Fantasy Baseball Week 7 Projections and Waiver Wire Hitting Options

Looking at week 7 fantasy baseball projections to identify some possible streaming options.

The first full week of May has arrived. It's the start of the seventh week of the fantasy baseball season, which means it's time to look over some projections to identify some waiver wire options.

We'll only cover hitters, as FSP's Daniel Hepner goes over starting pitcher streamers each day.

Catchers

Miami's Agustin Ramirez and Chicago White Sox' Edgar Quero are both projected for 24 fantasy points this week.

Ramirez is owned in 50% of fantasy leagues and has six games this week. Quero has seven games he could play in and is rostered in just 4% of leagues.

Across 11 games and 45 plate appearances, Ramirez has a .233 average and .267 on-base percentage. He has three homers and five doubles among his 10 hits, along with five RBIs, a stolen base, two walks, five runs scored and seven strikeouts.

Quero has a .340 average and .446 OBP across 16 games and 56 plate appearances. He's posted three doubles among his 16 total hits, along with eight RBIs, seven walks, six runs scored and just five strikeouts.

Chicago Cubs' Carson Kelly is owned in 66% of leagues and is projected for 23 fantasy points. He has six games he could play in this week.

Cincinnati's Tyler Stephenson, fresh off the injured list, is owned in 43% of leagues and is set for 22 fantasy points. He has seven games he could play in this week.

Houston's Yainer Diaz is all the way down to 82% rostered. He's projected for 20 points and has six games he could play in. 

Washington's Keibert Ruiz (67% rostered) and Arizona's Gabriel Moreno (38%) are projected for 20 fantasy points. Ruiz has six games, while Moreno could play up to seven.

First Basemen

Kansas City's Vinnie Pasquantino is projected for 25 fantasy points. He is owned in 80% of leagues and could play in seven games this week.

Pasquantino has just a .197 average and .252 OBP this season, but has matchups against the White Sox and Red Sox this week. Pasquantino has six homers, five doubles and a triple among his 26 total hits, along with 22 RBIs, nine walks, 12 runs scored and 26 strikeouts.

Arizona's Pavin Smith is projected for 22 fantasy points. He's got seven games this week as well, and is owned in 34% of leagues.

Smith has a .313 average and .450 OBP across 31 games and 100 plate appearances so far. He has nine doubles and four homers among his 25 hits, and has walked 20 times. Smith also has nine RBIs, a stolen base, 17 runs scored and 30 strikeouts.

LA Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez (5%), LA Angels' Nolan Schanuel (15%), Tampa Bay's Yandy Diaz (79%), Chicago White Sox' Andrew Vaughn (14%) and Washington's Nathaniel Lowe (54%) and Josh Bell (7%) are all projected for 20 fantasy points. Hernandez and Vaughn are the only 1B in that group with seven games this week.

Second Basemen

Chicago White Sox' Chase Meidroth is owned in just 7% of leagues, but is projected for 24 fantasy points this week. He could play up to seven games.

In 13 games and 49 plate appearances so far, the rookie infielder has a .275 average and .408 OBP. Meidroth has a double among his 11 total hits, along with two RBIs and stolen bases, nine walks and runs scored and just six punchouts.

Detroit's Gleyber Torres is set for 23 fantasy points across six games. He's owned in 82% of leagues.

Torres has a .291 average and .361 OBP across 22 games and 97 plate appearances so far. He also has four homers and three doubles among his 25 total knocks, along with 15 RBIs, four stolen bases, eight walks, 13 runs scored and nine strikeouts.

Washington's Luis Garcia Jr. is projected for 22 fantasy points. He's owned in 66% of leagues and could play up to six games this week.

Boston's Kristian Campbell is rostered in 89% of leagues and is set for 20 points across six games. Texas' Marcus Semien has the same amount of games and projected points, but is rostered in 90% of leagues.

Cincinnati's Santiago Espinal is projected for 20 points across seven games, and is only owned in 4% of leagues. Cincy's Matt McLain is another second baseman projected for 20 points - he's rostered in 85% of leagues.

Third Basemen

Arizona's Eugenio Suarez is owned in 87% of leagues and is projected for 25 points across seven contests.

Suarez is hitting .189 and has a .275 OBP across 34 games and 138 plate appearances. He has 10 homers and five doubles among his 23 total knocks, along with 21 RBIs, a stolen base, 12 walks, 20 runs scored and 38 strikeouts.

Kansas City's Maikel Garcia (83%) and Jonathan India (52%) are both projected for 22 fantasy points across seven games. Seattle's Jorge Polanco (90%), Houston's Isaac Paredes (90%) and LA Dodgers' Max Muncy (34%) are projected for 20 points each - Muncy has seven games, while Paredes and Polanco have six each.

Shortstops

Arizona's Geraldo Perdomo is projected for 26 fantasy points across seven games. He's available in about 13% of leagues.

He has a .292 average and .400 OBP across 34 games and 152 plate appearances so far. Perdomo has seven doubles and five homers among his 35 total hits. He also has 29 RBIs, nine stolen bases, 24 walks, 18 runs scored and 17 strikeouts.

Miami's Xavier Edwards (67%) and LA Angels' Zach Neto (66%) are projected for 24 fantasy points across six games each.

Chicago Cubs' Dansby Swanson (77%) and St. Louis' Masyn Winn (50%) are each projected for 22 points across six contests.

San Francisco's Willy Adames (87%), Houston's Jeremy Pena (79%) and San Diego's Xander Bogaerts (88%) are all projected for 21 points across six games. Minnesota's Carlos Correa is set for 20 points across six contests.

Outfielders

Minnesota's Byron Buxton is projected for 24 fantasy points across six games. He's owned in 70% of fantasy leagues.

Across 32 games and 136 plate appearances, Buxton has a .260 average and .294 OBP. He has seven homers, four doubles and two triples among his 33 total knocks. Buxton also has posted 18 RBIs, seven stolen bases, five walks, 24 strikeouts and a league-high 44 strikeouts.

Cincinnati's TJ Friedl (48%) and LA Dodgers' Andy Pages (60%) are set for 23 points across seven games each.

Friedl has a .271 average and .327 OBP across 32 games and 148 plate appearances this season. He also has six doubles, a triple and a home run across 36 total hits, along with 13 RBIs, seven stolen bases, 11 walks, 18 runs scored and 23 strikeouts.

Pages has a .269 average and .342 OBP across 31 games and 120 plate appearances. He's homered six times and doubled on four occasions. Pages has 29 total hits, 14 RBIs, three stolen bases, nine walks, 15 runs scored and 30 strikeouts.

Arizona's Jake McCarthy (10%) is projected for 22 fantasy points across seven games. Tampa Bay's Chandler Simpson (52%), Philadelphia's Nick Castellanos (87%) and LA Angels' Jorge Soler (43%) are each projected for 21 points across six contests.

Athletics' JJ Bleday (39%), Toronto's George Springer (81%), Miami's Dane Myers (5%) and Chicago White Sox' Luis Robert Jr. (79%) are all projected for 20 fantasy points this week. Robert is the only player among that group with seven games this week.
