Alex Lyon remains sidelined with upper-body injury as Sabres host Stars
Alex Lyon will remain out of the lineup tonight as the Buffalo Sabres host the Dallas Stars at KeyBank Center. While the veteran netminder was spotted on the ice during morning skate earlier this week, head coach Lindy Ruff noted there is still no timetable for his return from an upper-body injury suffered in late September. With Lyon on injured reserve, Buffalo leans on Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Colten Ellis in net. His fantasy rostership has steadily dipped down to 31% amid the absence. Buffalo enters at 2–1–0 as slight home underdogs against Dallas in a higher-scoring matchup environment.
With Lyon officially sidelined, our daily projection expects zero saves and no win opportunity tonight, offering no fantasy utility. Buffalo has three scheduled games on the docket this fantasy week, but our projections anticipate no crease time or fantasy points for Lyon until he is formally activated from injured reserve. Fantasy managers should keep him stashed on IR spots if depth is needed, but he cannot be active in lineups. Today’s action: Bench.
