Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings for Week 14: Matthew Stafford, Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson and More
Morgan gives his week 14 fantasy football rankings for quarterbacks.
A new week of fantasy football is nearly here, so let's start going over rankings for week 14 of the NFL regular season.
We will begin with the quarterback position. Check back for rankings for running backs, wide receivers and tight ends.
Check out week 14 fantasy football projections for quarterbacks on FantasySP as well.
1. Josh Allen
Allen is back atop the QB fantasy leaderboard in terms of points per game, and a super favorable matchup in week 14 is even more reason to give him the top spot.
He gets the Bengals, who are one of the best fantasy matchups a quarterback could have, so I expect Allen to shine this coming week.
2. Dak Prescott
Maybe surprisingly to some, Prescott gets the No. 2 ranking.
He has the Lions in week 14, and they are another great fantasy matchup. Prescott should continue to deliver big fantasy points as a result.
3. Jalen Hurts
Hurts lands my No. 3 spot going into a test against the Chargers.
It's a very tough test on paper, but I believe in the dual-threat fantasy quarterback getting the job done still.
Mahomes was stellar last week in a great matchup, but has a very tough test in week 14.
The Texans are his matchup, and they are the toughest fantasy matchup a quarterback could have. I still see Mahomes having a big enough fantasy day to secure the No. 4 overall spot among quarterbacks.
Stafford had a rare hiccup last week, but I expect him to bounce back in week 14 against the Cardinals.
Arizona is a below-average matchup, but nothing too daunting, so I see Stafford as a high-end fantasy QB again.
6. Jared Goff
Goff was good in week 13 despite the Lions taking a loss.
He now will have a super favorable fantasy matchup with the Cowboys. It's the best fantasy matchup a QB could have, so I might have ranked Goff far too low.
7. Joe Burrow
Burrow looked pretty good in his week 13 return, and now will square off with the Bills in a must-win game for Cincinnati.
The Bills are another super tough fantasy test for a QB, but I have more faith in Burrow and the Bengals' offense, so the QB gets the No. 7 ranking.
8. Bo Nix
Nix has been solid over the past two weeks, but nothing special.
A week 14 battle with the Raiders is a just below-average matchup, so I see Nix delivering a good fantasy score by the end of the contest.
9. Jordan Love
Love starred on Thanksgiving, and now has another pretty good fantasy matchup to take advantage of.
He gets the Bears, who are a top-10 fantasy matchup for a QB. I see Love posting a big fantasy score for a second straight week.
10. Daniel Jones
Jones battled through injury and delivered a pretty solid fantasy score in week 13.
He has a pretty favorable test coming against the Jaguars, so it's a chance for Jones to post a good fantasy score, and I think he lands in the top 10.
11. Lamar Jackson
It's weird ranking Jackson so low, but he doesn't deserve to go even higher, or probably here for that matter.
Pittsburgh is another favorable matchup though, so maybe Jackson can finally get rolling in this contest.
12. Caleb Williams
Williams continues to be up and down as a fantasy asset.
His week 14 test against the Packers is a tough challenge, but I think he will do enough for a strong fantasy finish.
13. Justin Herbert
Herbert's status is one to watch as the week progresses, but he has until Monday to heal up enough.
He has a slightly below-average test coming against the Eagles, and would have ranked a bit higher if not for the injury concern.
14. Baker Mayfield
Mayfield gutted it out through an injury, posted a decent fantasy score and helped the Buccaneers to a much-needed win in week 13.
He gets the Saints in week 14. New Orleans is a below-average matchup, but nothing too challenging, so I expect Mayfield to deliver an average-or-so score again.
15. Trevor Lawrence
Lawrence excelled in week 13, and has quietly been an average-or-better fantasy asset over the past eight or so weeks.
His week 14 matchup against the Colts is below average, but again, it's nothing too crazy, so I expect Lawrence to be at least average this week.
16. C.J. Stroud
Stroud got back on the field in week 13, but had an uninspiring fantasy score.
His week 14 matchup against the Chiefs is pretty close to average, so I'm a bit higher on him than usual (four teams being on byes certainly helps his cause).
17. Jacoby Brissett
All Brissett seems to do is post big fantasy scores.
The Rams will be a tougher challenge for him in week 14, but after LA was just picked apart by Bryce Young, I have more faith in Brissett this coming week.
18. Tyrod Taylor
Taylor was one of the bigger fantasy surprises in week 13.
He has a chance to keep things rolling as well, as he gets a super favorable matchup against the Dolphins in week 14.
19. Sam Darnold
Darnold's team won convincingly on Sunday, but Darnold didn't do much of anything.
A bounceback showing seems doable against the Falcons, who are an average fantasy matchup. We'll see if Darnold can get back on track, but he's at least a deep-league option for this coming week.
20. Marcus Mariota
There's reports that Jayden Daniels could return this week, but I think Mariota gets another start. Mariota was pretty good in week 13, but it ended up being another loss for Washington.
The week 14 matchup against the Vikings is a tough one, so I expect Mariota to struggle if he ends up starting.
21. J.J. McCarthy
I expect McCarthy to be cleared from concussion protocol, and given the week 14 start against the Commanders.
It's a very favorable matchup, so we'll see if McCarthy can start a positive trend upward as a fantasy asset.
22. Aaron Rodgers
Rodgers gutted his way through some injuries last week, and I expect him to do the same again in week 14 against the Ravens.
That's a slightly above-average matchup for him, so there's a chance Rodgers outperforms my ranking. With his results of late and injury concerns, I'm most comfortable ranking Rodgers here.
23. Tyler Shough
Shough had a pretty good fantasy showing in week 13, marking his second solid mark over his past three games.
He could deliver his best marks of the season against the Buccaneers in week 14. That's a very favorable fantasy test, so we'll see how the rookie performs.
24. Tua Tagovailoa
Tagovailoa has struggled over the past four games he's played, but it's been masked with Miami winning games.
The Jets are a slightly above-average matchup for him, so there's a chance he could be an average-or-so quarterback. I'm way more comfortable ranking him here.
25. Shedeur Sanders
Sanders has been an OK fantasy asset over the past couple weeks, but he's still been below average.
A week 14 test against the Titans is above average, so he has a chance to deliver his best performance yet.
26. Kirk Cousins
Cousins has been a bit better than Sanders over the past two weeks, but his matchup is tougher.
Seattle is a below-average matchup for the veteran QB, and I think Cousins struggles to deliver in it.
27. Cameron Ward
Ward regressed in week 13 after a very nice showing in week 12.
Cleveland is a tough test for him, so I'm not expecting a very good fantasy outing from the rookie.
28. Geno Smith
Smith has been in double digits as a fantasy asset over the past three weeks, but has still been below average.
Denver is a very tough challenge for Smith, and I think he posts the worst fantasy score among the starting QBs this week.
Final Notes
If Herbert doesn't play, Trey Lance should start for the Chargers. I'd rank Lance between Rodgers and Shough.
If Daniels ends up starting for Washington, I'd rank him between Mayfield and Lawrence.
If McCarthy isn't cleared and Max Brosmer starts again, he would then take over the last-place ranking for week 14.
