Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings for Week 12: Mark Andrews, Juwan Johnson, Hunter Henry and More
Morgan gives his week 12 fantasy football rankings for tight ends.
Let's wrap up our week 12 fantasy football rankings by looking at the top-25 PPR tight ends.
We have already checked out quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers in other articles.
Check out week 12 fantasy football projections for tight ends on FantasySP as well.
1. Trey McBride
McBride has been the top fantasy tight end this season, and it's really not all that close.
He has a stellar matchup coming against the Jaguars too, so with Marvin Harrison out again, I see McBride absolutely going off.
Kittle is back as a top-end fantasy tight end - he went for 67 yards and two scores in Brock Purdy's return to the field.
His week 12 matchup against the Panthers is just above average, but I see the star player putting up another big-time fantasy showing.
3. Brock Bowers
Bowers got back on track in week 11, and will look to stack another nice performance in week 12 against the Browns.
Cleveland is a bit tougher challenge for fantasy tight ends, but I don't see it stopping Bowers.
4. Travis Kelce
Kelce is up to the No. 4 spot coming off his best fantasy performance so far this season. He's been at or near double digits in six of the past seven contests.
The Colts struggle to slow fantasy tight ends, so I expect Kelce to deliver a big-time score in week 12. He could lead the Chiefs' pass catchers overall.
5. Tyler Warren
Warren has been a pretty good fantasy asset all season - he's coming off one of his better showings too.
The Chiefs will be a tougher test for him, which is why he ranks “lower” at No. 5.
6. Hunter Henry
Henry looked pretty good in week 11 and now has a stellar matchup coming in week 12.
He has the Bengals, who are the most favorable fantasy matchup for a tight end so far this season (and it's not that close). I expect Henry to shine as a result.
Goedert has posted pedestrian numbers over the past four weeks, with a two-touchdown game saving him from four straight single-digit fantasy outings.
He has a favorable matchup coming against Dallas, who he went for 44 yards on seven receptions and catches against back in week 1.
8. Cade Otton
Otton was held in check in a tougher test in week 11. He will look to bounce back in week 12 against the Rams.
It's a pretty favorable matchup on paper, but Otton would be a better fantasy asset if the team was still without Chris Godwin and Bucky Irving. I still have him at No. 8 if those two play alongside Otton.
Pitts has fallen off these past three weeks, so maybe a quarterback change will do him well.
He will have a pretty average test coming against the Saints, and in a week where four teams have byes, it means Pitts gets a top-10 ranking.
10. Jake Ferguson
Ferguson scored a touchdown in week 11 to post a good fantasy score. If he hadn't scored, he'd have been in single digits as a fantasy asset for three games in a row.
The Eagles are a very, very tough test for tight ends, so things aren't looking up for Ferguson, who had 23 yards on five grabs and six targets against Philly back in week 1.
11. Dalton Schultz
Schultz looks like he will be good to go for Thursday night against the Bills, which is good, because he's been a big part of the offense the past three weeks.
The Bills are the toughest fantasy test for a tight end, which is what kept Schultz out of my top 10 this week.
12. Mark Andrews
Andrews delivered again for fantasy owners in week 11, this time scoring a rushing touchdown to get into double figures as a fantasy asset.
The Jets are a pretty average test for a tight end, and with his touchdown upside, I like the idea of starting Andrews in a good amount of leagues.
13. Theo Johnson
Johnson regressed a bit in week 11, which was a bit surprising given he had a pretty solid matchup. He'll look to get rolling again in a week 12 clash against the Lions.
Detroit is a below-average test for the young tight end, but nothing too crazy.
14. Juwan Johnson
Johnson was off in week 11, which halted a nice stretch for the Saints' tight end.
If not for a very tough test against the Falcons, I'd have likely had Johnson inside my top 10. Don't sleep on him - just check the numbers to see why I like him.
15. Noah Fant
I'm high on Fant this week, but for good reason.
Ja'Marr Chase is out this week because of a one-game suspension, so Fant will be more involved offensively for the Bengals' offense. Fant has a favorable test against the Patriots too, so I see him being a surprise fantasy performer for week 12.
16. Harold Fannin
Fannin has had a couple of lackluster fantasy performances in a row, and now will have a new quarterback (Shedeur Sanders) throwing to him.
Throw in a tougher test coming against the Raiders, and I'm down on the young tight end. We'll see if he can surprise.
17. AJ Barner
Barner was a waiver wire pickup this week after erupting for 70 yards on 10 receptions and 11 targets in week 11.
He has the Titans in week 12 - Tennessee is a below-average matchup, otherwise I'd have ranked Barner a bit higher. He still could surprise and outperform my ranking.
18. Mason Taylor
Taylor had a decent, but uninspiring, performance in week 11. Maybe the QB change to Tyrod Taylor will work in his favor, starting with week 12.
He has the Ravens, who are tough on fantasy tight ends. I still wouldn't mind trying Taylor in some deeper fantasy setups.
19. T.J. Hockenson
Hockenson is certainly capable of finishing way higher than this ranking, but he's not deserving of a higher spot after looking at his season numbers - if anything, he's overrated and owned in too many leagues.
The test he has against the Packers is pretty average, so I don't have a reason to expect anything huge from Hockenson.
20. Brenton Strange
Strange looks like he could return from the injured reserve list in week 12 against the Cardinals. He hasn't played since week 5, but was a solid fantasy asset in three of the first four games of the year.
Arizona is a favorable matchup, so if he's cleared for takeoff, I'd be happy to start him in some deeper leagues. I'd want to see how he looks before getting him into standard leagues again.
21. Colston Loveland
Loveland has tailed off after his week 9 breakout performance.
If you like playing matchups, then this is one to chase, as the Steelers struggle to slow tight ends. We'll see if Loveland can take advantage of the matchup.
22. Chig Okonkwo
Okonkwo is going overlooked, but I still have him in my rankings. The season-ending injury to Calvin Ridley should open up more opportunities for the tight end.
Okonkwo has a super favorable matchup coming against the Seahawks, so there's a chance he delivers, and makes this ranking look foolish.
23. David Njoku
Njoku barely did anything in week 11, so he's looking to bounce back in week 12 against the Raiders.
Again, that's a tough test, so I'm not very high on the Cleveland tight end.
24. Brock Wright
Sam LaPorta is out a couple more weeks, so Wright is the team's top tight end. He got seven targets last week, but only caught two for seven yards.
His week 12 matchup against the Giants is tough, which is why he ranks here and why I'm not expecting much from him.
Washington had a breakout game in week 11, but didn't get much waiver wire love after the outing. Having Jonnu Smith and Pat Freiermuth on the same roster doesn't help Washington.
The Bears are an average fantasy matchup, so with my final pick in my week 12 rankings, I decided to roll with the big man again.
