Monday's Fantasy Baseball Starting Pitcher Streamers: Eduardo Rodriguez, Chad Patrick and More
Five starting pitchers in action on Monday who are widely available in fantasy leagues and have good matchups.
It's another Monday; we knew it was coming, but that doesn't make it any easier. Many will have a short week next week, as July 4 is on that Friday, but we still have a full, five-day work week to get through before we can think of that shorter time. With the NBA now over after yesterday's Game 7 and Oklahoma City's big win, we're in for a long summer without a lot of big sports news.
Let's look at five starting pitchers in action on Monday who are widely available in fantasy leagues and have good matchups. Most stats are from MLB.com, as are the probable starters. The full streamer rankings are listed at the bottom.

Patrick Corbin, Texas Rangers @ Baltimore Orioles
Trevor Rogers, Baltimore Orioles vs. Texas Rangers
We'll break alphabetical order just a bit to start with two pitchers on awful offensive teams who are facing each other. Both the Rangers and Orioles seem like teams that should be firmly in the playoff race, but their offenses are both bottom-five units, holding them back and putting each team in danger of falling out early (though the Rangers are holding on thanks to a fantastic pitching staff).
Corbin keeps defying expectations: after four straight seasons with a poor strikeout rate and an ERA over 5.00, he has found a fountain of youth of sorts in 2025. Corbin still is below average with strikeouts, but he continues to be better than average with walks, and Corbin isn't getting hit this year. In those past four seasons, Corbon allowed 820 hits in 679 2/3 innings, giving up more hits than innings pitched each year. In 2025, he has given up just 66 in 71 1/3 innings.
Rogers started the season on the IL then spent a little time in the minors upon his return before joining the big-league club. He has totaled 8 2/3 innings in his two starts, giving up three runs with three walks and nine strikeouts. Over his career, Rogers is a little better than average with strikeouts while walking just a few too many guys. His K work was down last season, but there's hope he can get back to a better number.
Corbin and Rogers are both low- to mid-level streamers. I don't really want to trust either guy, but the matchups are right for a possible good day on either side. I favor Rogers just a little.
Walker Buehler, Boston Red Sox @ Los Angeles Angels
Buehler will never be who he was when challenging for Cy Young awards, but he still has the stuff to be an average pitcher, the type of player that often ends up on our streaming list on the right days. Since missing all of 2023, Buehler has thrown about 135 innings in 28 starts with an average walk rate, below-average strikeout rate, and ERA around 5.50; that's not a great outlook.
The Angels have good power but otherwise labor to make things happen on offense. They are in the bottom five in hits, doubles, walks, batting average, and on-base percentage, and LA sits in the bottom 10 in most other categories. The homers are the only place they find any success; it's not enough given how bad they are otherwise.
Buehler is a low- to mid-level streamer. This matchup is good, but he's average at best now, including that diminished strikeout work.
Chad Patrick, Milwaukee Brewers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
Patrick has a good matchup here and will likely make his next start against the Rockies in Milwaukee, so he's both a good weekly player and a good guy to pick up then stash until the weekend to get two stellar matchups if you set your lineup daily. In his rookie season, Patrick has been a little better than average with both strikeouts and walks in 79 2/3 innings, making him an intriguing player this week.
Pittsburgh is one of our bottom-three teams, along with the Rockies and White Sox. There's just not a lot to even say about any future hope: the pitching staff looks good, but there's nothing offensively on this team to be excited about aside from the odd player, like Oneil Cruz. The Pirates have a long way to go to even get close to a feasible playoff team.
Patrick is a mid-level streamer with some upside. He did decent strikeout work in the minors, so there's hope he can hold that average level in the big leagues, and the matchup couldn't be much better.
Eduardo Rodriguez, Arizona Diamondbacks @ Chicago White Sox
The White Sox are another one of our top targets every day, joining the aforementioned Pirates and Rockies (when they're not at home, though they're still OK to target even at Coors Field). Also like Pittsburgh, there's not a lot to be excited about on Chicago's major league roster. They have acquired some nice players with trades, but those guys are either years away from really contributing or just reached the big leagues and need time and more talent around them.
Rodriguez is right at average with both walks and strikeouts in his career. After missing much of 2024, E-Rod has made 22 starts with the Diamondbacks, combining for 110 2/3 innings, 132 hits, 68 earned runs (ERA over 5.00), 41 walks, and 111 strikeouts. That's OK in a big hitter's haven in Arizona, but Rodriguez has been far from a reliable pitcher since joining the Dbacks.
Rodriguez is a low- to mid-level streamer with a little upside. This game takes place in Chicago instead of Arizona, which helps the pitchers, and Rodriguez has a history of success that he might be able to tap into against such a lowly team.
