Fading Target Share and Plummeting Draft Cost Keep Veteran on Fantasy Margins

Slayton enters his eighth NFL campaign as an experienced perimeter option for the Giants. While listed as a starting outside receiver opposite Malik Nabers, New York's crowded pass-catching group featuring Darnell Mooney, Jalin Hyatt, and tight end Isaiah Likely caps his weekly target upside.

Draft market momentum has cratered over the summer. Slayton's ADP plummeted from the mid-300s in July to past pick 660 by late August, accompanied by fantasy rostership falling to just 6%. Fantasy managers in 1.0 PPR leagues are largely avoiding him as a fading asset.

Our projections forecast a modest stat line of 35 receptions, 475 receiving yards, and three touchdowns on 59 targets (102.0 PPR points). Even with Calvin Austin III sidelined for the year, Slayton profiles purely as deep-league insurance rather than a dependable fantasy starter.
