Tuesday Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers: Shane McClanahan and Noah Schultz Face Off
Five starting pitchers in action on Tuesday who have good matchups and are widely available in fantasy leagues.
With the first few weeks of the MLB season in the books, it's tempting to draw conclusions that we will hold as fact until proven otherwise. While fantasy owners need to always be monitoring trends, it's important to remember that a lot will change. That's true now, and it's true in July; the baseball and fantasy landscape are ever-changing.
Let's look at five starting pitchers in action on Tuesday who have good matchups and are widely available in fantasy leagues. Most stats are from MLB.com, as are the probable pitchers. The full streamer rankings are listed at the bottom.

Shane McClanahan, Tampa Bay Rays @ Chicago White Sox
Noah Schultz, Chicago White Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays
Let's start with a game in which we can target both teams with streamers. The White Sox are one of our favorite targets, faltering in most areas while ranking high in most batter strikeouts; there's not a whole lot of discussion there. Tampa is more of a question as a target team because they were a bottom-10 offense last year but sit more like an average team right now (while showing above-average in multiple areas). We won't target Tampa Bay often with their current production.
The reason the Rays show up here is because of Schultz, the 26th overall pick in 2022 who is making his big-league debut in this one. Schultz had success in the minors including big strikeout numbers. This season, he is 3-0 in three appearances with a 1.29 ERA and 19 Ks in 14 innings. It might take a little while, but Schultz could easily be a major fantasy player early in his career.
McClanahan is owned in just over 50% of leagues, teetering on being owned too often to be a streamer, but we'll include him here because there is still availability, and the matchup couldn't be much better. McClanahan was very good from 2021-23, doing high-level strikeout work with an average walk rate. He then missed all of 2024 and 2025 recovering from Tommy John surgery and other issues. In 8 2/3 innings this year, he has given up just three hits (and no homers) but has walked seven batters, leading to five runs allowed (four earned).
McClanahan is a mid-level streamer and Schultz a low-to-mid-level streamer, though both guys have upside. The matchup for McClanahan is pristine, and given his high-level work in the past, he could jump another level soon if he finds his touch. Schultz is all projection, but I love young pitchers with pedigree, and his strikeout work could lead to some early fantasy success even if he falters a bit elsewhere.
Mitch Keller, Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Washington Nationals
Keller has been very average in most areas in his career, only really excelling at limiting home runs (one every 8.7 innings). That might not sound exciting, but in the world of streaming fantasy players, someone who is perfectly average can fill a lot of lineup slots (and make a lot of money in real life). Keller is a good option when the matchup is right.
The Nationals rank in the top 10 in a lot of offensive areas, not really sitting as a great target currently. They were a bottom-10 team last year, but with plenty of young talent, it isn't a surprise to see them playing better. They could regress with more time, but I'm not keen on going after Washington every day; this is more about the pitcher than the team he's facing.
Keller is a low-to-mid-level streamer. He has had a very good start to 2026, and I trust him to continue finding success, but the early prowess of the Nationals leaves this a middling-or-worse situation.
Michael McGreevy, St. Louis Cardinals vs. Cleveland Guardians
Cleveland had the outline of a team that could follow Washington's current path, a bottom-10 2025 offense that could improve given some of the names on the roster. Instead, they have mostly been below average with the bats, even seeing their star, Jose Ramirez, struggle mightily. There's a lot of time, and things could change, but I like the Guardians as a target team right now.
McGreevy does very well limiting walks, but he is also far below average with strikeouts, keeping his fantasy ceiling down a bit. He has been successful at limiting hitters and preventing runs, so McGreevy is a decent streamer to consider when the matchup is right, but he generally has a lower ceiling that some other guys don't have to worry about.
McGreevy is a low-to-mid-level streamer. I like the success he finds, but as mentioned above, his Ks are painfully low in the age of batter strikeouts, leaving him as a modest fantasy player on any given day.
Brady Singer, Cincinnati Reds vs. San Francisco Giants
Singer is right around average with both walks and strikeouts, setting himself up for success regularly. His start to 2026 hasn't been good, as though his BBs and Ks are fine, Singer has given up 21 hits, 11 runs, and two homers in just 11 2/3 innings. I like his chances of bouncing back to a more average level in those areas, but things haven't gone his way early.
San Francisco's lack of power is their defining trait right now, as the Giants have hit the fewest home runs while scoring at a bottom-five rate. Their home park leans toward pitchers, but San Fran has also struggled away from home, showing that they can be hapless regardless of location (we'll still probably skip them at Coors Field most times).
Singer is another low-to-mid-level streamer. His career numbers are worth pushing him to the middle tier, but given his struggles so far, we can temper expectations just a bit. With the matchup in his favor, it's worth at least considering Singer, particularly if you're in a deep league.
