After looking at some waiver wire hitters and pitchers to target at the start of a new fantasy baseball week, let's now identify some waiver options based on weekly projections here at FantasySP

We'll only cover hitters, as FSP's Daniel Hepner goes over starting pitcher streamers each day.

Catchers

Washington's Keibert Ruiz is not only the top-projected fantasy catcher for the upcoming week, but he's also available in about 20% of leagues.

He could play up to seven games this week, and has a .373 average and .439 on-base percentage in the early going. Ruiz has two doubles and homers among his 19 total hits, along with 10 RBIs, four walks and strikeouts and nine runs scored.

Philadelphia's J.T. Realmuto is projected for the third-most fantasy points among catchers, and has seven games he could play in too.

Realmuto has a .238 average, but .319 OBP across 12 games and 47 plate appearances so far. He's got a double and triple among his 10 hits, along with three RBIs, four stolen bases, five walks, two runs scored and 11 strikeouts.

Chicago Cubs' Carson Kelly (32% rostered) and Pittsburgh's Joey Bart (15%) are the next waiver wire options on the projection list. Kelly has six games he could play in, while Bart could play up to seven.

Houston's Yainer Diaz (89%) has become a waiver wire option after a very cold start at the plate. He has six games he could play in this week, and was one of the top fantasy catchers coming into the season - I'd jump at this opportunity if he's available in your league.

First Basemen

San Francisco's Wilmer Flores is the top-projected fantasy first baseman who is also available in a decent amount of leagues.

He's rostered in 57% of leagues and has seven games on tap this week. Flores has a .255 average and .281 OBP across 15 games and 57 plate appearances. He's posted six homers among his 14 total hits, along with 19 RBIs, a walk, eight runs scored and 10 strikeouts.

Tampa Bay's Jonathan Aranda is available in over 75% of leagues and has good projections for the week. He could play up to seven games. I covered him a bit more in the waiver wire hitter story.

Washington's Josh Bell (10%) and Nathaniel Lowe (63%) and Tampa Bay's Yandy Diaz (78%) are all projected for the same amount of fantasy points this week. All three first basemen have seven games scheduled.

Second Basemen

Los Angeles Angels' Kyren Paris is atop the projection list for second basemen. He has six games he could play in this week and is available in about 15% of leagues.

Across 14 games and 46 plate appearances so far, Paris has a .368 average and .467 OBP. He's homered five times and doubled and tripled once each among his 14 total hits. Paris also has eight RBIs, five stolen bases and walks, 13 runs scored and 10 strikeouts so far.

Washington's Luis Garcia Jr. is owned in 70% of leagues and has the third-highest projection at the position. He could play up to seven games.

In 13 games and 50 plate appearances so far, Garcia has a .208 average and .220 OBP, so the projections like his matchups against the Pirates and Rockies. Garcia also has two doubles and a homer among his 10 total knocks, along with five RBIs, two stolen bases, a walk, six runs scored and seven strikeouts.

Tampa Bay's Brandon Lowe is rostered in 67% of fantasy leagues and has the next-most projected points among second basemen. He's got seven games scheduled this week.

Lowe has a .264 average and .286 OBP across 13 games and 56 plate appearances so far. He's popped three homers among his 14 total knocks, along with tallying nine RBIs, two walks, five runs scored and 11 strikeouts.

Detroit's Gleyber Torres (84%), Chicago White Sox' Chase Meidroth (7%) and Kansas City's Jonathan India (67%) also have good projections for the upcoming week.

Shortstops

Most of the top-projected shortstops are already owned in all fantasy leagues.

Miami's Xavier Edwards is owned in 80% of leagues and has good weekly projections. He's got six games this coming week.

Edwards has a .310 average and .406 OBP so far, so he's a good fantasy asset even without looking at the projections. He has three doubles among his 18 total knocks, along with five RBIs, six stolen bases, 10 walks and runs scored and 15 strikeouts.

Chicago Cubs' Dansby Swanson is available in about 10% of leagues and has good projections for the week. He could play in up to six games.

Arizona's Geraldo Perdomo is owned in 61% of leagues and has good projections for the week. I covered him Monday's waiver wire hitter story. Perdomo can play up to six games this week.

Third Basemen

It's a similar story at third base, where most of the highly-projected players are already rostered in all fantasy leagues.

Arizona's Eugenio Suarez is available in about 10% of leagues and has good weekly projections. He's got six games scheduled for the coming week.

Philadelphia's Alec Bohm has started the season slow, but has seven games on tap and is available to just under 15% of you.

New York Mets' Mark Vientos is rostered in 73% of leagues and has good projections across seven games.

Vientos has just a .130 average and .254 OBP so far, but has favorable matchups this week against the Twins and Cardinals. Vientos has three doubles among his seven total hits so far, along with three RBIs, nine walks, three runs scored and 12 strikeouts.

Outfielders

San Francisco's Jung Hoo Lee is the top-projected fantasy outfielder for week 4 of the season. He's available in about 11% of leagues and could play up to seven times this week.

Lee is someone I covered in the waiver wire story and FantasySP Expert Picks' debut article. He's got a .352 average and .426 OBP, along with 11 RBIs, seven walks, three stolen bases, 16 runs scored and eight strikeouts. Lee has eight doubles, three home runs and a triple among his 19 total knocks this season.

Washington's Alex Call is only owned in 9% of leagues, but is a top-10 projected outfielder for this week. He's got seven games on tap.

In 10 games and 42 plate appearances so far this season, Call has a .367 average, .500 OBP, seven RBIs, a stolen base, 10 walks, six runs scored and just two punchouts. He has two doubles and a triple among his 11 total knocks.

Tampa Bay's Jake Mangum is owned in 16% of leagues, but is projected for another big week. He has seven games scheduled.

Mangum has cooled after his hot start, but still owned a .286 average and .302 OBP. He has two doubles among his 12 total knocks, along with four RBIs, six stolen bases, a walk, four runs scored and six strikeouts. He plays the Red Sox and Yankees this coming week.

Minnesota's Byron Buxton has six games he could play in, and is only owned in 44% of leagues. Detroit's Kerry Carpenter is also projected for a big week, and is available in just over 25% of leagues - he has seven games scheduled.

St. Louis' Alec Burleson is projected for a nice week, and is available in just under half of fantasy leagues - he's got seven games this week. Teammate Lars Nootbaar is available in just over 25% of leagues and projected for the same amount of fantasy points.

Cincinnati's TJ Friedl has six games scheduled this week against the Mariners and Orioles, and he's projected to perform well. He is only rostered in 36% of leagues.
