Zach Benson | Fantasy Outlook
Benson brings top-six role and PP1 upside into Montreal clash
Zach Benson and the Sabres travel north to Bell Centre tonight to take on the Montreal Canadiens in what figures to be a higher-scoring environment. The 21-year-old winger remains locked into a premium second-line assignment alongside Noah Ostlund and Jack Quinn, while also featuring on Buffalo's top power-play unit. While Benson is still hunting for his first goal of the season, his playmaking has been sharp with five assists across eight games and an expanded workload nearing 20 minutes per night. Buffalo (4-3-1) enters as a slight underdog against Montreal, who are expected to start Jacob Fowler (unconfirmed) in net.
Our projection pencils Benson in for ~1 point and ~1–2 shots on goal, along with modest peripheral coverage of ~1–2 hits, translating to roughly 3.0 fantasy points. While our models consider him unlikely to score tonight, his playmaker role on the top power play gives him sneaky upside. Tonight wraps up Buffalo's four-game weekly slate, offering managers one final opportunity to capitalize on his top-six deployment before the week closes. If you need an offensive plug-in for Saturday's games, he fits the bill nicely. Today’s action: Stream.
