Most Hits
Chicago White Sox' Mike Tauchman and Colorado's Tyler Freeman each had 11 hits over the timeframe we are using.
Tauchman had 10 singles and a double for his hits, along with two runs scored, four RBIs, two walks and six strikeouts. He's only rostered in 5% of fantasy leagues synced here at FantasySP, and is a sneaky good deep-league option right now.
Freeman had eight singles and three doubles for his hits. He had two runs scored and walks, an RBI, three stolen bases and just one strikeout. He's owned in just 26% of leagues and is another really good deep-league option right now.
Houston's Jose Altuve, San Francisco's Willy Adames, Kansas City's Bobby Witt Jr. and Chicago Cubs' Michael Busch all had 10 hits last week.
Altuve had four singles, three homers, two doubles and a triple for his hits. He also had eight runs scored, 10 RBIs, three walks and two strikeouts. Altuve is owned in all fantasy leagues of course, and he's showing that he's still capable of being a top-end fantasy hitter.
Adames had six singles, three doubles and a homer for his hits. He also had eight RBIs, five runs scored, four walks and five strikeouts. Adames is up to 75% owned, after being near 70% on July 6. Add Adames if you think he's finally going to get rolling at the plate - he's been a draft bust to this point of the season.
Witt had eight singles and two bombs for his hits over the timeframe we are using. He had eight runs scored, seven RBIs, two walks and stolen bases and seven strikeouts as well. Witt is a top-end fantasy hitter, and showed that over the past week.
Busch had four homers and singles and two doubles for his hits, along with six RBIs and runs scored, a walk and eight strikeouts. Busch is on the rise again and is rostered in 87% of leagues now. It's a time to sell high (mostly in deeper leagues) if you don't believe in Busch maintaining his current season-long numbers for the whole season.
Most Runs Scored
Altuve and Witt led the league with their eight runs scored over the timeframe we are using. Boston's Trevor Story, Toronto's George Springer and Houston's Jake Meyers all scored seven runs.
Story had nine hits, including two homers and a double, along with six RBIs, a stolen base, no walks and two strikeouts. Story is up to 72% rostered, after being at 44% on July 4. He's capable of being a top-end fantasy hitter, and is in the midst of a hot streak now, so utilize him before he cools off.
Springer had nine hits over the timeframe we are using - three of those were home runs. He also had six RBIs, two walks, a stolen base and four strikeouts during that stretch. Springer is up to 96% after a couple-week stretch of really hot hitting. It's a great time to sell high on Springer, especially in deeper leagues, but he probably is valuable enough to also trade in standard leagues.
Meyers had seven knocks in just five games - he had two doubles and a triple among the hits. He also had two walks, but no RBIs and five strikeouts. Meyers is dealing with a calf injury now, but is worth keeping in mind for when he's back to full health. He's at 23% owned for now.
Most RBIs
Toronto's Addison Barger led the league with 11 RBIs over the timeframe we are using.
Barger had eight hits, including two doubles and three home runs. He also had three runs scored, two walks, a stolen base and four strikeouts. Barger is up to 59% rostered - he's a good deep-league asset, and is a standard league streamer while he's hot at the plate.
Altuve was second in RBIs, and New York Mets' Brandon Nimmo, Kansas City's Vinnie Pasquantino and Detroit's Riley Greene had nine RBIs each.
Nimmo had three homers and a double among his six hits. He had five runs scored, a walk, two stolen bases and six strikeouts as well. Nimmo is owned in 93% of leagues, and is a good sell-high trade candidate after his recent hot stretch - he'll be more tradeable in deeper leagues, but maybe could be swapped in standard leagues too.
Pasquantino had three homers and two doubles among his eight hits. He also posted three runs scored, a walk and five strikeouts over this recent stretch. Pasquantino is at 93% owned. He's enjoying a career season, and depending on how you view him for the rest of the season, he's either a sell-high candidate, or a player to enjoy on your fantasy roster.
Greene had just four hits over the timeframe we are using, but three of them were homers. He scored three runs, walked three times and struck out a whopping 14 times. Greene is owned in nearly every fantasy league and has been a good fantasy asset this season. Those strikeouts can be annoying though, and you might be able to swap him out for a bit more consistent performer who avoids negative points more often.
