Fantasy Baseball Sunday Pitching Streamers: Rocker and Bieber Bring Value as They Face Off
Four starting pitchers with good matchups on Sunday who are widely available in fantasy leagues.
The top of the National League is currently outpacing the top of the American League by a somewhat wide margin. The three division leaders in the NL all have at least 49 wins, with the Dodgers leading all teams with 53 victories. In the AL, the Yankees and Rays have 48 and 47 wins, respectively, but the White Sox (43) and Mariners (42) are both more than seven games behind their NL counterparts while leading the AL Central and West divisions.
We are only halfway through the season, and there is plenty of time for teams to rise and fall in the standings, but the National League is flexing some muscle early while teams on the American side are trying to stay on the positive side of .500.
Moving to fantasy baseball, let's look at four starting pitchers in action on Sunday who are widely available in fantasy leagues and have good matchups. Most stats are from MLB.com, as are the probable starters. The full streamer rankings are listed at the bottom.

Shane Bieber, Toronto Blue Jays vs. Texas Rangers
Kumar Rocker, Texas Rangers @ Toronto Blue Jays
We'll start today with a game in which we can target both teams with streaming pitchers. The Rangers are a bottom-10 offensive team that performs much worse at home than on the road, as their home park is one of the best pitcher's parks in baseball. (This game is in Toronto, which ranks right in the middle over the past three seasons.) The Blue Jays have shown a decent hit tool but not as much power. Though they don't strike out, they also don't walk, and Toronto ranks in the bottom 10 in runs scored.
Bieber made his first start of the season last Tuesday, just his 10th regular season start since the beginning of 2024. It didn't go well: 3 2/3 innings, nine hits, four runs, three home runs, and two strikeouts with no walks. At his best, Bieber has shown ace-level upside, but he has been on the field so rarely that many casual fans probably forgot about him before he pitched in the playoffs with Toronto last season. While the upside is undeniable, there's a ton of risk for the returning pitcher.
Rocker has already set a career high with 74 innings, and he has put together a perfectly average season, sitting right near that level in ERA, strikeout rate, walk rate, and hits allowed. There is more upside available for a young pitcher who was twice drafted in the top 10, particularly if he can up his Ks, which seems reasonable given his work in college and the minors. For now, Rocker is a good pitcher to consider when the matchup is right.
Bieber and Rocker are both low-to-mid-level streamers. Bieber has big upside, but there's no way to realistically expect that right now. Rocker has plenty of potential of his own, but he hasn't shown it consistently at the big-league level. There would also be more value if this game were taking place in Texas.
Anthony Kay, Chicago White Sox vs. Kansas City Royals
Kay has a 6-2 record for the surprising White Sox, but his other numbers are mostly average or worse. That isn't meant to denigrate his performance; Kay has been a very serviceable starter. He doesn't have a lot of fantasy value, though, particularly with his below-average strikeout work. Kay is another guy worth considering when the matchup is right, just with a lower ceiling than the others listed here today.
After getting blown out 22-1 by these same White Sox on Friday and losing again yesterday, Kansas City is 34-50 with a minus-71 run differential, both worst in the American League. Their offense is a major part of the issue, topping out in the middle in any area. Like Toronto, the Royals have shown a decent hit tool while lacking in power. They are closer to the middle of the league than the bottom, but we can still target KC on the right days.
Kay is a low-to-mid-level streamer. The matchup is good, not great, and Kay's lower K rate keeps his fantasy value down, putting a cap on what we can expect here.
Mitch Keller, Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Cincinnati Reds
After starting the season hot due in part to some incredible luck, the Reds now sit under .500 and in last place in maybe the best division in baseball top to bottom. They hit for some power, but that has even fallen to a more average level, and Cincinnati hasn't picked it up in other areas, putting them in the bottom 10 in runs and bottom five in hits. They are also in the top four in most batter strikeouts, setting a higher ceiling for opposing pitchers than any of our other targets today.
Keller has always kept a good walk rate, and he previously was an average strikeout pitcher. That K rate is well below average in 2026, and though he is doing fine limiting hits and homers, Keller has been giving up too many runs (5.20 ERA). There is surely some bad luck that's helping drive that number, but the drop in strikeouts combined with the blooming ERA means his fantasy value is down.
Keller is a low-to-mid-level streamer. He fits into a very big group of middling streaming pitchers that depend on the matchup, and he has some value today due to his opponent.
