Cincy while Emilio Pagan is out injured.
Tejay Antone and Brock Burke are some of the top setup men, while Sam Moll and Caleb Ferguson earned a hold each of late.
Every Cincy reliever is just a deep-league fantasy asset because of the lack of winning the team does.
Mets
No New York reliever had a save over the past six days. Closer Devin Williams pitched just once, not earning a decision on Wednesday.
Luke Weaver and Brooks Raley are his top setup men for now. Both have some deep-league fantasy value, but only because they have lower earned run averages, not because of the team's winning.
Giants
Caleb Kilian got the only save for San Francisco over the past six days. He got it in his lone appearance on Tuesday.
Ryan Walker and Erik Miller appear to be the top setup men for now. Things aren't set in stone, so be watching things closely with the Giants. The team likely won't win enough to support even a go-to closer outside of deeper leagues.
Rockies
One of two saves in Colorado over the past six days went to Jimmy Herget. The other went to Jaden Hill, who is now on the 15-day injured list.
Antonio Senzatela has been functioning as the closer, and earned two wins over the past six days. Herget had a hold before his save. Victor Vodnik got a win and Brennan Bernardino had a hold.
Things are a mess in Colorado, and the team likely won't win enough to support even a go-to closer anyways. Keep tabs on things, but I like Senzatela the best for now.
