Promising Backup Backfield Option Offers Cheap Stand-Alone Value and Immense Handcuff Upside

Ray Davis is locked in as the primary backup to James Cook III in the Buffalo backfield. Despite playing second fiddle, Davis has expressed a strong desire to showcase his abilities and carve out a more substantial role. Our projections anticipate he will handle around 53 carries and secure a handful of targets.

In PPR leagues, draft analysts are starting to take notice. His ADP has stabilized around 207 after climbing out of the late-May discount range. At this current draft cost, our models view Davis as a fantastic late-round value who represents a cheap bench stash with massive contingency upside if the starter misses time.

While his weekly floor remains low as a secondary option, his high-end physical traits make him an essential roster target. Fantasy managers should prioritize Davis at the end of drafts to secure one of the premier insurance policies in the league.
