Backup Role in New Orleans Keeps Fant Off Fantasy Draft Radars
Noah Fant enters his first season in New Orleans operating as the secondary tight end behind Juwan Johnson. Coming off a 297-yard campaign in Cincinnati, the eighth-year veteran provides reliable depth in a re-tooled passing attack led by quarterback Tyler Shough.
Draft momentum for Fant has remained ice-cold, with his ADP sliding into the late 600s and roster rates sitting at just two percent. Our season projections mirror that market skepticism, anticipating 31 receptions for 289 yards and two touchdowns across 41 targets (66.5 PPR fantasy points).
While Fant demonstrated red-zone flashes with Shough during preseason action, his path to consistent volume is blocked in a pass-catching group featuring Chris Olave and Johnson.
