Josh Norris | Fantasy Outlook
Norris seeks offensive spark on Buffalo's top line against Florida
Josh Norris heads into Monday's home clash against the Florida Panthers at KeyBank Center looking to kickstart his season. Through five games, the 27-year-old forward has been quiet with just a single assist and five shots on goal, leading to a steady drop in fantasy roster share down to nine percent. Nonetheless, his opportunity remains elevated as he skates on Buffalo's top line alongside Tage Thompson and Jack Quinn while handling second-unit power-play responsibilities. Buffalo enters as slight home favorites in what projects as a higher-scoring environment against Florida, likely facing goaltender Jacob Markstrom (unconfirmed).
Our projection expects Norris to turn things around modestly today, forecasting ~1 point, a small goal chance, and ~1–2 shots on goal for roughly 2.9 fantasy points. His top-six minutes and faceoff duties provide a solid baseline, even if his shot generation has lagged recently. Looking across the week, Buffalo has four total games on the schedule, giving Norris three road matchups after tonight to accumulate roughly 4.3 projected fantasy points. While the role is enticing, his cold start warrants patience in shallow leagues. Today’s action: Cautious Start.
