Owen Power | Fantasy Outlook
Owen Power quarterbacks top power play in Montreal fresh off overtime heroics
Owen Power heads into the Bell Centre tonight in top form after delivering a dramatic overtime game-winner against Toronto on Thursday. With Rasmus Dahlin sidelined by an upper-body injury, the 23-year-old blueliner has taken over Buffalo’s top power-play unit alongside Tage Thompson while eating over 26 minutes of ice time per night. Fantasy managers have taken note, pushing his roster rate from 38% earlier this month up over 71%. The Sabres enter Montreal as slight underdogs in a projected higher-scoring environment against Canadiens netminder Jacob Fowler (unconfirmed), giving Power another ideal offensive setup.
Our data projects Power for ~1 point, ~1–2 shots on goal, and a small goal chance tonight, translating to about 3.1 fantasy points. His quarterbacking duties on PP1 provide sustained high-ceiling upside even if his physical peripherals remain modest. Tonight represents the fourth and final game of Buffalo’s busy four-game weekly slate, making this an essential spot to maximize his expanded ice time and hot stick before the fantasy week concludes. Given his expanded role and multi-point capabilities, he is locked in for tonight. Today’s action: Strong Start.
