Top Hitters
Houston Astros’ Jon Singleton and Yainer Diaz, Seattle Mariners’ Victor Robles and Miami’s Jake Burger all had three hits on Thursday.
Singleton had a single and two doubles for his hits. He drove in a run and scored two times.
Robles had three singles on the day. He also walked, stole two bases and scored a run.
Burger had three singles as well. He also struck out once.
Diaz had three singles too. He went on to score a run.
Singleton and St. Louis’ Masyn Winn and Thomas Saggese were the only players to score two runs.

Detroit Tigers’ Spencer Torkelson had a single, double and walk on his way to two RBIs. He also struck out once.
Boston Red Sox’s Connor Wong had a double and two walks on the day.
Cleveland Guardians’ Steven Kwan walked twice and also singled.
New York Yankees’ Anthony Rizzo walked and was hit by a pitch.
St. Louis’ Lars Nootbaar had a single, double and sacrifice fly. He drove in a run and scored once.
Tampa Bay Rays’ Yandy Diaz had a single, double and walk.
Tampa Bay’s Jose Caballero had a single, double and walk as well. He drove in a run, scored once and also stole a base.
Top Starting Pitchers
Milwaukee Brewers’ Frankie Montas earned a win after working six scoreless innings on Thursday. He allowed two hits and two walks, while striking out eight batters.
Washington Nationals’ Mitchell Parker tossed 6 1/3 innings and gave up two unearned runs. He allowed three hits and hit a batter, while striking out five.
San Francisco Giants’ Hayden Birdsong took a no decision after working five scoreless frames. He allowed two hits, a walk and a hit batter, but struck out four.
Houston’s Framber Valdez gave up a run on five hits and a walk over 6 1/3 innings. He took a no decision and struck out six batters.
St. Louis’ Sonny Gray was a winner after allowing a run on two hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out nine.
Detroit’s Tarik Skubal took a no decision despite striking out six over six strong innings. He allowed a run on four hits and no walks.
Seattle’s Bryce Miller also left with a no decision after allowing a run on five hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out seven.
Boston’s Cooper Criswell worked 5 1/3 innings and left with a no decision. He gave up a run on four hits and three walks, while striking out four.
Cincinnati Reds’ Jakob Junis tossed five innings and also didn’t get a decision. He allowed a run on three hits, while striking out three and walking none.
New York Yankees’ Nestor Cortes struck out nine over five innings, but didn’t get a decision. He gave up a run on three hits and three walks.
Oakland Athletics’ Mitch Spence worked seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, while striking out two and walking none.
Colorado Rockies’ Ryan Feltner took a no decision after allowing two runs on three hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings. He punched out six.
Top Relief Pitchers
Tampa Bay’s Cole Sulser earned a win after working three scoreless innings. He didn’t allow a hit or walk, while striking out four.
Miami’s Jesus Tinoco earned a two-inning save. He didn’t allow a hit or walk, while punching out two.
Milwaukee’s Trevor Megill struck out the side and earned a hold in a 1-2-3 inning.
Texas’ Kirby Yates, Milwaukee’s Devin Williams, Colorado’s Tyler Kinley, Tampa Bay’s Richard Lovelady and St. Louis’ JoJo Romero all earned saves.
Yates allowed a hit in his inning, but struck out two to work out of trouble.
Williams allowed two hits, but also struck out two in his scoreless frame.
Kinley worked around a hit and a walk in his inning, while punching out a pair.
Lovelady didn’t record a strikeout in his 1-2-3 inning.
Romero worked 1 1/3 innings for his save. He gave up two hits, while failing to record a strikeout.
