We just went over pitching waiver wire/streaming options for Monday, and will cover some weekly projections in a story to come.
Fantasy baseball waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP!
Kyle Karros and Jake McCarthy - Colorado Rockies
Karros is owned in about 14% of fantasy baseball leagues right now - that's double the mark he was at just four days ago. McCarthy is way up to 84% rostered, so only a few of you could scoop him up today.
Karros has started July well, collecting six hits over four games. He has a triple and two home runs among those hits, plus four RBIs, six runs scored, a stolen base, two walks and four strikeouts.
Karros has 14 hits dating back to June 21, which covers 13 games and 47 plate appearances. He has four doubles, three homers and a triple among the hits, plus nine RBIs, 11 runs scored, a stolen base, six walks and 12 strikeouts.
Across 86 games and 292 plate appearances this season, Karros has a .263 average and .360 on-base percentage. He has 66 total hits, including 16 doubles, seven homers and two triples. Karros also has 29 RBIs, 44 runs scored, three stolen bases, 36 walks and 62 strikeouts.
Karros is a third baseman, and shouldn't be eligible anywhere else. He's doing enough, especially of late, for some deep-league fantasy ownership and utilization. I don't see him working into standard leagues, but he's at least worth watching in case he keeps delivering at the plate.
McCarthy has eight hits over his past four contests. He has a triple and three home runs in that span. The veteran outfielder also has 10 RBIs (in two games) and six runs scored in that stretch.
McCarthy has played in 76 games so far this season, getting 277 plate appearances. He has a .306 average and .343 OBP.
McCarthy has 78 total hits, including 16 doubles, nine home runs and six triples. He has 47 RBIs, 37 runs scored, 14 stolen bases, 15 walks and 49 strikeouts.
The outfielder is a sneaky-good fantasy asset this season, and should already have been utilized in all deeper leagues - that's especially the case now as his bat is hot. McCarthy is worth some standard league adds, especially if you need some outfield help.
McCarthy could be a sell-high trade candidate in some deeper leagues. In standard leagues, add and utilize him until his bat cools off a bit.
Garrett Mitchell - Milwaukee Brewers
Mitchell is up 3.04% so far today, and that brings his overall mark up to 23.95% overall.
He went hitless on Sunday, but had a five-game hitting streak before that. In that span, Mitchell had 10 hits, including three doubles, two home runs and a triple. He also had five RBIs, four runs scored, two walks and four strikeouts in that stretch.
Mitchell is enjoying a career season in what's been a rare healthy season over his time in the big leagues. Mitchell has a .264 average and .358 OBP over 78 contests and 280 plate appearances.
He has 64 hits so far, including 17 doubles, eight home runs and three triples. Mitchell also has 42 RBIs, 37 runs scored, six stolen bases, 34 walks and 94 strikeouts.
The outfielder is producing enough, especially of late, to own and utilize in most deeper leagues. Mitchell is even producing enough of late to consider in standard leagues right now. Be watching his stats and move off him if his bat cools off, but take advantage of things with him while he's producing at a higher level.
Mauricio Dubon - Atlanta Braves
Dubon is rostered in about 75% of leagues right now. He's been slowly trending up since June 27.
He has four hits over his past two games, and six knocks over his past four ballgames. Dubon has a homer, five runs scored and four RBIs in that four-game stretch.
Dubon has played in 84 games this season, getting 341 plate appearances so far. He has a .272 average and .330 OBP.
The veteran has 85 hits, and that includes 17 doubles, nine home runs and two triples. Dubon has 48 RBIs, 41 runs scored, two stolen bases, 25 walks and just 47 strikeouts.
He can play several positions, which bumps his fantasy value up some more. I think Dubon is an underrated fantasy asset, and that he's worth more ownership and utilization right now, especially while his bat is hot.
Give Dubon some consideration if he's a free agent in your fantasy league.
