2026 Dynasty Football Mock Draft: Building a Contender From Pick No. 6

After running through top-10 dynasty football rankings for every offensive position, let's do a dynasty mock draft for the 2026 season!

This mock draft simulator is from FantasyPros. My setup was 12 teams and drafting from the sixth position. The roster was as follows: one QB, two RBs, three WRs, one TE, three flex and five bench slots, so 15 total rounds. Let's dive in!

Round 1 - Amon-Ra St. Brown

I kicked the draft off by taking St. Brown, who is about as steady of a fantasy asset as you'll find in the game right now.

He's just 26 years old, and will power my wide receiver position. I'm opening this draft trying to compete for a title this season, but also draft for the long haul, and St. Brown was the perfect pick for that thinking.

Round 2 - De'Von Achane

I was thrilled to see Achane fall to me in round 2. He's just 24 years old and is a great dynasty back to build around.

He's had some injury issues early in his career, but those don't worry me all that much, especially because of this draft slot. If the Dolphins can rebuild around him, Achane could be a high-end fantasy back for several more years yet, helping me compete immediately, and for the long haul.

Round 3 - Drake Maye

Getting a quarterback early wasn't something I planned on doing, but after my first two picks, I decided to take a swing on Maye in round 3. He's 23 years old, and already is a top-end fantasy QB, so he should guide my team for years to come.

I won't have to take another quarterback for a long time now, so now I can focus on filling up the skill positions, which makes this pick even better in my eyes.

Round 4 - Makai Lemon

Here, I went a little bit more for the long-term player and grabbed Lemon. He's 22 years old entering his rookie year.

He might not take off right away, so I'll need other wideouts soon, but I like his long-term outlook, so I decided to roll the dice on Lemon. If he emerges as the team's No. 1 wideout over time, this will be a stellar pick.

Round 5 - Tee Higgins

I got another receiver right away with Higgins, who is 27 years old. He still has a few more good seasons in him, at least.

He's dealt with some injuries over his career, but as my third dynasty wideout, that alleviates some of those concerns with him. Even if Higgins sticks as a No. 2 wideout for his career, I still like the value of this pick here.

Round 6 - Bhayshul Tuten

I grabbed a second running back here with Tuten. He's 23 years old and entering his second year in the league.

He showed some promise as a rookie, and now should be RB1 for Jacksonville. If he excels in that role, I have an every-week fantasy RB starter for years to come, so I love this pick.

Round 7 - Kyle Pitts Sr. 

I still needed a tight end, and decided on Pitts over Sam LaPorta - that's the same as my tight end rankings. Pitts is 25 years old, and is coming off a career season.

Pitts gives me a better chance to win now, in my opinion at least. I'll take another tight end eventually, but I like him as my top dynasty tight end for now.

Round 8 - Kyle Monangai

I nabbed another running back here with Monangai. He's 24 years old.

He showed some nice things in his rookie season, and has a chance to take over as the Bears' lead back in time, maybe as early as this coming season. I couldn't pass on that in round 8, especially with all my starting spots full already.

Round 9 - RJ Harvey

I went running back again in round 9, getting a guy I debated taking in Round 8. Harvey is just 25 years old.

He was an older rookie coming into last year, and didn't excel like many expected him too. As a depth option, I like his value, especially if he eventually becomes the team's lead back.

Round 10 - Blake Corum

I promise I'll take a position outside running back again, but I just liked the value with Corum too much here. He's another 25-year-old.

He's carved out an offensive role for the Rams, and could be a lead back somewhere during his career yet, so I decided to nab him here in round 10. I feel it's great value.

Round 11 - Chig Okonkwo

I wanted another tight end, and grabbed one here in Okonkwo. He's 26 years old.

He was OK in Tennessee, but I think his move to Washington could result in big things for the TE. Okonkwo is just a depth pick, and could be dropped if needed, but if he takes off, I have another flex-level starting option, or someone to possibly trade high.

Round 12 - Fernando Mendoza

I was thrilled to get Mendoza at this point of the draft. He is just 22 years old and could be my quarterback of the future if he pans out.

I already have Maye, who is just a year older, but Mendoza could make Maye expendable in time. If not, I can just ride with these two young quarterbacks for the long haul.

Round 13 - Jalen McMillan

I need some wide receiver depth, and get a little here with McMillan. He's 24 years old. 

He's produced a bit in his first two years, and could see his role increase after Mike Evans left in free agency. I could be sitting on a huge draft steal here if McMillan keeps improving, so I like this gamble late in this dynasty mock draft.

Round 14 - Stefon Diggs

I'm feeling good about my roster, and it's chances to compete both now and in the long haul, so I decided to cap my draft with a veteran piece. Diggs is 32 years old, so he's someone to help me win now, then I can replace him in a year or two.

At this point of the draft, the value isn't very high, so I don't mind switching my focus for a bit. Diggs gives me a bit more wide receiver depth, which was needed.

Round 15 - Max Klare

There wasn't really anyone I loved at this pick, so I decided to take a long-term gamble on Klare. He's 23 years old and was a second-round pick this year.

The Rams don't have a tight end locked in, so Klare could be their guy in a few years. He's one to stash for the time being, and I could just drop him if he doesn't pan out.

Final Thoughts

I was graded as a B (85/100) in this dynasty mock draft. That was sixth in the league, which matches the spot I drafted in.

My starters were ranked second in the league, while my bench was ranked last - that makes sense after some of the gambles I took, especially late. 

With Maye and Mendoza, I'm set at quarterback for the long haul, especially if Mendoza pans out. I have trade options there if that happens, but the position is definitely a strength to start.

At running back, Achane and Tuten will power me early on, with Harvey, Monangai and Corum as additional options. I'm young there, so I'm set if those guys stay healthy and semi-productive even. I'll need to upgrade there over time though.

St. Brown, Lemon and Higgins are a good starting wide receiver trio. McMillan and Diggs give me depth for now, but it's another position I'll need to upgrade in time.

Pitts, Okonkwo and Klare were my picks at tight end. Pitts and Okonkwo will lead that position now, while Klare was just a lottery pick. It's a position I might need to address, but probably not for a couple years.

I like the final look of this dynasty team and think I can compete in 2026, but also for the years to come. I know my strengths and weaknesses, and what I'd need to do at each spot, so I'm confident after this mock.
