Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings for Week 12: Matthew Stafford, Daniel Jones, Baker Mayfield and More
Morgan gives his week 12 fantasy football rankings for quarterbacks.
It's time to put together fantasy football quarterback rankings for week 12!
We already went over the top-30 PPR running backs and wide receivers, and will cover the top-25 tight ends in a story to come, so check back for that.
Check out week 12 fantasy football projections for quarterbacks on FantasySP as well.
1. Jalen Hurts
Hurts gets the No. 1 fantasy QB spot for week 12, even though he's been a bit underwhelming this season.
A great matchup against the Cowboys is why he gets the top spot. Hurts had 152 passing yards and 62 rushing yards and two scores in the first game against Dallas.
2. Drake Maye
Maye had a case for the top spot too as he gets ready for a favorable matchup against the Bengals.
We'll see if Maye can keep producing elite numbers for his fantasy owners.
Jackson struggled in week 11 despite helping his team to a win.
A pretty favorable test against the Jets is a chance for Jackson to bounce back and return to being a top-end fantasy QB.
Mahomes has been held in check the past couple weeks in what were tougher tests.
The Colts are another tougher challenge for him, but I can only bet against Mahomes so far in these rankings, so he gets the No. 4 spot.
5. Josh Allen
Allen accounted for six touchdowns last week, showing why he's an elite fantasy QB.
He ranks a bit lower this week because of a brutal test against the Texans, who are the toughest fantasy challenge for a QB. We'll see if Allen can still deliver eye-popping numbers.
6. Brock Purdy
Purdy returned to the field in week 11 and was sharp on his way to a big fantasy showing.
A tougher test against the Panthers is holding him back from being a top-five fantasy option this week.
Stafford had a down week 11, but still put up a good fantasy score.
Tampa Bay is a high-end matchup for Stafford, but lacking rushing numbers, he too falls outside the top five.
8. Dak Prescott
Prescott was stellar in week 11, and will need to keep delivering to give Dallas a chance to win every game.
The Eagles are a below-average matchup for him. He had 188 passing yards and three rushing yards against them in week 1, but I expect more from Prescott in round two.
9. Daniel Jones
Jones has struggled with turnovers over the past couple games, but he still has put up average fantasy totals still.
The Chiefs will be a tougher test for Jones, but I'm expecting above-average results.
10. Jared Goff
Goff was held down by the Eagles in week 11 a bit, but I got the Lions' QB bouncing back in week 12 against the Giants.
New York is the second-most favorable fantasy test for a QB, so Goff could easily outperform my ranking for him, especially if the Lions are scoring through the air.
11. Jaxson Dart
Dart's status will need to be monitored, as he missed week 11 with a concussion.
His matchup against the Lions is an above-average one, so if the rookie plays, I expect big things from him.
12. Jordan Love
Love and the Packers' offense bounced back a bit in week 11, and now he'll look to get in a groove against the Vikings.
It's a tougher matchup on paper, but I expect average-or-better fantasy results for Love, especially if Josh Jacobs is unavailable.
13. Jacoby Brissett
Brissett has been an above-average fantasy asset since taking over as the Cardinals' starting QB.
A matchup against the Jaguars is another chance for Brissett to shine as a fantasy asset, so don't be afraid to fire him up in standard leagues this coming week.
14. Caleb Williams
Williams struggled again as a fantasy asset in week 11, so I'm down on him a bit for week 12.
Pittsburgh is an above-average matchup for the second-year QB, so we'll see if he can bounce back.
15. Baker Mayfield
The Bucs might not be winning, but Mayfield has been a good fantasy asset over the past couple weeks.
The Rams are a tougher challenge for him, which is why he ranks down at No. 15 for me.
16. Sam Darnold
Darnold struggled in week 11, so that's now two straight weeks of well below-average play.
In a bit more favorable matchup against the Titans in week 12, I expect Darnold to bounce back.
17. Trevor Lawrence
Lawrence has quietly been a good fantasy asset over the past six weeks, with average-or-better results in five of those.
The Cardinals are a tougher test, otherwise I'd have ranked Lawrence a bit higher.
18. Joe Flacco
Flacco was a below-average fantasy QB last week, and maybe some of his magic is fizzling out as Joe Burrow nears a return.
With Ja'Marr Chase out for week 12 because of a suspension, I am down on Flacco as a fantasy asset. He has an average matchup against the Patriots, so I expect average-or-so fantasy results, so fire him up in deeper leagues.
19. Aaron Rodgers
I expect Rodgers to play through his wrist injury in week 12.
If he plays, he will have a favorable matchup against the Bears. The injury concern is why he ranks 19th.
20. Davis Mills
Mills will start a third straight game in place of the concussed C.J. Stroud.
His Thursday night test against the Bills is very tough, which is why I ranked Mills 20th despite good fantasy results the past two weeks.
21. Bryce Young
Young erupted for over 30 fantasy points last week, which was definitely an outlier performance.
A favorable test against the Niners is a chance for Young to shine again though, so I'm not against starting him, especially in deeper leagues.
22. Kirk Cousins
Cousins will start for the injured Michael Penix, who is now out for the season.
Cousins will face the Saints in week 12. New Orleans is a slightly below-average matchup, and until the veteran QB shows something, he'll be a below-average option for me.
23. J.J. McCarthy
McCarthy cannot seem to string good fantasy performances together, so he's another below-average option in my eyes.
The Packers are a tough test for him, so I'd only want to start him in deeper leagues in week 12.
24. Tyrod Taylor
Taylor is the new starting quarterback for the Jets, and he'll face the Ravens in week 12.
Baltimore is a slightly above-average matchup for him, so I have him outscoring four QBs this coming week.
25. Geno Smith
Smith continues to struggle as the Raiders' starting QB, and I wonder how much longer he has as the top guy.
The Browns are a very tough matchup for him, so that's another reason to avoid Smith in week 12.
26. Tyler Shough
Shough had his best fantasy performance in his last outing, so we'll see if he can build on that after a bye week.
The Falcons are a slightly below-average test for him, so that's why he falls to No. 26.
27. Cameron Ward
Ward has yet to even post a 15-point fantasy showing in his rookie campaign, so he's not trustworthy, even in great matchups.
Seattle is a slightly below-average matchup for him, so he ranks ahead of just one guy.
28. Shedeur Sanders
Sanders will make a start for the injured Dillon Gabriel against the Raiders in week 12.
Sanders was awful in relief of Gabriel last week, so even with an average matchup coming, I'm not going to trust Sanders above any other fantasy QB.
Final Notes
If Jameis Winston starts again for Dart, I'd rank Winston between Young and Cousins for the coming week.
If Mason Rudolph starts for Rodgers, I'd drop Rudolph between McCarthy and Taylor.
UPDATE: If Burrow ends up starting over Flacco, I'd rank him between Goff and Dart
