Today, I thought it would be fun to go over the top-100 fantasy football picks and determine the best and worst picks in each round.

I'm going to have a 10-team league in mind, so we'll discuss 10 players. The first article will be on the top picks in each round - check back for the story on the worst options in each round.

Fantasy football average draft position data can be found on FantasySP in the leadup to the 2026 NFL season! Conduct your fantasy football mock drafts through FantasySP too - you can now customize the scoring settings to tailor to your fantasy leagues!

Round 1 - Bijan Robinson

I'm set on Robinson as the No. 1 pick, so I have him as the best option of the first 10 picks.

He is set to star for the Falcons' offense, maybe even more than in the past with Tyler Allgeier no longer around. Atlanta has a quarterback issue to work through, but that should mean even more emphasis on getting Robinson the ball, which in turn will make him a fantasy stud.

I think Robinson is the best pick of round 1, with the safest floor and the highest ceiling. We'll see if he can deliver.

Round 2 - Trey McBride

There's a lot of good fantasy players being picked 11th-20th, but McBride seems like the safest option in my eyes.

He's delivered big in the past and should star again in 2026. There's no big injury concerns with him, and while the Cardinals' offense might not be great, it hasn't in the past and he's delivered.

Between McBride's fantasy history and some of the other options available in round 2, he just feels like the best option of the bunch.

Round 3 - Josh Allen

There were a few options I considered for round 3 (including Derrick Henry), but I felt safest with Allen.

He's got a great chance to finish as QB1 again in 2026, and he should be a top-10 fantasy player overall. Getting him in round 3 is great value (and no, I'm not saying he should be drafted earlier).

If it gets to be your pick in round 3 and you're not loving your options, then grab Allen and solidify your fantasy QB spot for the year.

Round 4 - Kyren Williams

Williams is the 31st player taken on average so far, so he's the first guy going in round 4. He's the guy I couldn't pass when comparing him to the other options between picks 31-40.

Williams is part of a great Rams' offense, has been a good/great fantasy asset over the years and there's no reason to expect differently this coming season.

He has a chance to finish in the top 10 at the position, so getting him in round 4 feels like a win, with room for him to outproduce that draft slot too.

Round 5 - Emeka Egbuka

Things are getting tougher as we hit the fifth round. I settled on Egbuka, but there are several solid options out there.

Egbuka started his rookie year hot before fading. With Mike Evans no longer around, I like Egbuka's outlook for his sophomore season. The Bucs' offense should be good yet, and Egbuka should lead the pass catchers.

I think Egbuka could turn into a draft steal, and has the highest upside available among the round 5 picks, so he gets the nod for me here.

Round 6 - Drake Maye

I'm surprised Maye isn't going earlier in drafts, but that could also change before the season. I think he's clearly the best pick in round 6.

Maye was a top-10 fantasy player last year, and nothing the team did this offseason indicates a big dropoff coming. That makes Maye a great draft value pick in round 6.

If you don't feel like grabbing Allen in round 3, but want to go after a high-upside QB, Maye offers even more draft value here in round 6.

Round 7 - Brian Thomas

I don't love the options in round 7, so I'm going with a bounceback candidate in Thomas.

He was stellar as a rookie before falling off in his second season. I see bigger things ahead for Thomas.

Thomas is part of a good offense and should be the top option in the passing game. If he can bounce back, he'll be a big-time draft steal for the coming year.

Round 8 - Jadarian Price

I keep ending up with players from my mock draft I did on Wednesday. Price seems like the player with the highest upside among the round 8 picks though, and that's what I'm after when trying to get the best pick in each round.

I think the rookie back is going to shine in Seattle, where he could serve as the RB1 all season. Zach Charbonnet is still around, but he's coming off a major injury.

That sets up Price to possibly soar as a rookie. I'd be all over him in round 8, especially if you are lacking at running back at that point of the draft.

Round 9 - Kyle Pitts Sr.

Pitts finally delivered a good fantasy season, after years of underwhelming since his rookie year. I like him the best among the players available in round 9.

Pitts is set to be a pretty big part of the Falcons' offense still, even with Drake London and Robinson leading the charge. Again, the quarterback situation is a bit worrisome, but Pitts should be able to deliver well, like he did last season in a similar situation.

If you haven't landed a fantasy tight end by this round, Pitts is a really good option to take as your first guy.

Round 10 - Wan'Dale Robinson

The options in round 10 are so-so, and Robinson is the name that stuck out the most to me.

He's coming off a big season with the Giants and is primed for a good year next in Tennessee. The offense has some pass catchers, but nobody is super established.

If Cameron Ward can take a step forward, Robinson could thrive as the team's slot receiver and be a big fantasy surprise and draft steal for a second straight year.
