Clear Slot Role Offers Deep-League Appeal

Austin joined the Giants in free agency, immediately earning the top slot receiver role on the depth chart. With rookie star Malik Nabers recovering from a torn ACL and Gunner Olszewski sidelined with an Achilles injury, Austin has a clear path to early-season snaps alongside Darnell Mooney and Darius Slayton.

While he posted consecutive 30-plus catch seasons in Pittsburgh, our models are conservative, projecting Austin for just 16 receptions, 206 yards, and one touchdown. He remains a low-volume option unless he commands a larger-than-expected share of the passing game.

His draft stock has steadily climbed over the past month, rising from an ADP near 974 in early June to 475 in July. Despite this momentum in PPR formats, his low rostered rate of under five percent highlights fantasy managers' hesitation. Given our modest projections, he is a late-round flyer best left for deeper leagues.
