Round 1 - Bijan Robinson
Robinson is the consensus No. 1 pick in fantasy right now, and I'm going to make him my top pick as well.
Atlanta has quarterback problems to work through yet, but Robinson should still star for the offense. Whether as a running back or pass catcher, Robinson will be the workhorse RB and turn in a monster fantasy season as a result.
He's a great fantasy asset to build around.
Rounds 2 and 3 - Trey McBride and Derrick Henry
With the first of my back-to-back picks, I selected McBride and Henry.
I really wanted a wide receiver with one of these picks, but didn't like the value of anyone available. I'm confident I can get solid fantasy wideouts later, so I decided on a tight end and second running back instead.
McBride has a great chance to be the top fantasy tight end, and selecting him means I could avoid the TE position the rest of the way if I wanted. He's in line to be a huge part of the Cardinals' offense, even with some other playmakers around and a so-so quarterback situation.
I'm expecting big things from McBride, and still believe he could outproduce his draft slot.
As for Henry, he just keeps chugging along, delivering big fantasy seasons time and time again. He's bound to slow at some point, but I don't see it happening in 2026. I think he offers great value at this pick, and could be a top-10 RB again - I got him 12th at the position.
If he delivers a top-10 showing, or simply matches his draft slot, I love the way my team is looking, especially at running back.
Rounds 4 and 5 - Luther Burden and Emeka Egbuka
I finally got a couple wide receivers here in rounds 4 and 5. I took a couple second-year receivers poised for bigger roles.
Burden is going to have a bigger role in the Bears' offense after the team moved on from D.J. Moore. The Chicago offense is on the rise, and I expect Burden to take a nice step forward and be a good weekly option.
I think I actually like Egbuka a bit more. He started his 2025 rookie year hot before fading a bit. With Mike Evans gone, Egbuka should lead the Bucs' wide receiver room, and he should be another good weekly option.
It's not a great 1-2 punch at receiver, so the plan will be to add more weekly starting options in the rounds to come.
Rounds 6 and 7 - Quinshon Judkins and Brian Thomas
With my next picks, I got a third option at running back and wide receiver.
Judkins has mixed reviews from fantasy players/experts coming into the season. I was drawn to him because he fell several picks past his ADP. I do think he's in store for a big second season, and if he explodes, my fantasy team will be sitting pretty, with running back being a big position of strength.
Thomas is a bounceback candidate after a stellar rookie year in 2024 before a down 2025 campaign. I expect more out of Thomas in 2026, and think this is good draft value for him. If he can even split the difference between his two seasons so far, I'd be happy.
Rounds 8 and 9 - Jadarian Price and Courtland Sutton
I got another running back and wide receiver with my picks in rounds 8 and 9.
Price is a huge sleeper in my eyes. I think he has a chance to shine as a rookie in Seattle, especially early on as Zach Charbonnet works back from a major injury. If Price excels this season, I will have running backs to possibly move to improve areas of need.
I wanted to take a quarterback, but thought I'd better give myself another wide receiver option, and Sutton was who I landed on instead of Alec Pierce. Sutton has competition for targets/production after the team acquired Jaylen Waddle, but I still see Sutton leading the way and being a weekly starting option, so he bumps that position up another notch for me.
Rounds 10 and 11 - Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes
I waited on my quarterback, then decided to draft two with back-to-back picks.
Ideally, Mahomes can play early on and look good after his major injury. If he doesn't suit up right away, I can stash him and start Herbert, who is a good weekly option as well.
Usually, I wouldn't take two high-level fantasy QBs like this, but the injury to Mahomes affords me the opportunity, and I decided to take it. I could trade one of the two if both are top-end fantasy QBs in 2026.
Rounds 12 and 13 - Travis Kelce and KC Concepcion
I got a second tight end and another wide receiver with my final two player picks in this draft.
Kelce is a flex option if he's performing well this season, and is insurance in case McBride is ever hurt or on his bye. Kelce can still deliver here and there, and with a weak crop of wide receivers, I thought getting a second tight end could help a bit.
Concepcion is a rookie wideout I really like, despite the underwhelming offense he's on. Hopefully he takes off right away and gives me another weekly starting option. If not, I'd just move on from him for the hottest waiver wire option.
Rounds 14 and 15 - Cameron Dicker and Browns DST
Dicker is my kicker and the Browns were my choice for defense/special teams.
Dicker is a good fantasy option, so I was happy to draft him as my every-week starter. I expect the Chargers' offense to score plenty of points, making Dicker a good fantasy option.
The Browns DST might not appear to be a good option, but they were stellar in 2025 despite overall team failure. If the DST can even be a top-10 fantasy option this season, I'd be happy.
Final Thoughts
I was graded as a 94/100 with this mock draft, which was behind just one team.
I feel that running back is my real position of strength. Led by Robinson and Henry, I have a strong floor, and Judkins and Price could take that position from great to elite. It'd be the first position I'd try to trade from if another position was lacking.
I like my QB room with Herbert and Mahomes. I already talked about the strategy in getting both those guys, and it could mean I don't have to add any quarterbacks off the waiver wire all season.
Tight end is strong just because of the McBride selection - getting Kelce as a backup is just gravy. Kelce could be a trade option if he's excelling, especially early on.
Wideout is my weakest spot, but Burden, Egbuka, Thomas, Sutton and Concepcion give me five good options. They might not be elite, but they are solid weekly options and could be at least an average fantasy group for me. Anything more and it takes my team over the top.
I like my kicker and DST as well, and think it rounds out a very good fantasy roster overall. I feel this team would be playoff bound as long as I'm not devastated by injuries. The play of my wideouts would likely determine if I could win it all.
Overall, I like the look of my first mock draft. Keep checking back for more as the NFL season gets closer!
