It's time to go over the top-30 PPR fantasy football running backs for week 12!
We just went over wide receivers, and will cover quarterbacks and tight ends in other stories, so check back for those articles.

CMC gets the No. 1 RB spot going into week 12.
A pretty favorable test against the Panthers is a chance for McCaffrey to lead the RB position again.
2. Jahmyr Gibbs
Give me Gibbs at No. 2 for week 12.
He's been on a tear over the past two weeks, and has a chance to deliver big numbers again in a favorable test against the Giants. Only two fantasy matchups are better for backs, so I expect Gibbs to star.
This seems too low for Taylor, who has been the top fantasy back this season.
A tougher test against the Chiefs is why I'm “lower” on Taylor for week 12 though.
Robinson was great in week 11 and now gets the Saints in week 12.
That's a pretty average matchup, so I expect the star back to shine.
Barkley has underwhelmed most of this season, but I see him as a top-five asset in week 12.
He gets the Cowboys, who he posted 84 total yards and a score against back in week 1. Dallas is a favorable matchup on paper, so trust Barkley to get the job done.
6. Rico Dowdle
Dowdle has been a steady fantasy asset since taking over as the team's starting RB.
He gets the 49ers on Monday night this week. San Fran is a slightly above-average matchup, so I expect Dowdle to excel in this game.
Henry was good in a tougher matchup last week, and has been in double figures five straight weeks now.
A week 12 test against the Jets is just above average, so I expect more good things from the Baltimore back.
8. James Cook
Cook has been in double figures in four straight games, and I expect more of the same in week 12 against the Texans.
It's a tougher matchup on paper, but in a short week, I trust Cook and the Bills' running game to get the job done.
Williams is being overshadowed by a good Rams' offense, but he's been great most of the year. He has just one single-digit PPR performance.
A week 12 clash with the Bucs is very favorable, so this ranking might end up being too low for Williams.
10. Javonte Williams
The other Williams running back has slowed a bit over the past two weeks, but really it's just a lack of touchdowns that has held his fantasy score down.
He's got a slightly above-average test coming against the Eagles, who he went for 64 total yards and two scores on 17 touches in week 1.
11. Chase Brown
Brown has reemerged as a good fantasy asset in the Cincinnati offense, and will take on more this week with Ja'Marr Chase out.
If not for a very tough test against the Patriots, Brown would be a top-10 option.
12. Bucky Irving
Irving is nearing a return to the field, and I think it comes in week 12 against the Rams.
That's a very tough fantasy test, which is why he ranks 12th.
If Irving is out again, then I'd take Sean Tucker as the top Bucs' back, but rank him closer to No. 20.
13. Jaylen Warren or Kenneth Gainwell
Warren's status needs to be watched, as he's dealing with an ankle injury. If he's out, Gainwell would replace him at No. 13.
The test against the Bears in week 12 is an average one, but with Aaron Rodgers banged up and maybe out, I have Warren or Gainwell as above-average fantasy backs.
14. D'Andre Swift
Swift is the other lead back in that game, and I have him ranked 14th.
He's got a tough test on paper, and with Kyle Monangai stealing some work, I have Swift ranked a touch lower in a week where four teams are on byes.
15. Ashton Jeanty
Jeanty is coming off a rough showing on the ground, but he did enough as a pass catcher to deliver a decent fantasy mark.
The Browns are a tougher matchup for him, and after that poor showing, I'm not as high on Jeanty as others are - he's still a good starting option in all leagues.
Henderson has erupted over the past couple weeks, and now I see him as the Pats' clear No. 1 back the rest of the season.
Even if Rhamondre Stevenson is back in the mix, the best possible fantasy matchup against the Bengals should mean a huge fantasy score for Henderson.
17. Emanuel Wilson
I don't see Josh Jacobs playing in week 12, which leaves Wilson as the top Packers' back.
If not for a tougher test against the Vikings, Wilson would have ranked a little higher.
If Jacobs ends up playing, I'd rank him around No. 12.
18. Breece Hall
Hall struggled in week 11 in a tougher matchup.
He has a more favorable matchup coming against the Ravens, so there's a chance Hall bounces back.
19. Quinshon Judkins
Judkins was also held in check in week 11, but I see him getting going in week 12 against the Raiders.
Las Vegas is a slightly below-average matchup, but I see Cleveland leaning on Judkins more as Shedeur Sanders makes his first start.
20. Kenneth Walker
Walker was fantastic in week 11, and now has a better fantasy outlook moving forward.
A favorable test against the Titans is a chance for him to stack another good fantasy showing on last week's outing.
21. Woody Marks
Marks was bottled up in week 11, and now has a short week, as he plays Thursday against the Bills.
Buffalo struggles mightily to stop running backs, so Marks has the chance to bounce back, and greatly outperform my ranking. I'm down on him because of the short week turnaround.
22. Travis Etienne
Etienne was really good in week 11, and has three straight above-average performances.
A pretty favorable test against the Cardinals awaits, so it's a chance for Etienne to be above average again.
23. Alvin Kamara
Kamara had one of his better fantasy showings in his last outing.
It's a favorable matchup, which gives him standard league starting upside again.
24. Aaron Jones Sr.
Jones has been in double figures in three straight games, and now gets to face his former team.
Green Bay is a below-average fantasy matchup for a running back, but they've been weaker than that of late.
25. David Montgomery
Montgomery was really bottled up against the Eagles in week 11, but I expect him back in double figures in week 12 against the Giants.
That favorable matchup should help him and Gibbs both shine.
26. Zach Charbonnet
Walker might have reestablished himself as RB1 in Seattle, but Charbonnet is still likely to play enough to deliver good fantasy results.
The favorable matchup against the Titans is a chance for Charbonnet to also finish as a top-30 fantasy back.
27. Tyrone Tracy
Tracy had a nice fantasy day in week 11, and it came without a score.
I'd be higher on him if not for a brutal test against the Lions, who are the toughest matchup a fantasy back can have.
28. Tyjae Spears
Spears has been in single digits the past two weeks, but in a game Tennessee is likely to be trailing most of the way, I have Spears as a pretty good fantasy asset.
Seattle is his matchup, and it's a slightly below-average matchup on paper.
29. Kareem Hunt
I think Isiah Pacheco could return this week, but I still have Hunt as the team's top fantasy back.
Indy is another below-average matchup on paper, but with touchdown upside, Hunt still lands a top-30 spot for me.
30. Trey Benson or Bam Knight
I think Benson could finally return to the field in week 12 - if he doesn't, then Knight gets the No. 30 spot.
A tougher matchup against Jacksonville is what is holding both Arizona backs from being ranked higher.
