These rising fantasy baseball hitters are worth a look as managers search for early-week waiver wire help.

We already have looked at fantasy baseball waiver wire pitchers (starting pitcher streamers) for Monday, and now we will turn our attention to hitters.

Check back in a bit for some weekly projections and more!

Fantasy baseball waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP!

Ryan Waldschmidt - Arizona Diamondbacks

Waldschmidt is up 4.6% so far today, and he sits at 39.06% overall.

Waldschmidt is on a heater coming into the new week, with two hits in three straight games. He has a triple among the hits, plus an RBI, two runs scored, no walks and four strikeouts. Waldschmidt has also stolen two bases in that short stretch.

He's now played in 16 MLB games, and has logged 57 plate appearances. Waldschmidt has 18 hits now, including four doubles and one triple. He has seven RBIs, nine runs scored, five stolen bases and walks and 16 strikeouts.

He's an outfielder, which is a loaded fantasy position. The good thing is that he's playing often, and now is starting to produce more at the plate. The D-Backs will have no choice but to keep him in the lineup, and in the big leagues, if he keeps producing at the plate.

He's a pretty good deep-league asset at this point. With a little more production, Waldschmidt could sneak into standard leagues pretty soon, so keep close tabs on him for potential adds in those leagues. He's one to add in deeper leagues today though.

Casey Schmitt - San Francisco Giants

Schmitt has risen 3.97%, which brings his overall mark to 75.25%.

He has a pair of two-hit games in a row. Schmitt has homered in each of those games, plus has a double, six RBIs, four runs scored, a walk and no strikeouts.

Schmitt has been a surprise so far in 2026, as he sits with a .296 average and .339 on-base percentage over 45 contests and 183 plate appearances. He has 50 total hits, including 11 home runs, nine doubles and a triple. Schmitt also has 29 RBIs, 25 runs scored, three stolen bases, seven walks and 36 strikeouts.

He has played at first, second and third base, plus shortstop and left field this season. The more spots Schmitt can slot in at, the higher his fantasy value and potential are.

He's one to definitely own in all deeper leagues right now, and he's a sneaky-good standard leagues option too. I look at Schmitt more as a short-term option in standard leagues, but he's worth utilizing when he's performing well, and now is one of those times.

Jake Burger - Texas Rangers

Burger has been added in 4.36% of leagues and now sits at 37.25% overall.

Burger has heated up of late, collecting six hits over his past five games. He has two homers and two doubles in that stretch, plus three RBIs, four runs scored, three walks and five strikeouts.

On the season over 50 games and 206 plate appearances, Burger has a .241 average and .291 OBP. He has eight doubles and 10 home runs among his 46 total knocks, plus 34 RBIs, 23 runs scored, a stolen base, 13 walks and 55 strikeouts.

When looking at all those stats, you can see why he's not owned in more fantasy leagues. He still can be a decent deep-league asset at times, and now is definitely one of those times.

Another thing working against Burger is that he's a first baseman - that's a stacked fantasy position. That will hold him back with his overall own percentage, even if he's red hot at the plate.

I like utilizing him in some deeper leagues right now, but he's more of a short-term option than someone to count on for the remainder of the season. Look elsewhere for standard league help.

Carlos Cortes - Athletics

Cortes is sitting at 25% rostered right now. He's slightly up from the past couple days.

Cortes has a seven-game hitting streak going as this week starts. He has nine hits in that span, including a double and a home run. Cortes has two RBIs, two runs scored, seven walks and only three strikeouts in that span.

He's been a sneaky-good fantasy hitter this season, and sits with a .350 average and .430 OBP over 42 games and 142 plate appearances so far. Cortes has 43 total knocks, including eight doubles, five homers and a triple. He also has 17 RBIs, 13 runs scored, a stolen base, 16 walks and just 14 strikeouts.

The outfielder deserves more fantasy love, even with lackluster numbers in some stats. Cortes can definitely help out some deep-league fantasy teams, even though he's part of that stacked outfield position too.

Look elsewhere for help in standard leagues, but utilize Cortes in deeper leagues for the time being.
