Ranking Wednesday's Fantasy Baseball Starting Pitchers: Who Leads the Way on a Day Packed with Aces?
Morgan ranks every fantasy starting pitcher for Wednesday, June 25.
With a lack of great fantasy baseball waiver wire pitching options today, I'm going to switch things up from the usual daily article and rank every fantasy starting pitcher for Wednesday, June 25.
Check back in a bit for the waiver wire hitter story, and be sure to read the daily streaming article.

1. Logan Webb
Webb is my top-ranked starting pitcher for Wednesday. He's pitched to a 2.49 earned run average this season and has a very favorable matchup against the Marlins. Webb should be in line for a monster fantasy showing.
2. Max Fried
Fried lands in the second spot before his matchup against the Reds. It's another super favorable matchup, and Fried has been good this season with a 2.05 ERA and 97 punchouts. I expect the Yankees' starter to turn in a strong start.
3. Paul Skenes
Skenes is my No. 3 option for the day. He will face the Brewers, who have been hitting better of late. Skenes is a fantasy stud though, and you have to trust your stars to get the job done. Some might even dock Skenes more because his team never seems to support him with any runs.
Yamamoto gets a favorable matchup against the Rockies. I wanted to rank him higher, but the game being in Colorado knocks Yamamoto down a couple pegs.
5. Zack Wheeler
Wheeler falls to No. 5 today. He has the toughest matchup of any pitcher we've discussed today, as he'll face the Astros. Wheeler has a 2.61 ERA and 118 punchouts on the season, and should be trusted against any opponent.
The Brewers' rookie sensation is my No. 6 starting pitcher for the day. He gets to face the weak-hitting Pirates, so he's in line for another big fantasy showing. The Miz would rank even higher if he wasn't opposing Skenes.
7. Jacob deGrom
deGrom has a start against the Orioles on Wednesday. deGrom has been great this season, with a 2.24 ERA and 87 punchouts, and I think he turns in another great start today.
Rasmussen is my No. 8 fantasy starting pitcher going into his start against the Royals. That's a favorable matchup, and his 2.61 ERA and 67 punchouts so far also should ease fantasy owners minds for tonight's start.
9. Joe Ryan
Ryan will face the Mariners on Wednesday night. It's another so-so matchup, but Ryan's 3.06 ERA and 96 strikeouts this season makes him a good starting option.
10. Nick Pivetta
Pivetta will look to continue his strong season against the Nationals on Wednesday. He's got a 3.64 ERA and 91 strikeouts so far, and would rank a bit higher if he was opposing a different arm.
11. George Kirby
Kirby pitches against the Twins tonight. He's struggled to a 6.16 ERA over six starts, but the matchup is solid enough to trust the fantasy hurler in.
12. Clay Holmes
Holmes is my No. 12 fantasy starter for the day. He gets a matchup against the Braves, who are stacked offensively, but have struggled more than expected. Holmes has a 3.04 ERA and 73 strikeouts, which are why he ranks as high as he does.
13. Jack Flaherty
Flaherty gets a matchup against the Athletics today. The Athletics can be a sneaky-good offense, and Flaherty's 4.83 ERA isn't all that great anyway. I still think Flaherty could deliver a big fantasy showing tonight.
14. Matthew Boyd
Boyd will square off against the Cardinals on Wednesday. It's a pretty solid matchup for him, and he's pitched well, with a 2.84 ERA and 79 strikeouts so far. He'd rank a lot higher if there weren't so many other aces throwing today.
15. MacKenzie Gore
I don't like Gore's matchup against the Padres, but with 123 punchouts on the season, Gore is still a fantasy arm that could deliver good results tonight.
16. Michael Wacha
Wacha gets to face the Rays on Wednesday night, and he ranks 16th for me. Wacha has been good this season with a 3.24 ERA, but having only 65 strikeouts knocks him down several spots.
17. Yusei Kikuchi
Kikuchi has an afternoon tilt against the Red Sox today. It's a more average matchup, but Kikuchi's 3.01 ERA is worth giving him a spot near the middle of the rankings.
18. Edward Cabrera
Cabrera faces the Giants and Webb on Wednesday. San Fran isn't the best offense, and Cabrera's 3.81 ERA so far is solid. He has a solid fantasy floor, but a pretty limited fantasy ceiling, so that's why I ranked him where I did.
19. Gavin Williams
It was tough to rank Williams, but I ended up putting him in the No. 19 spot. He faces the Blue Jays on Wednesday and sports a 3.58 ERA and 78 strikeouts on the season. Williams could deliver above-average results tonight, but I'm most confident slotting him in here.
20. Zac Gallen
Gallen has one of the best matchups of the day against the White Sox, but his struggles this season has me worried about him. He's got a 5.60 ERA and 86 strikeouts so far, so even if he works deep into the game and strikes out a good amount of batters, a few runs allowed will take him from a good option to an average-or-worse one.
21. Jacob Lopez
Lopez is my No. 21 fantasy starter for the day. He gets a matchup against the MLB's best team, the Tigers. Lopez has a 4.25 ERA so far, and the matchup isn't the best, so he falls a few spots below the middle of the pack.
22. Max Scherzer
The veteran has a start against the Guardians on Wednesday. He's made just one start this season, so Scherzer doesn't rank super well despite having a favorable matchup ahead.
23. Brady Singer
Singer is usually a middle-of-the-pack fantasy option, but he has a matchup against the Yankees on Wednesday. That's not a matchup to try, but I'm still ranking him above others because he's got a solid fantasy floor.
24. Erick Fedde
Fedde has had a solid season with a 3.54 ERA so far, but a matchup against the Cubs is another not to test today. His lack of strikeouts also works against him today, so I'm not expecting anything over an average start, and I think he ends up below average today.
25. Richard Fitts
Fitts has a decent matchup against the Angels, but with a 4.71 ERA over sporadic MLB starts this season, I'm not expecting much from him. He was battered by the Angels in his last appearance on June 2, and while I expect better results this time, I'm not high on Fitts.
26. Brandon Young
Young has a favorable matchup against the Rangers, but after uninspiring starts in his first two appearances of the year, I'm limiting my expectations again. I might even have Young a few spots too high, but in the favorable matchup, I'm willing to take a little gamble.
27. Colton Gordon
Gordon has a 4.54 ERA so far this season, and has a tough matchup against the Phillies. Him facing Wheeler also works against him too. This is another pitcher to try to avoid today.
28. Didier Fuentes
Fuentes has a stiff test against the Mets on Wednesday. He didn't look the best in his first start, and this matchup isn't right to try Fuentes in today.
29. Sean Burke
Burke will go up against Gallen and the D-Backs. Burke has a 4.50 ERA this season, and in the tougher matchup, I think he's going to struggle today.
30. Chase Dollander
Dollander gets the unlucky privilege of facing the Dodgers today. The Rockies' rookie has a 6.19 ERA so far, and it might rise after this one. Avoid Dollander at all costs.
