Fantasy Baseball Week 6 Projections and Waiver Wire Hitting Options

Looking at week 6 fantasy baseball projections to identify some possible streaming options.

A new week of fantasy baseball is here, so it's time to look at weekly projections and identify some possible waiver wire targets for you.

We'll only cover hitters, as FSP's Daniel Hepner goes over starting pitcher streamers each day.

Catchers

Newly called up Agustin Ramirez has the highest fantasy projections among catchers. The Miami catcher is projected for 35 fantasy points across six games, and is currently owned in 45% of leagues.

In his first five games and 21 plate appearances, Ramirez has nine total hits, including four doubles and three home runs. He also has five RBIs, a stolen base, four runs scored and two walks and strikeouts.

Washington's Keibert Ruiz is set for 23 fantasy points across seven possible games. He's rostered in 76% of fantasy leagues.

In 25 games and 99 plate appearances so far, Ruiz has a .297 average and .354 on-base percentage. He has six extra-base hits among his 27 total knocks, along with 13 RBIs, six walks, 10 runs scored and just nine strikeouts.

Colorado's Hunter Goodman is projected for 21 fantasy points this coming week. He has seven games he could play in, and is owned in just 37% of fantasy leagues.

Goodman has a .256 average and .354 OBP across 25 games and 99 plate appearances. He has nine extra-base hits among his 22 total hits, and also has racked up 11 RBIs, 10 walks, 14 runs scored and 22 strikeouts.

Chicago Cubs' Carson Kelly (58% rostered), Chicago White Sox's Edgar Quero (5%) and Minnesota's Ryan Jeffers (16%) are all projected for 20 fantasy points this week. Jeffers could play up to seven games, while Kelly and Quero have six games on the schedule.

First Baseman

Kansas City's Vinnie Pasquantino is set for 23 fantasy points this coming week. He has six games scheduled and is rostered in 79% of leagues.

Pasquantino has a .181 average and .250 OBP across 28 games and 116 plate appearances so far. He also has seven extra-base hits among his 19 total hits. Pasquantino has 16 RBIs, nine walks, eight runs scored and 23 punchouts.

San Francisco's Wilmer Flores and Cleveland's Carlos Santana are each projected for 22 fantasy points. Flores has six games scheduled and is owned in 64% of leagues, while Santana could play up to seven games and is rostered in just 18% of leagues.

Flores has played in 29 games and gotten 109 plate appearances so far this season. He has a .248 average and .303 OBP, along with 28 RBIs, a stolen base, seven walks, 13 runs scored and 20 strikeouts. Flores has seven homers among his 25 total knocks.

Santana has a .206 average and .288 OBP across 26 games and 111 plate appearances. He's collected four extra-base hits across his 20 total hits, while also posting seven RBIs, a stolen base, 10 walks, 11 runs scored and 21 strikeouts.

Washington's Josh Bell (8%) and Nathaniel Lowe (58%), St. Louis' Alec Burleson (39%), Texas' Jake Burger (65%), Arizona's Pavin Smith (49%) and Cleveland's Kyle Manzardo (44%) are all projected for 21 fantasy points this week. Smith is the only one in that group to have only six games this week.

Tampa Bay's Jonathan Aranda (66%) and Yandy Diaz (78%), Colorado's Michael Toglia (24%) and Minnesota's Ty France (9%) are all set for 20 fantasy points. Toglia and France are the only players in that group with seven games scheduled this week.

Second Basemen

Detroit's Gleyber Torres is owned in 77% of fantasy leagues and is projected for 27 fantasy points. He could play up to seven games this week.

Torres has a .281 average and .338 OBP across 16 games and 71 plate appearances. He's added four extra-base hits among his 18 total knocks, and also has 11 RBIs, three stolen bases, 10 runs scored and six walks and strikeouts.

Washington's Luis Garcia Jr. is projected for 24 fantasy points across seven games. He's owned in 60% of fantasy leagues.

Garcia has a .247 average and .296 OBP across 25 games and 98 plate appearances this season. He's got 22 hits in total, including four doubles and a home run. Garcia has seven RBIs, three stolen bases, 13 runs scored, seven walks and 10 strikeouts.

Arizona's Tim Tawa is projected for 23 fantasy points and is only owned in about 8% of leagues right now. He's very undervalued at this point, and people need to know about him. Tawa could play up to six games.

New York Mets' Jeff McNeil is only owned in about 6% of leagues. He's projected for 22 fantasy points across seven games.

Milwaukee's Caleb Durbin (18%), San Francisco's Tyler Fitzgerald (52%) and Cincinnati's Matt McLain (88%) are projected for 21 fantasy points. McLain has seven games this week, while Durbin and Fitzgerald could play in up to six.

Shortstops

Minnesota's Carlos Correa is projected for 24 fantasy points across seven games. He's owned in 45% of fantasy leagues.

Correa has a .211 average and .262 OBP across 27 games and 103 plate appearances so far this season. He's got eight extra-base hits across 20 total knocks, along with eight RBIs, seven walks, nine runs scored and 17 punchouts.

Miami's Xavier Edwards has six games this week and is projected for 24 fantasy points as well. He's rostered in 76% of leagues.

In 27 games and 126 plate appearances so far, Edwards has a .270 average and .344 OBP. He has collected three extra-base hits among his 30 total knocks. Edwards also has nine RBIs, six stolen bases, 12 walks and runs scored and 22 strikeouts.

San Fran's Willy Adames (88%) and LA Angels' Zach Neto (65%) are projected for 23 points each across six games. Arizona's Geraldo Perdomo (76%) and Tampa Bay's Chandler Simpson (55%) are set for 22 fantasy points across six games.

Chicago Cubs' Dansby Swanson (76%), New York Yankees' Anthony Volpe (78%) and Houston's Jeremy Pena (76%) are all set for 20 fantasy points this week. Each shortstop could play up to six games.

Third Basemen

New York Mets' Mark Vientos is projected for 23 fantasy points across seven games. He is currently rostered in 66% of leagues.

Vientos has just a .207 average and .282 OBP across 25 games and 103 plate appearances so far. He's got eight extra-base hits, 19 total knocks, 11 RBIs, 10 walks, nine runs scored and 21 strikeouts.

Arizona's Eugenio Suarez is projected for 22 fantasy points over six games. He's owned in 79% of leagues.

He's hitting .206 and getting on base at a .313 clip, but also has 10 homers, 14 total extra-base hits and 20 total hits on the season. Across 28 games and 112 plate appearances, Suarez also has 20 RBIs, a stolen base, 12 walks, 18 runs scored and 31 punchouts.

Kansas City's Jonathan India (49%) and Texas' Josh Smith (28%) are each projected for 20 fantasy points this week. India has six games, while Smith could play up to seven.

Outfielders

Minnesota's Byron Buxton is set for 29 fantasy points across seven games this week. He's currently owned in 64% of leagues.

In 25 games and 104 plate appearances, Buxton has a .237 average and .269 OBP. He also has 12 extra-base hits among his 23 total knocks, along with 15 RBIs, six stolen bases, three walks, 22 runs scored and 36 punchouts.

Washington's Alex Call is projected for 26 fantasy points across seven games. He's owned in just 4% of leagues.

Call is still red hot at the plate, sitting with a .327 OBP and .429 OBP across 19 games and 64 plate appearances this season. He's got four extra-base hits among his 16 total knocks, along with nine RBIs, one stolen base, eight runs scored, 11 walks and just four strikeouts.

Colorado's Brenton Doyle (82%) is projected for 25 fantasy points across seven games. Cincinnati's TJ Friedl (46%) can play up to seven games and is set for 24 points.

Athletics' JJ Bleday (36%) and Washington's Dylan Crews (70%) are both set for 22 fantasy points across seven games this week. Detroit's Zach McKinstry (60%) is projected for 21 points across seven contests.

San Fran's Mike Yastrzemski (29%), Cincinnati's Jake Fraley (4%) and Milwaukee's Sal Frelick (59%) are all projected for 20 fantasy points this week. Fraley has seven games on tap, while Yas and Frelick have six each.
