Updated Top-10 Dynasty Baseball Outfielder Rankings: Where do James Wood and Pete Crow-Armstrong Sit After their Stellar Starts to the Season?
Morgan re-ranks his top-10 dynasty outfielders near the start of July.
Let's wrap up re-ranking dynasty baseball position players by looking at outfielders.
We looked at catchers, first basemen, second basemen, shortstops and third basemen previously. Here's the dynasty rankings I did for outfielders before the season began.

1. Corbin Carroll (Preseason Ranking: 2)
Carroll moves up a spot and takes over the No. 1 dynasty spot in my outfielder re-rank.
He was enjoying a nice bounceback season before landing on the injured list. As long as Carroll can stay on the field over his career, I think he's got the best dynasty outlook of any outfielder.
2. Juan Soto (Preseason Ranking: 1)
Soto falls back a spot to No. 2.
He's had a fine fantasy season, even after starting slow. Soto drops a spot because of a weaker average and OBP than past seasons, and because he's nearing 27 years old.
3. Fernando Tatis Jr. (Preseason Ranking: 5)
Tatis pops up a couple spots in my re-rank, despite several outfielders (younger ones too) outperforming him so far.
Tatis is 26 years old as well. I like his approach at the plate this season, and a lower strikeout rate means I'm raising him a couple spots despite his average being a bit worse.
4. Ronald Acuna Jr. (Preseason Ranking: 6)
Acuna moves up a couple spots as well.
The 27-year-old has shown he can still be elite after another major injury, but that doesn't mean his injury woes aren't still on dynasty owner's minds. Acuna still has some monster seasons in him, I think, and he might have not even hit his peak yet.
5. James Wood (Preseason Ranking: HM)
Wood is the big riser in this story, going from an honorable mention to ranked fifth.
Wood has been a fantasy monster this season, and ranks fifth overall in points leagues so far. If he continues to deliver big numbers the rest of the season, he will keep climbing up my rankings.
6. Jackson Chourio (Preseason Ranking: 4)
Chourio drops a couple spots in my re-rank.
He's regressed a bit from his rookie season, but is on pace to top his numbers in most stats. Chourio needs to show more patience at the plate, and then the 21-year-old could move back up the rankings again.
7. Kyle Tucker (Preseason Ranking: 9)
Tucker gets bumped up a couple spots because of how he's looked this season.
There's no doubting his skill, but him being 28 years old makes him the oldest outfielder on my list so far. His landing spot after the season could help him move up even further yet.
8. Aaron Judge (Preseason Ranking: 10)
Judge moves up a couple spots as well.
The 33-year-old is an elite fantasy talent - he's ranked this low because he's 33 years old. Really, Judge has no business being in the top 10, so to have him here is really a big-time compliment. Only roster him on dynasty teams that are competing for titles, not rebuilding squads.
9. Jackson Merrill (Preseason Ranking: 7)
Merrill slips a couple spots in my rankings.
He's put up solid numbers when on the field this season, but he's only played in 54 games. I still have extremely high hopes for Merrill, but he needs to stay healthy in order to move back up my rankings.
10. Pete Crow-Armstrong (Preseason Ranking: NM)
Crow-Armstrong snags the final spot in the top 10 because of what he's done this season.
Some are going to want him ranked higher, but I need to see this level of production all season. PCA had pretty weak numbers in 2024, so I'm not sure if this production can stick. If he ends the season strong, he'll move up several spots.
Honorable Mentions
Julio Rodriguez and Yordan Alvarez were ranked third and eighth, respectively, in my preseason dynasty article, but are outside the top 10 now.
Rodriguez has regressed for a second straight season in many stats. He's just 24 years old, but he needs to pick it up in order to get back inside my top 10.
Alvarez got off to a slow start and hasn't played since early May because of a hand injury. Injuries have affected Alvarez in a few seasons, and it's definitely an issue now. The 28-year-old might have a hard time re-joining my top 10 again.
Wyatt Langford, Riley Greene, Andy Pages, Roman Anthony, Oneil Cruz, Dylan Crews, Jarren Duran, Lawrence Butler, Seiya Suzuki, Jasson Dominguez and Heliot Ramos are some other active MLB outfielders who are pretty solid dynasty assets right now.
Max Clark, Walker Jenkins, Josue De Paula, Lazaro Montes, Braden Montgomery, Chase DeLauter, Zyhir Hope, Owen Caissie, Emmanuel Rodriguez, Justin Crawford, Jonny Farmelo, Theo Gillen, Jaison Chourio, Carson Benge, Slade Caldwell, Ryan Waldschmidt, Kevin Alcantara, Eduardo Quintero and Jhostynxon Garcia are top-100 prospects to keep an eye on.
Michael Harris II, Steven Kwan, Jung Hoo Lee, Wilyer Abreu and Colton Cowser are some other major leaguers who are fairly young and still have plenty of dynasty value.
