Fantasy Baseball Week 20 Projections and Waiver Wire Hitting Options

Another week of fantasy baseball has arrived, so it's time to go over the FantasySP weekly projections to possibly identify some fantasy baseball waiver wire hitting prospects.

Today's story has a Miami Marlins' theme. The team has been much more competitive over the past several weeks, and has eight games scheduled for the week, so the extra game is helping several hitters stand out.

Shortstops

Warming Bernabel has been one of the more popular fantasy baseball names over the past few days, and he's the top-projected hitter this week because of what he's accomplished so far. He's projected for a whopping 45 points over six games and is rostered in 43% of leagues.

Bernabel has played in eight games and gotten 33 big league plate appearances so far. He has 14 hits, including four doubles, three homers and a triple, along with eight RBIs, six runs scored, a walk and four strikeouts. Take advantage of this red-hot hitter before he cools off.

Xavier Edwards is set for 33 points over eight possible games. He's owned in 72% of leagues right now.

He has a .295 average and .360 on-base percentage across 94 games and 425 plate appearances. Edwards has 17 doubles, three triples and a homer among his 112 total hits. He also has 29 RBIs, 17 stolen bases, 52 runs scored, 39 walks and 61 strikeouts.

Zach Neto (82% rostered) is set for 22 points across six games, as is Willy Adames (87%). Xander Bogaerts (87%) is projected for 21 points across six games.

Colson Montgomery (41%), Masyn Winn (46%), Dansby Swanson (78%) and Trevor Story (72%) are all projected for 20 points across six games.

Outfielders

Jakob Marsee is owned in just 4% of leagues but is set for 44 points across eight games after starting his MLB career strong.

Marsee has appeared in three big league games so far, getting 12 plate appearances. He has three doubles and a triple for his four hits, along with two runs scored, an RBI, four walks and three strikeouts.

Marcell Ozuna is projected for 26 points over eight possible games and is owned in 78% of leagues.

Over 100 games and 424 plate appearances, Ozuna has a .233 average and .364 OBP, although he's been a bit better of late. He has 11 doubles and 15 homers among his 80 total hits, while also posting 48 RBIs, 43 runs scored, 72 walks and 95 strikeouts.

Michael Harris II (87%) is set for 25 points over eight possible games. Chandler Simpson (60%) is projected for 24 points over six contests.

TJ Friedl (74%) is at 23 points and has seven games he could play in this week. Lawrence Butler (88%) is projected for 22 points over six games, as is Jung Hoo Lee (62%).

Sal Frelick (62%) and Bryan Reynolds (68%) are each projected for 21 fantasy points, but Reynolds has seven games and Frelick just six.

Kerry Carpenter (60%), Cedric Mullins (66%), Giancarlo Stanton (56%), JJ Bleday (9%) and Roman Anthony (74%) are all projected for 20 points across six contests.

Catchers

Agustin Ramirez is set for 32 points across eight possible games. He's owned in 84% of leagues right now.

He has played in 86 games and gotten 367 plate appearances on the season. Ramirez has a .241 average and .286 OBP, along with 50 RBIs, 48 runs scored, 22 walks, five stolen bases and 72 strikeouts. He also has 83 total hits, including 17 homers, 24 doubles and a triple.

Drake Baldwin is rostered in just 34% of leagues and is set for 24 fantasy points over eight possible games.

Across 79 games and 266 plate appearances, Baldwin has a .282 average and .350 OBP. He also has 11 doubles and homers among his 68 total knocks. Baldwin has tallied 41 RBIs, 23 walks, 26 runs scored and 46 strikeouts. 

Ivan Herrera (67%) is projected for 22 points across six games. Sean Murphy (30%) is set for 20 points over eight possible contests.

Alejandro Kirk (56%) and Carson Kelly (47%) are each projected for 20 points over six games this week.

Second Basemen

Otto Lopez is projected for 31 fantasy points over eight games. He's rostered in 58% of leagues.

Lopez has a .250 average and .322 OBP over 94 games and 391 plate appearances this season. He also has 14 doubles and 11 homers among his 88 total hits, along with 55 RBIs, 46 runs scored, 35 walks, 11 stolen bases and 55 strikeouts.

Ozzie Albies is projected for 26 points over eight contests. He's owned in 86% of leagues right now.

Across 110 games and 467 plate appearances, Albies has a .228 average and .306 OBP. He's posted 43 RBIs, 48 runs scored, 44 walks, 10 stolen bases and 73 strikeouts. Albies has 14 doubles, nine homers and a triple among his 95 total hits.

Nick Gonzales (4%) is set for 22 points over seven contests. Brice Turang (88%) and Tommy Edman (68%) are each projected for 21 points over six games.

Brandon Lowe (82%) and Luis Garcia Jr. (59%) are set for 20 fantasy points over six contests. Both have six games scheduled.

First Basemen

Eric Wagaman is set for 22 points over eight games. He's owned in 5% of leagues.

He's posted a .233 average and .277 OBP over 99 games and 383 plate appearances this season. Wagaman has 21 doubles, five home runs and a triple among his 83 total hits, while also tallying 34 RBIs, 35 runs scored, 22 walks, three stolen bases and 71 strikeouts.

Spencer Horwitz is also projected for 22 points this week. He has seven games scheduled and is rostered in 10% of leagues.

Horwitz has a .259 average and .332 OBP over 61 games and 241 plate appearances this season. He also has 31 RBIs, 28 runs scored, 23 walks and 51 strikeouts, while failing to steal a base. Horwitz has 14 doubles and five homers among his 56 total knocks.

Spencer Steer (45%) is at 21 points over seven possible games. Nolan Schanuel (38%) and Alec Burleson (70%) are projected for 20 points over six games each.

Third Basemen

Caleb Durbin is projected for 21 fantasy points this week. He has six games scheduled and is only rostered in 23% of leagues.

Durbin has played in 87 games and received 319 plate appearances so far this season. He has a .268 average and .350 OBP. Among his 74 hits, Durbin has 15 doubles and five home runs. Durbin has also posted 38 RBIs, 39 runs scored, 22 walks, 10 stolen bases and 30 strikeouts.

Zach McKinstry is projected for 20 fantasy points over his six games. He's owned in 68% of fantasy leagues.

He's played in 100 games and gotten 376 plate appearances, tallying a .265 average and .347 OBP along the way. McKinstry has 16 doubles, eight triples and nine home runs among his 87 total knocks. He also has 37 RBIs, 53 runs scored, 39 walks, 17 stolen bases and 81 strikeouts.
