Fantasy Football Running Back Rankings for Week 14: RJ Harvey, Woody Marks, Ashton Jeanty and More
Morgan gives his week 14 fantasy football rankings for running backs.
Let's continue our week 14 fantasy football rankings with a look at the running back position.
We looked at quarterbacks yesterday and will cover wide receivers and tight ends still this week, so check back for those articles.
Check out week 14 fantasy football projections for running backs on FantasySP as well.
I like Achane as the No. 1 PPR fantasy running back for week 14.
Why? He has a super favorable matchup against the Jets this week. He's already had a really strong season, and that should continue on Sunday.
2. Jahmyr Gibbs
Gibbs should put together a big game on Thursday night against the Cowboys.
It's an average matchup, but with Amon-Ra St. Brown at least banged up, Gibbs should be even more involved than usual.
Taylor has been great this season, so I can only drop him so far in the rankings.
He does have a tougher test against the Jaguars, so that's why he fell to No. 3.
Robinson is in a similar spot to Taylor in week 14.
He has a very tough test against the Seahawks, but Robinson is worth trying based on his huge upside and potential.
5. James Cook
Cook gets a top-five spot this week as he prepares for a super favorable matchup against the Bengals.
Cook could even finish higher than fifth if he scores a couple touchdowns.
6. Josh Jacobs
Jacobs returned and was solid in week 13, and now he should get more usage in week 14 against the Bears.
He has a slightly-below average matchup against Chicago, but with touchdown upside, I like Jacobs at No. 6.
7. Chase Brown
On the other half of the Bills, Bengals game is Brown.
He has a super favorable test against the Bills, so both running backs could run wild in that one.
8. Bucky Irving
Irving returned and immediately was the workhorse for the Bucs again.
So I'm firing him up as a top-10 option against the Saints in week 14, which is about as average of a matchup as a back could have.
Henry has been a steady fantasy asset over the past several weeks, so he's more trustworthy again.
His test against the Steelers is below average, but I see him being above average.
10. Breece Hall
Hall has a couple good fantasy outings in a row, and I see him as an above-average back in a week where four teams are on byes.
He has the Dolphins, who are another pretty average matchup.
11. Saquon Barkley
Barkley continues to flounder, but he's getting enough work to still trust as a fantasy asset.
A week 14 test against the Chargers is a below-average test, but I see Barkley doing enough to finish just outside the top 10.
12. Kyren Williams
Williams got dinged up in week 13, so his status will be one to watch.
His matchup against Arizona is above average, and I see Williams putting up a good fantasy total as a result.
13. Quinshon Judkins
Judkins has back-to-back solid fantasy showings, and I see another one coming in week 14.
Tennessee is an above-average matchup for him, and I think the game flow will allow the rookie back to shine.
14. Javonte Williams
Williams scored last week to post his best fantasy outing in the past four weeks.
He has a very tough Thursday night test against the Lions, but I think he will get enough work to put up an average-or-so fantasy score. If he finds the end zone, he could finish way above this ranking as well.
15. Ashton Jeanty
Jeanty got a lot of work, but didn't turn it into a big fantasy showing in week 13.
Denver is a tough challenge for him, but on volume alone, I have Jeanty reaching an average fantasy score.
16. RJ Harvey
Harvey is coming off a big fantasy showing, although two touchdown runs really aided that.
Las Vegas is a pretty favorable test for him, so he could make this ranking look foolish by the end of the week, especially if he scores a couple more times.
17. Jaylen Warren
Warren saved a down fantasy outing with a touchdown in week 13.
His week 14 test against the Ravens is above average, so I think he can finish as a top-20 fantasy back.
18. Kenneth Walker
Walker's fantasy score last week lacked, but he still produced 74 total yards on 16 touches, so those are still positive fantasy usage marks.
He has a very favorable matchup coming against the Falcons, so he could put together a big fantasy showing - if only he was a true workhorse back.
19. Aaron Jones Sr. or Jordan Mason
Jones got dinged up again in week 13, so his status needs to be monitored. If he's out this week, Mason would replace him in the rankings.
Washington is a super favorable matchup, so the top Minnesota back could really shine, especially with a score or two.
20. Omarion Hampton or Kimani Vidal
The top Chargers' back is also in question as Hampton looks to return from an injury. Vidal would be ranked 20th if he ends up starting again.
The Eagles are another favorable matchup, so whoever leads the way for the Chargers has a chance to be a top-20 fantasy back.
21. Travis Etienne
Etienne took a massive step backward as a fantasy asset in week 13, but I see him bouncing back a bit in week 14.
Indianapolis is a bit tougher challenge on paper, so that's why I'm down on Etienne.
22. D'Andre Swift
Swift has lost his lead role in the Chicago backfield, but he still delivered a great fantasy score in week 13.
His week 14 matchup against the Packers is not favorable, which is why he ranks so low this coming week.
23. Zach Charbonnet
The favorable matchup against the Falcons helps Charbonnet into the top-30 rankings as well.
He has decent touchdown upside, so if you are scrambling for another fantasy back, give Charbonnet a thought.
24. Devin Neal or Alvin Kamara
Whoever leads the New Orleans backfield has a great matchup coming against the Buccaneers.
I expect it to be Neal, who looked pretty solid in the lead role in week 13 while filling in for the injured Kamara.
25. Woody Marks
Marks is definitely the lead Texans' back now, but a tough matchup awaits.
The Chiefs are the sixth-toughest fantasy challenge for a back, so the Houston rookie gets docked to No. 25 as a result.
26. Chris Rodriguez
Rodriguez seems to be the lead back for the Commanders for the time being, so he ranks 26th for week 14.
Minnesota is a slightly below-average test, so we'll see if Rodriguez can deliver some good fantasy results on volume alone.
27. Kenneth Gainwell
Gainwell is the No. 2 Pittsburgh back, and I'm willing to try him at No. 27 in a week where four teams backs are unavailable.
The matchup against the Ravens is solid enough where Gainwell and Warren should be able to both produce at least decent fantasy marks.
28. David Montgomery
The same could be said about Montgomery, the Lions' No. 2 back.
The test against Dallas is above average, and with a need for offensive help in Detroit, I see Montgomery also delivering a decent fantasy score alongside Gibbs.
29. Tony Pollard
Pollard has a tougher test against the Browns in week 14.
He got enough touches and yardage last week to give him a spot in my top 30 as well.
30. Kareem Hunt
Hunt functioned as the top Chiefs' back last week, but I do expect Isiah Pacheco to take on more in week 14, so Hunt falls to No. 30.
Houston is another below-average matchup, so that also docks Hunt's fantasy outlook.
