Phillies
Jose Alvarado was suspended for 80 games, so Jordan Romano is now the clear closer.
Romano has four saves and a hold over his last five appearances, so he was trending up already. His fantasy value and ownership are rising by the day.
Matt Strahm might be next in line for saves if Romano ever struggles or gets hurt.
Mets
Edwin Diaz has locked down 10 of the team's 13 saves this season.
He's 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA over 19 innings. Diaz has struck out 27 batters. He's back to being one of the game's better fantasy closers this season, and would likely need to be injured to lose the top role for the Mets.
Braves
Raisel Iglesias has eight of the team's 10 saves.
He has a 3-3 record and 5.59 ERA over 19 1/3 innings, so he's not the best fantasy asset. Iglesias has 20 strikeouts on the season. He's still the team's preferred closer, but he's hard to trust given his struggles this season.
He probably shouldn't be owned in 90% of leagues, like he currently is.
Nationals
Kyle Finnegan has all 15 of Washington's saves in 2025.
He is 0-1 with a 2.41 ERA and 17 strikeouts over 18 2/3 innings. Finnegan is undervalued and overlooked in fantasy despite being one of the best options out there. He deserves to be rostered in more than 82% of leagues.
Marlins
Jesus Tinoco has four of the team's seven saves. Calvin Faucher has two saves and Anthony Bender has just one.
After earning a save on May 14, Tinoco worked in the seventh inning once, then pitched in the sixth and blew a save after allowing four runs.
Faucher has only worked in the eighth inning once over the past five appearances, and has been working earlier otherwise. Bender's save came early in the season, but he's been working the eighth and ninth innings of late.
Miami isn't a good enough team to roster a good fantasy reliever. With no clear option right now, none should be trusted in most deeper redraft leagues. The team might not have a fantasy reliever worth owning all season.
Cubs
Chicago's closer situation is a mess. Ryan Pressly has struggled in the closer role, and Porter Hodge is out with an injury.
Daniel Palencia earned a save on May 21, but blew a save on May 19. He looks to be the preferred option for the time being. Pressly has been working the seventh-eighth innings of late.
It's wild that a team this good doesn't have a clearly defined closer. Anyone who establishes themselves as the closer will be a good fantasy asset.
We'll keep an eye on things daily, so check the fantasy waiver wire stories in case someone emerges mid-week.
Cardinals
Ryan Helsley is the only Cardinal with multiple saves. He has nine on the year.
He's 1-0 with a 2.81 ERA over 16 innings. Helsley has 16 strikeouts this season. He's not the major fantasy asset he was last season, but Helsley is a pretty solid fantasy arm yet.
Reds
Emilio Pagan has 12 of the team's 14 saves so far.
He's 0-2 with a 3.52 ERA and 26 strikeouts over 23 innings. Pagan has a save in three straight appearances, but hasn't pitched since May 18.
Brewers
Trevor Megill is the only Brewer with multiple saves. He has eight on the season.
He's 0-2 with a 2.20 ERA and 18 punchouts over 16 1/3 innings. Megill is the clear closer for Milwaukee still.
Abner Uribe earned a save in his last appearance, but that was so Megill could get a breather after pitching several times in a short timeframe.
Pirates
Dennis Santana leads Pittsburgh with five saves, while David Bednar has four. The Pirates have 10 total saves.
Santana is 1-1 with a 1.77 ERA over 20 1/3 innings. He's struck out 13 batters. Bednar has 21 punchouts over 14 1/3 innings, but has an 0-4 record and 5.02 ERA.
Santana earned a save in his last outing, and has worked the ninth inning in four of his past five appearances. Bednar got a save in his last outing as well.
It's tough to say which guy is the leader for saves right now. Bednar has history on his side, but Santana has pitched much, much better this season. Bednar is still the higher-owned fantasy asset at 37%, while Santana is at 18%.
This will be one to watch all season, although the Pirates might not be good enough to support a single fantasy reliever.
Dodgers
Tanner Scott continues to lead the Dodgers - he has 10 saves.
Scott earned a save in his last appearance, which came a day after he blew a save and allowed four runs (three earned). Nobody else has earned a save recently.
Scott is a big fantasy asset being on a great team and serving as the top closing option. He should retain that role as long as he's pitching well and healthy.
Giants
Ryan Walker has nine of the team's 14 saves, with Camilo Doval getting the other five.
Walker continues to work ninth innings only. He has two saves in a row and is unscored upon in four straight appearances.
Doval doesn't have a save over his past five appearances, but has been working between the eighth-tenth innings, so he has a high-leverage role at least.
Walker is the preferred closer in San Fran. He's rostered in 79% of leagues, and is trending up with some better pitching of late.
Doval is at 60%, and will probably continue to drop as he doesn't get save opportunities.
Padres
Robert Suarez has 15 of the 16 San Diego saves this season.
He's 0-1 with a 2.70 ERA over 20 innings, and also has 22 strikeouts to his name. Suarez blew a save in his last appearance, and allowed five runs three appearances ago.
Suarez might not be the best fantasy option of late, but he's still one of the better assets so far this season. We'll see if he can turn things around soon.
Diamondbacks
Shelby Miller now leads the Diamondbacks with five saves. A.J. Puk has four and Justin Martinez has three.
Puk and Martinez are out with injuries, and Miller has emerged in their absences. Martinez is nearing a return, and will likely be the sole closer when he's back, so his status is one to watch. Miller might be droppable once that happens.
Rockies
Seth Halvorsen and Zach Agnos have two saves each for the Rockies. Tyler Kinley and Victor Vodnik have one save each.
Halvorsen earned a save on May 17, then blew a save after allowing four runs in 2/3 of an inning on May 19 - that came in the eighth inning. Halvorsen hasn't pitched since.
Agnos has worked between the seventh-ninth innings of late, but has appeared in just one win over his past five outings. Kinley worked the ninth inning in his last appearance, but was in the seventh-eighth innings before that. Vodnik worked the fifth-sixth innings for his last appearances, but was between the eighth-ninth frames before that.
I'm not sure who would get a save chance tonight if the Rockies got one. Colorado simply doesn't have a go-to closer, and the team isn't good enough to support one in fantasy anyway.
