We looked at the best and worst pitchers and hitters from the month of May yesterday, and are back today to look at hitters who have excelled or struggled over the past week of play.

We'll check in on hitters trending up first. The stats cover May 27-June 2.

Use the FantasySP Trade Value Chart and Trade Analyzer all season when assessing fantasy baseball trades. Also be sure to check out the new “Ask Fantasy Expert” tool inside the analyzer.

Most Hits

Toronto's Ernie Clement had the most hits over the timeframe we are using today. He had 13 total knocks, including four doubles and two homers. Clement also has six runs scored and RBIs, no walks and three strikeouts over that span.

Clement has been on the rise as a waiver wire pickup as a result. He's now owned in 22% of leagues. Until he cools off at the plate, Clement looks like a good deep-league asset - scoop him up and stream him until his hot hitting slows.

Milwaukee's Christian Yelich and Sal Frelick, Pittsburgh's Bryan Reynolds and Athletics Jacob Wilson all had 11 hits over the last week.

Yelich had four homers and a double among his hits. He added 10 RBIs, six runs scored, a walk and stolen base and struck out six times.

Yelich got off to a slow start this season, but he's trending back up now. He's owned in 95% of leagues synced here at FantasySP. He's gaining back value he lost early in the season. Depending on your opinion on the veteran slugger, now is either a time to sell high on Yelich or a time to enjoy a good fantasy hitter's success.

Frelick has just one extra-base hit (a double) among his 11 hits over the past week. He also has posted four runs scored, three RBIs, a stolen base, no walks and three strikeouts.

Frelick is back on the rise as a fantasy asset, and is rostered in 47% of leagues now. Without much power, Frelick tops out as a deep-league asset most often. He should be rostered in most of those leagues though, so he's still undervalued a bit.

Reynolds had two doubles and a triple and home run among his 11 hits this past week. He added seven RBIs, two runs scored, three walks and struck out just once.

Reynolds also got off to a slow start this season, but his own percentage is back on the rise after his hot stretch. He's owned in 85% of leagues now. You can treat him a lot like Yelich - Reynolds isn't as valuable in fantasy leagues, but he doesn't have the injury history that Yelich does.

Wilson had two doubles and a home run among his 11 knocks. He added three RBIs and runs scored, two walks and five strikeouts.

Wilson just continues to deliver night after night. He's up to 93% rostered, which is still not high enough. He's one of the best fantasy hitters so far, and he's showing no signs of slowing down. Wilson's numbers are likely to drop in time, but he's still a player I'd be more interested in acquiring than trying to sell high on.

Most RBIs

Tampa Bay's Junior Caminero led the MLB with 13 RBIs last week. He had nine hits, including three doubles and four home runs. Caminero also had seven runs scored, a walk and five strikeouts.

Caminero had maybe his best week of the season, which is a good sign for his fantasy owners. He's up to 96% rostered now, and trending in the right direction. If you're not completely sold on Caminero, now would be a time to sell high on him, but again, I'd be more interested in adding this young bat to my team.

LA Dodgers' Max Muncy had 11 RBIs last week. He collected seven hits, including four home runs. Muncy also had six runs scored, four walks, a stolen base and just two strikeouts.

This is the Muncy I expected at the start of this season. He's jumped up to 61% rostered now, and is getting into standard leagues now. He's capable of sticking in those leagues for the remainder of the season, especially while hitting in such a stacked lineup, so don't wait too long if you want to add Muncy.

Seattle's Cal Raleigh is tied with Yelich at 10 RBIs over the past week. Raleigh had six homers among his eight hits, along with six runs scored, three walks, a stolen base and eight strikeouts.

Raleigh has enjoyed a monster season, despite some big strikeout totals. Depending on your opinion on the slugger, Raleigh is either a sell-high trade candidate, or someone's success to sit back and enjoy for as long as you can.

Walk Leaders

Athletics' Lawrence Butler walked seven times last week, which ended up leading the MLB. He also had 10 hits over that span, including two doubles and two home runs. Butler also had five RBIs, seven runs scored, a stolen base and 10 strikeouts.

Butler is rostered in 93% of leagues right now, and he's trending up ever so slightly of late. His overall season numbers are pretty solid, and if he keeps getting on base as much as he did last week, he'll continue to rise as a fantasy asset. If you don't believe in him, selling high in a trade is a decent option right now.

Detroit's Gleyber Torres, Milwaukee's Brice Turang and Washington's James Wood all walked six times last week.

Torres had five hits, all singles, last week. He drove in two runs, scored four times and struck out on five occasions.

Torres is a bit overlooked in fantasy leagues, even though he's rostered in 90% of leagues. He's one of the better fantasy second baseman out there despite missing some time with an injury earlier in the season. He's a player to heavily consider adding if he's available in your league, and he's also a sell-high candidate if you don't believe in him for the long haul this season.

Turang had six hits, including one double, over the past week. He also had three RBIs, five runs scored, a stolen base and five strikeouts.

Turang has cooled off a bit at the plate, but he's still getting on base plenty. He's owned in 93% of leagues right now, and that probably should be higher considering he's a top-10 fantasy second baseman for the season.

Wood added seven hits, including three home runs and two doubles, to go with his six walks last week. He also had eight RBIs, five runs scored, two stolen bases and 11 strikeouts.

Wood has been one of the top fantasy hitters to this point of the season. He's a daily starting option, and is a very well-rounded fantasy asset. Again, I'm more inclined to add him to my team than I'd be to trade him away.

Other Standouts

Cincinnati's Elly De La Cruz led the MLB with eight runs scored last week. He had seven hits, including two doubles and three homers, along with five RBIs, two walks and four strikeouts.

De La Cruz is one of the top fantasy hitters in the game, so it's great to see him performing to that level. He's a player to keep rostering all season, unless you can get a haul for him in a trade.

Chicago Cubs' Pete Crow-Armstrong had five hits, including a double and homer, five runs scored, three RBIs, two walks, five stolen bases and seven strikeouts.

He's been one of the top fantasy hitters in the game so far, and he's showing no signs of slowing down. Even if you think he can continue to put up big numbers, you should probably still consider selling high on PCA, because he could land you a more proven fantasy star for the remainder of the season.

Texas' Marcus Semien had eight hits and three walks last week - among qualified hitters, he led the league with a .571 average. Semien also had six runs scored, three RBIs and walks and two stolen bases and strikeouts. He doubled and homered once among his hits.

Semien got off to an awful start, but is trending up with some solid play of late. He's worth considering in standard leagues again, and is rostered in 75% of leagues now. Maybe you could “sell high” if you still rostered Semien in a standard league but didn't believe in him for the long haul.

Cleveland's Carlos Santana had a .529 average last week, with nine hits and four walks across 21 plate appearances. He homered for one of his hits, while also posting two RBIs, four runs scored and two strikeouts.

Santana is up to 35% rostered after his recent surge. He's got decent numbers for the season, and could be a help to those deep-league fantasy owners reading this, especially if you need another first baseman or infielder. Utilize Santana while he's hot at the plate.
