Fantasy Baseball Sunday Streamers: Cameron, Holmes, and Top Pitching Waiver Targets
Four starting pitchers with good matchups on Sunday who are widely available in fantasy leagues.
After the Nationals beat the Athletics 23-4 on Friday, the A's came back and turned the tables yesterday, dropping Washington with a 15-1 victory. We talk often about how every day is different in MLB, and one game doesn't affect another, and the flip-flop between the Nats and A's is just another example of turning the page once a game ends.
Moving to fantasy baseball, let's look at four starting pitchers in action on Sunday with good matchups who are widely available in fantasy leagues. Most stats are from MLB.com, as are the probable pitchers. The full streamer rankings are listed at the bottom.

Noah Cameron, Kansas City Royals vs. San Diego Padres
Cameron has been around average or a little better with both walks and strikeouts, something that was true last season as well. The problem is that Cameron did well limiting hits, runs, and home runs last year, but he has been on the wrong side in each of those areas in 2026, getting hit much harder. In fact, Cameron has already allowed 11 more runs this season than he did all last year despite throwing around 45 fewer innings so far.
The Padres are one of our favorite targets, ranking perilously low in many offensive areas. They are dead last in both runs and hits; that's a bad start. They are regularly in the bottom 10 in most other box stats, including bottom-two rankings in all four slash categories. There might not be a team struggling more offensively than San Diego, and it has finally been reflected in their record after riding good luck earlier in the season.
Cameron is a low-to-mid-level streamer. With the matchup heavily in his favor, we could maybe bump him up another level, particularly with decent strikeout numbers, but Cameron has been hit hard this season, leaving a little hesitancy.
Grant Holmes, Atlanta Braves vs. Texas Rangers
Texas is a decent offensive team on the road, but their numbers are pulled down by lower production at home, as they play in one of the best pitcher's parks in baseball. I bring it up pretty much every day I talk about the Rangers, but it's impossible to ignore; Globe Life Field is close to the opposite of Coors Field, seriously depressing numbers. This one takes place in Atlanta, helping the hitters, but the Rangers are still more of an average team, leaving them able to be targeted.
Holmes walks a few too many guys but has been an average strikeout pitcher this season, which is actually a step down from the past two years. He has done well limiting hits and runs, but Holmes has been a little susceptible to giving up home runs, an issue he hasn't had previously. Holmes gave up one earned run or fewer in each of his past four starts, but he didn't go more than five innings in any of those outings, so there's a little worry about a short start, though that's not a major factor.
Holmes is a low-to-mid-level streamer. He has been good, but his strikeouts being down just a little is enough to drop him a bit against a team that probably isn't as bad offensively as its numbers indicate.
Andre Pallante, St. Louis Cardinals @ Arizona Diamondbacks
Pallante does very well with walks, but he is a well-below-average strikeout pitcher, capping his fantasy ceiling. He has been pretty average otherwise while doing very well limiting home runs, something that has been true his entire career. After putting up his best month in June, Pallante had split outcomes in his two July starts, first throwing 5 2/3 scoreless innings against the Cubs but then giving up six runs and eight hits in five innings against Milwaukee.
Arizona has stayed around .500 most of the season despite subpar offensive work. They rank in the bottom 10 in most box stats, including sitting right near the bottom in home runs. A team doesn't have to hit home runs to be successful, but the Diamondbacks haven't been able to string together enough baserunners otherwise, ranking in the bottom 10 in both hits and walks.
Pallante is a low-to-mid-level streamer. The matchup is in his favor, but Pallante has been just OK, and his poor strikeout numbers limit his upside on any given day.
Alan Rangel, Philadelphia Phillies vs. New York Mets
The Mets are another one of our favorite targets, ranking in the bottom 10 in essentially every offensive area. They are down in the bottom five in runs scored and all four slash categories, showing ineptitude across the board (though they have gotten to an average level in home runs). We will keep going after New York every day when we can, as they continue to be maybe the biggest disappointment of the 2026 season.
Rangel has started two games and pitched bulk relief innings three other times, totaling just 19 1/3 innings. He has been good with strikeouts while walking too many hitters and doing very average work in limiting hitters when they make contact. Rangel did decent strikeout work in the minors, so he could keep at least an average level there, but there's very little to go off as far as what we can expect from Rangel as a big-league pitcher.
Rangel is another low-to-mid-level streamer on a day full of them. The matchup is right, but we're probably looking at a short start, and Rangel has such a short track record that it's tough to expect too much.
